"Well. Somepony's nimble." Ecliptic said, catching Morrow's movements. "I think I have a fair understanding of the Alicorn Purge, but it doesn't tell me much about Plague that we couldn't guess. It seems (let me know if I need to change this) the 'Mistake' Joker was talking about was a process that Celestia decided the alicorns should go through that dramatically reduced their powers. See, alicorn magic is much more powerful than even the strongest unicorn mages. Celestia feared that some alicorns would abuse their power to dominate the other pony's. She herself was spared because she was deemed a fair and just ruler, and Luna was still in the moon at the time. There were others who avoided the purge, but this is more theory than fact. I suppose we can assume Plague did. Anyways, the purge itself was a spell designed to inhibit the alicorns extra energy. They would become as capable as the average unicorn or pegasus, evening out the playing field. Now, the 'Mistake' was that it also took away their regenerative abilities and extended lifespan. Those who were already several hundred years old were reduced to elderly husks, while countless others fell prey to common diseases. That's all I found so far, and I can't verify the accuracy. A lot of it was contradictory." Ecliptic finished and looked up from his paper.
(Close, Celestria used this same sort of spell to actually exterminate her own race to save it. This made Plague lose it when he found out and proceded to exterminate tens of millions of innocents.) (4 hours later) Plague had transformed Cloudsdale to his flagcity which his new empire will rule from. Cloudsdale was an enormous fortress with the skyline being dominated by a 100 story tower. Since that Cloudsdale was located 2500 meters above the rest of Equestria and that transportation for a pegasus is now impossable due to the infected rain, Plague could plan and attack any city or town he wanted in absolute safety. Once Equestria had fallen and ruled by him, he would then get his revenge by finishing off the crippled Celestria and Candance. Once they were dead, no other land would stop him. His army was now ready, with the rain about to fall below all over Equestria in less then a minute, Plague was about to use his overwhelming army by using his own Blitzkrieg to infect any normals and kill whoever resisted. Plagues first target was Ponyville and its surounding area, and then assult the major citys such as Manehatten, Fillydelphia and finally finish off Los Pegasus, the location of the Justice Society Headquaters. Plague would deal with the Justice Society on their own terms, where there would be a fight to the death. Plague then teleported to the top of his tower, where the normals and true intected gave him a salute followed by "Long Live the King." -------------------------------------- Joker recieved more messages at his terminal, he recieved a distress call from Ponyville saying that this purple and black rain was falling on the city and that the rain was forming into soliders and other horrifing figures. Joker then put up a final distress video on every screen in the J.S hq. "Hello, can anypony hear me. My name is Winter Rush, i was having a vacation with my son Crimson here until this rain came down and started to slaughter anypony either by death or some sort of infection. Im located at Ponyville, this cloud is all over Equestria.... Im safe at the moment, Crimson is hiding in some bunker nearby, he might assist with what is happening, he has......powers. " The sound of a banshee then let go a ear pieceing scream as it slams a claw through the wall, grabing winter by the neck. "OH CELESTRIA NO !!!" The video camera was suddenly turned around to reveal the shocking scene of Winter being infected after she was stabed through her chest, and a glimpse of Plague laughing at the newly infected Winter and rushing off somewhere else. " The Major wont like this. Justice Society, we need this Crimson kid saved at all costs. If he dies or is infected, we dont stand a chance against Plague. Move out" Joker called out across the P.A
"But Celestia is...gone. What more could he want to fight against now? He's fulfilled his revenge." Sprite asked, curious.
After realizing Plague wasn't coming, and that he probably was fulfilling his plan in earnest right now, Pain left the throne room and out into Equestria. He turned his attention to the sky as he looked at the cloud cover that had grown even more ominous over Equestria. Little did Pain know, but a drop fell right onto his mask, filtering down through its air filter and into his slightly open mouth, and mistake that would cost him dearly. A thousand thoughts suddenly rushed through his head as he looked around Equestria, and ran off to band together his old army...
Lifepool walked in overhearing sprite. "Celestia may be gone but what about the elements of harmony, Luna, shining armour and cadence surely there still alive. Maybe he wants them. Anyhow we should get going". Lifepool was already in full costume and equipment. (duel smg's, duel pistols, duel kitanas). "we haven't got all day" with that said lifepool ran out the top floor windoW and activated his in built hang glider.
