(Well, my last post was when they were in the bunker and they now appear to be back in new canterlot. So I do not know. I honestly dont know what to do with Robin until the final battle)
(I would suggest just writing about what he did during the night, and maybe have him interact with one of the other characters.)
(I dont want to rush Robin, but I'll let him take his time with his post because i'm a nice person . We'll continue onwards if he has nothing to add, sorry for the inconvenience if i've caused any.)
Since the attack on the bunker Robin had been keeping to himself. Only focusing on the task at hand. He dint talk to his fellow heroes instead he only spoke down to the soldiers under his command. The Archers, The Crossbow stallions, Ballista and catapulter's. Though now he was not only one with the bow but one with a rapier. Ever since Cobra went M.I.A he kept training himself. Even applying to become a Nightingale which had only been held by Pegasi. Today was the day he had completed induction and the day he could finally release himslef of emotion. They may not of found the body but a memorial would take place and a new statue would be unvieled. He only hoped Cobra's old team would remember him as well as he did.
Crimson spent most of his time in the medical wards, healing any ponies who had managed to take an injury during training alongside another medical team. Most of these cases were small, only with the occasional numbness from the wooden training weapons hurting their enemies, rarely facing major threats such as a heart attack. He only spent his time as a doctor during the night, because he trained himself to surpass far beyond natural limits of another’s body during the day. Despite only serving as an occasional combat medic from time to time, he was still extremely powerful and could easily go hoof to hoof against threats against the Republic to as high of a level as the Phoenix Queen herself. Tonight, he would not serve ponies medical problems, rather letting a medical team fill his position. Because tonight would be the fight of his life, a fight against his former master against the ponies he had become friends with. As he equipped his black and red armour, stood at the courtyard ready to take down the beast that had become Celestia. Ocean stood in the courtyard in her signature dark blue armour with her daggers and throwing knifes at the ready. Her bright golden made tied back to prevent it from hindering the upcoming fight. As her husband soon joined her after walking down the courtyard, Midnight appeared out of nowhere in his own royal armour. He wore a jewel encrusted circlet around his head, but the married couple quickly found out that Midnight had no weapons. Instead, Midnight used his magic and incredibly powerful physical abilities alongside the mastery of several martial arts to take down anypony foolish enough to face him. The Eriborian and Summer Breeze were still in the palace, gathering the weaponry and armour before heading down.
Blackout and Cricket had joined the group shortly before dawn, after spending most of the night walking through the Changeling district. Though not as powerful as their comrades, they had decided to join in the final battle. Nightshade had made it clear to them that she had no intention of taking back her old post as Night Guard lieutenant, so Cricket was still Silver's second in command. She felt that she had an obligation to fight at his side. Blackout, of course, insisted on coming with her, arguing that she was stronger when he was around to feed on. Silver was not surprised that they were coming. The couple had proven themselves in battle on multiple occasions, and neither one was the type to sit back and watch as another pony fought in their stead.
Venquis walked down the list of stairs towards the courtyard with Summer. Summer was dressed in a Republic recolour of Solar Flare armor, a armor that she was experienced with that still provided her with the right amount of protection she needed, and carried her bow and arrow. The Eriborian however, wore his own Spell-Sword Armour with Moonsaber at it's side. As soon as a battle plan were to be raised, they were ready.
Silver looked at the group. "If everypony is here, I think perhaps we should make a plan. Our obvious first move will be to ground Celestia. She'll be dangerous in the sky, so we need to bring her to the ground quickly. Nightshade and Ocean are our fastest fliers. They should be the ones to clip her wings."
The entire group listened to Silvers plan. Ocean was the one to find herself taking to the skies and clipping the wings of the insane Alicorn. When she was younger, before she was resurrected by the queen, she remembered her being faster than the Alicorn. Now, after corruption had taken hold of her body, Celestia was likely quicker then she was once. And seeing how Celestia had knocked out Ocean in a single blow, yet alone catch up to her speed, gave Ocean doubts. But her mind remained positive. During the events of the past year, Ocean’s speed had possibly grown to a somewhat legendary status, able to outpace anything except a few of individuals with sheer speed alone without her agility. She stood ready to take down a beast. She was the most focused between her and her husband, but the two of them were still taking every word seriously
Silver continued. "Once she's on the ground, she'll still be dangerous. We need her confused and afraid, so she'll make mistakes. That's where Cricket and Blackout come in. Blackout's namesake spell is a cloud of pure darkness, that leaves those without the ability to see in the dark all but blind. Cricket's most formidable weapon is her voice. When she sings, she has the power to grant courage to her allies, and strike fear into the hearts of her foes. Without magic, Celestia will find herself alone in the dark, tormented by fear."
