windows 8 right from the start took away the start bar. most people who use windows are not power users nor do most ofus hav touch screens. so taking away what less computer literate users needed to access programs as well as going in favor of a whole new interface that even experienced power users are unfamiliar with meant that 95% of computer illiterate users could not turn to power users they knew for help anymore. on top of which we have seen multiple problems otherthan this with the new windows. within 5 minutes of getting win 8 most folks, especially non power users revert to win 7 for a good reason . fix the problem and we will disuss windows again. after you remove the need for maintenance and antivirus . meanwhile linux = i never have to run defrag, virus scans, etc. I, using ubuntu, have most stuff working on my machine and can get work arounds or fixes for the few thingsthatdon't work outof the box from a few google searches. i also don't haveto pay $60 or more to download the files to make a linux install disk. nor do i have to pay additional fees for registering my os to be allowed to update easily. nor do i ever have to spend six hours waiting to install updates when i shutdown, they install quickly and efficiently i have yet to have any problem simply copying and pasting my files, and settings to a new install, windows charges money for a wire to do this, I can simply copy and paste my linux home folder thus migrating all my personal files, my choice of wallpaper, my settings in all my programs, etc etc over quickly and efficently without payingout money forawirethat is rendered useless afterward but instead use my bckup drive to get it done. also i don't have topay additonal fees forphotoshop,etc etc. i can get gimp for free instead of photoshop, gimp also loads 10 times faster in linux than in windows. instead of microsoft office which always wants you to buy a license even tho it is preinstalled on a machine you just bought new i can getlibreoffice or openoffice. i can go on if i need about how linux is superior for my budget as well as offering cheaper or even free alternatives to microsoft overpriceware. now sir pls letsgetback to the game as this thread is not the place for me to explain to you about how linux works better on many points that out number you rshort list of complaints especially since unlessi have been out of the loop t longsli and raid are not on most common systems today. 1076 get caught by your girlfriend with the glitter so she can ask what other girl your seeing
