The escorts turned to Kleft, "You will be meet soon, you will be evaluated and assigned a temporary job untill the crisis is resolved." and with that they turned and left, closing and locking the door behind them. A little bit afterward a small door opened from the side of the room and another soldier stepped in. "You are about to begin testing, before we start, I would like to ask a few questions. A. What occupation did you hold prior to the Lumar Island's destruction. B. What occupation would you like to hold during your time here, and C. Are you willing to follow orders for the benefit of the whole?"
(Sorry, but you sort of just left me in an empty room with nothing to do. Thanks for the edit ) Kleft looked the soldier in the eyes. "If I must, I will humor you for now. Before Lunar Island was..." he shuddered. "...destroyed...I was not employed. I lived as a...well I suppose you could call me a squire. My master was a brilliant pony, he taught me nearly everything I know. Chancellor Mathiss filled in everything else at his seminars. While I'm here, I suppose I could work in any sort of defense/guarding, but if I have to go all monotone emotionless soldier like you, leave me out. As for following orders, anything within sanity will do."
The guard nodded, "Perfect. Follow me." the guard led Kleft down a long hallway and up several flights of stairs before he opened a hatch, "Tremalion wants you to watch his little protege, Snow. Be warned, for she is about to have to defeat a literal inner demon." and after Kleft was through the hatch, it was closed, leaving him on the gold and white streets of Freemanelius City with the steps up to the Grand Palace at the end of the road. (the grand Palace is where Snow is right now.)
Kleft raised his arm to block the sunlight that forced its way into his eyes. After a few moments, he gave up and conjured a shield above himself to polarize the light to a point where he is not blinded. Now that he could see, he looked up at the building in front of him and gasped. It was marvelous, and he could not help but admire how long it must have taken to create. 'If I had still been on Lunar Island, I suppose I never would have gotten to see all this...' he thought. He wandered to the end of the road, passing some ponies who gave him very strange looks due to his shield. As he approached the stairs, he realized walking was nonsensical. The moment he teleported to the top, he was apprehended. "Stop there!" one guard yelled. Kleft turned and looked at his hailer. "This is the Grand Palace, what business do you have here!?" he demanded. Kleft sighed. Do none of the ponies communicate with each other around here? At least this guy seemed to have some emotions. "I was called to the palace to be a protege to some pony known as Snow." Kleft told the guard. He suddenly straightened and tried to look his best and strongest. This really freaked out Kleft. "Right, come with me!" he said, a bit shakier than earlier. Kleft shrugged and followed him into the palace.
Once inside, beauty of the hall almost stopped the pair in their tracks. The guard quickly recovered and lead Kleft on, they reached the end of the hall the guard saluted to seemingly nothing and yelled, "Sir, you have a visitor sir!" Snow suddenly came out from a hidden room, "What is it? Who is this!" Snow said obviously annoyed. "It's your visitor sir! Tremalion wishes for him to be with you for the event sir!" Snow sighed, "Guess I can't ignore a direct order from Tremalion. DISMISSED!" The guard saluted and half ran out. "Now, what is your name, and where are you from." Snow demanded, still in commander mode.
Kleft was surprised at how rash this pony could be. 'Does she act this way for EVERYPONY?' he thought. Kleft cleared his throat and said "By order...or command...or whatever you wish to call it, of Tremalion, I am to be your protege. My name is Kleft Praise, and I am from what was previously known as Lunar Island, and is now known as Crater-Where-Civilization-Could-Have-Thrived. An airship captain who goes by the name of Rashall took the liberty of blowing it off the face of Equestria while it was under attack. Enough about me now, what makes you so special that I have to be your protege? I'm sure Tremalion could have chosen somepony much more useful than me for the job." (I feel like we're the only two on this thread )
Snow's hard expression suddenly relaxed, "I'm sorry truely for how I acted, but I can't show weakness to those below me, that would undermine the whole army. And I think I know why he needs you, you see, I had a bad run in with an alicorn named Black Plague, and he impeded in me a monster of an alicorn, one just like him, one that wishes to destroy this world and everything in it. And I plan on unleashing it, to defeat it once and for all. And as I lack my usual friend, Dark Light, I need some pony to help me, and I guess Tremalion thought it to be you. Now follow me." Snow walked back into the hidden room, but held the door open for Kleft to follow.
Kleft walked in, attempting to look unphased. He had heard that name before...Black Plague. He tried to shake it out of his head. "So what's your big plan for taking down this alicorn?" He inquired. "I have pretty much no experience with anything but unicorns, so I don't know how much help I can be." He suddenly stopped as his memories affiliated the name Dark Plague with the alicorn he had seen in his vision. If she had an encounter with something like that...he shuddered. The possibilities of what he had done to her could be endless...
"The idea is for me to cast a seperation spell that will split her from me, and then the battle shall ensue from there. But we cannot begin until a friend of mine gets here, she is critical to this battle's success. In the meantime, we can talk and discuss battle plans." Snow said, suddenly the floor started going up, and they found themselves on the tall, large flat roof of the hall, "The battle shall take place here, so get your bearings."
Kleft was horrorstricken. "WAIT, you mean to summon it right now once your friend gets here!?" He quickly began smashing his panic into a little ball in his mind. "Sorry about that..." he said. "Surprises tend to do that to me, I'll go get ready." He trotted over to a nearby clearing and sat down. 'I should probably introspect this battle's outcome...' he thought. He shut his eyes and his horn glowed with its usual light-violet aura. He began his meditation as he waited for whomever was supposed to begin the seperation.

(Hey guys, im here. Im fine with more posts) Nocturnal teleported herself into the Palace. She saw snow looking over the battle plans and some new pony that was levertating. "Hey Snow" she said in worry. "Im afraid we might have to kill Dark Plague, Princess Celestria and Luna has both tryed twice over 200 years ago and they were horrificly overpowered. If we keep him alive, then he poses a threat to us all. He Even Destoryed Cloudsdale and everypony in it ! Im sorry, but i have no other choice."
"I know, but I have a feeling that starting with this thing that he did to me will be a good starting point to get us ready and to prevent anything from happening in the middle of the battle. Let me know when you are ready to help face Black Night." Snow said to Nocturnal, and began the first stage of the separation spell.
"Ok, let's begin" Nocturnal said thowards snow. She knew that snow was fighting a demon inside her, it was starting to affect her words and would continue until Snow was exactly like Plague. Nocturnals horn began to shine a dark blue. The magic then covered Snow entirely. "Ok, when ever your ready. Ill release that demon from you."
"Ok, I'll help, I've dealt with something similar to this before. I need you and Kleft to keep Black Night distracted on the outside while I fight her in her mind, trust me." Snow said. When the separation starting taking place, the most terrible pain erupted across Snow's body, it felt like she was being ripped in two. When it was finally over, Snow fell to the ground and looked up to see an all black alicorn that had dark purple eyes standing over her. "Finally! I'm finally away from you!" Black Night began laughing manically as a dense black fog filled the area, "Let's see if you can even find me!" an echoey voice said. "I was not expecting that." Snow said, she could barely even see Nocturnal who was just feet away, let alone Black Night.
"Snow! Where are you" Nocturnal said in a panic. A thick grey mist covered the palace, "Quick Snow ! Ill use a spell to get rid of the mist. "I hope your ready to fight plague, dont worry ill help as much as i can." Plague flew into the citys courtyard. He wanted to wipe out the city so he can start his rule as king " THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE !!! SUBMIT TO MY RULE OF DIE !!!"