"don't go outside the clouds are coming close fast. Oh, and don't jump out the window my hanglider crashed into this hot mares apartment who just got out the window so I have quite a few slap marks. If you need me I'll be hoSpital wing removing some glass". Lifepool hobbled away.
"Smooth, hon, smooth." called Sprite after him. "Well, if any need's me, I'll be in the getting ready.."
It took a matter of hours for Pain to reassemble a good portion of his old gang, numbering about a thousand ponies. The next thing he knew, he had reset up his old base, his old Headquarters, just about ten miles from the Justice Society complex...
"Didnt that Winter mare say that her kid, Crimson, had some sort of power that could help us." Joker said as he walked to see Sprite. "We might need him, he sounds very important." Just as Joker finished his sentence, the rain outside stopped suddenly. "If Plague gets to him first, we are all dead." Joker then located Crimson on a laptop he was carrying. "He isnt far from here, about 10 clicks north." ----------------------- Plague proceeded to slaughter innocents that fought back at him, he carried an innocent mare one by the throat, she struggled to gasp for air. "Where’s Celestria!!!" He demanded. "Why should we trust somepony like you?" The mare struggled to speak. "Because..... you don’t have a choice. NOW TELL ME!!!!” This discussion went on until Plague decided to infect the mare after receiving useless answers. Plague's army is now advancing on major cities, and the zebra and griffon nations are committing to help stop Plague. Plague was in his prime, and he was ready to kill to keep it that way.
Sadly, Sprite's message didn't reach Pain (Mostly because he crushed his JS comm unit), and what could have been Pain's last salvation from the darkness he was about to plunge into. As it was, Pain began to make the city remember why he was feared three years ago, through fire, looting, and all out hell, Pain was merely softening the place up for the final attack by Plague sometime in the future...
Plague decided that after Ponyville, his first location would be the city where the justice society hq was located. He thought that if he could knock them out quickly, liberation and resistance would be reduced to a bare minimum. This was a good plan, he would raise the foundation of his empire, setting up a new world in the progress where the other lands must keep up with the progress or be eradicated. When Plague recieved news that the Zebra and Griffon lands declaired war against him, he smiled. He had more 'Subjects' to rule over. Cloudsdale was under his controll, Ponyville was reduced to rubble and now the other citys are crying out to him, 'Save us Celestria...' And Plague just said. 'No.'
Once again, Ecliptic was dealing with mixed emotions. He was ecstatic to be able to use his abilities for good, like the heroes in the stories he read as a colt, but was equally terrified of failure, and what could happen if the JS was defeated. A true hero never gives up... he thought as he ran to the armory. After their last engagement, it seemed like a good idea to invest in some combat armor. He decided he would make a full costume later. If there is a later...no, I can't think like that. Pushing his doubts aside, Ecliptic regrouped with the others. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's move out."
"Good idea." said Sprite. She looked at Ecliptic and smiled. "When we get back, I'll make you a costume. Blue... No, Black, I think. Ahh, navy blue!" Humming, she flipped in the air, and ran out the window, waving as she fell.
Plague teleported just above where the Justice Society headquaters. He was going to take them out first and then rule Equestria later. "Well if it isnt the Justice Society.... You disapoint me, all this hard work for nothing. Let's just make things clear, im going to kill all of you and then run Equestria right into the ground." Plague then teleported onto the road infront of the Justice League. "There will be no vanishing this time, just a good old fashioned fight to the death. And this time, you shall begin."
Plague suddenly heard a russian-accented voice behind him, "And I'm behind you comrade." he said, if Plague would have looked closely enough, he would have noticed Pain's eyes had a strange tint to them, a sign that would have sent all who saw it the message that Pain was quintessentially under Plague's command now. Behind Pain stood about 30 of his most trusted old lieutenants that he had gathered. "And I will help you in this fight."
"Good to see you Pain, You've chosen the winning side and i respect that." Plague then looked at the Justice Society. "Im going to give you one last chance, join my empire and you will not be slaves or die. The choice is yours."
