The Light of Darkness

"Yes, I do mean Chrysalis, and the one I speak of was Erika, she was the bravest and strongest of us all, smart, powerful, she was the shining example of a rogue though. Dark times had hit when she had died, One by one we all began to fall apart, Ragna sacrificed himself to destroy most of the hive once and for all and render Chrysalis completely harmless for many years to come until recently. After their deaths, we went up against a group of "gods" known as the Waypth, and as we fought I nearly died, but at that matter Luna thought I was truly dead. Celestia left me for dead, all she did was shrug it off and left me out there... Luna attempted to come back for me, but Celestia closed a portal that lead from this world to the world we fought in, and I was trapped, stuck for all eternity," Blade lowered his eyes at the table, seeing his own reflection, "The Waypth of Life healed me, but in return for destroying their home I was cursed with eternal life, and any who drinks my blood shall have it, at the cost of their own soul given to the one that they took it from. After years of regaining my strength, I returned only to see the Nightmare Moon, and Celestia imprisioning her. I had nowhere else to go, so I started up the forge, swiftly building a shack as the first part of it. I was then just a regular pony after that, most thinking that I was a grandfather, a father, or something else."

 

"Yeah, she did.I heard her last words, trying to convince Luna I was dead and that the world would start to kill them due to the energy that is kept there. They could not stay, but they left my body..." BladeRunner remembered exactly what had happened, he knew who to trust now: nopony at all.
"From the point of the Forge, I had a hard time controlling my anger towards the princess herself, but as years passed I finally calmed, knowing the day will come to when I meet her once again, face to face." He was serious at this point, tensing up a little.

 

"I know that, I care not for Luna, I'm not concerned with her at all. One of these days, Celestia will go rogue just like Luna, and the princess of the night won't be able to stop her, so somepony has to," BladeRunner said, cooling down swiftly as he felt the hoof on his shoulder.

 

Blade sighed, giving a smile back and looking down at the mare, "Sure I can..." He stared into her eyes, but came back to reality and looked away towards the kitchen, hearing one beep, "Looks like the foods done, I will pull it out to cool off, I haven't had any dinner yet."

 

Blade didn't eat, he just set the food on the counter to allow it to cool off. He entered back in the main room and sat next to CL, taking another glass of wine and sipping it. He had not done this before, but he guessed he was doing a good job?
"So, about the celebration," Blade began, looking straight ahead, "Its in about four days, which after that its three days before Rutting. When the celebration is over get your rest and bring over whatever you need, because the season at least lasts for three months."

 

"Yeah, its no problem, just saving a mare from herself," Blade said, unsure of what he was saying by this point. Although he did have a point about what he did say, the females usually get so flushed and confused during rutting that they make the greatest decisions that could hold their own life down.

 

"Yeah," Blade replied, filling his glass and the mares glass to the top. This was different, but he enjoyed it none-the-less.

 

"So, what was it like for you growing up?" BladeRunner asked, drinking half of his wine.

 

"Mmm.." BladeRunner began to think, from the time he was found as a filly in the ashes of his own village, to the training he was put through, to the time his team fell apart, and to the time he started his new life. He shrugged, "Lets just say things were... shiny, in a dark way."

 

"If you want to stop drinking you can," Blade suggested, it'd be a wise decision, she was not fully drunk but the affects were kicking in, "Besides... never mind."