A slightly intangible copy of Obsidian listened in to the plan. Another copy surveyed the crater filling with water that would eventually become nothing but a reminder of an ancient war. Another copy stood in the middle of what used to be the Everfree forest. A last copy, this one invisible, stood near Celestia as she awaited her killers. The real Obsidian however stared up at the statue of him. "This has been... an interesting turn of events for me. I was just interested in learning about the Alicorn species... and now I serve the gods. Funny how life can change in a seconds notice." He shook his head and turned to face the location of the final battle. "This will not be as fun as some of my life has been in the past."
"We have no way of knowing how Celestia will react to being trapped, but we can safely assume that she will fight like a cornered animal. Her fear will make her careless, but also incredibly dangerous. Venquis, Obsidian, Midnight, and I will enter the cloud of darkness and fight her up close, while the rest of you stick to the outside make sure she doesn't escape. Robin, I need you just inside the cloud, out of Celestia's reach. Every clear shot you get, take it." Silver sighed. "This is battle against time. The longer it takes us to finish her, the greater the odds that she'll kill one of us, or find a way to escape."
Robin nodded agreeing to Silver's plan. His eyes were as sharp as they ever were. Though with the cloud of darkness it would be a really test. He would have to rely on more than plain eyesight to see him through perhaps some night vision/thermal vision spells would suffice.
Venquis and Midnight simply nodded before Crimson spoke. "I'll tend to injuries, it would give us much more of an advantage in combat." Crimson then thought about something negative, the possibility of Celestia figuring a way out. "Of course, the Phoenix Queen escaping would be a worse case scenario. The failure of this plan is even worse, and I'd prefer not to die. She on the other hoof...." Midnight remained silent, he could feel Plague swelling up inside of him. The Ardak Luvanius was up to something. Midnight knew that no matter what, Plague would make an appearance when facing his mother. To speak now would put the others in danger. If Plague took control, Midnight might never take his own body back. If Plague had found a way to manifest into a physical form, then Midnight hoped he was temporally on the Republic's side if he did leave Midnight's body. Seeing how Plague was already dozens of times stronger than Celestia during the Eve of the Final Eclipse, it would be terrifying to know what would happen if Plague became corrupted like Celestia. The sheer power increase would put the gods themselves in fear. If Corruption actually took hold of Plague, it would signify the beginning of the end. And the cycle that Celestia had once undertook would begin again. (Hinted a possible future RP in this post.)
(For this RP at least, Silver has a solution to the Dark Plague problem. It's probably obvious at this point, but in case it isn't, no spoilers.) Silver grinned. "We all know what needs to be done. All that remains now... is to go and do it." Nightshade laughed. "Let's get going! Maybe Crim will sing us a song while we travel! Or is that not something that he does here?" Holly woke up from her nap, yawned, and trotted over to Silver's side. Hemlock, who had been sleeping beside her, quietly walked over to Nightshade. Blackout and Cricket said nothing, but picked up their weapons and headed for the city gate.
"If he's going to sing, then you have to show off some martial arts." Robin said jokingly to Nightshade giving a sly knowing wink to her. As they both met and headed towards the gate of the city. He inspected the slightly modified bow now with 3 crystal slots instead of the one.
Nightshade laughed, and Silver glared at the two of them in annoyance.. "Honestly, can we please focus on one universe at a time? We have an Alicorn to kill!" Arriving at the gate, he greeted Cricket and Blackout, and waited for the others to catch up.
The others began to catch up as they made their way towards the city gate. The Eriborian was reciting several religious text's under a barely audible voice, the remainder looked ready to end Celestia and finally bring about a new era. Midnight walked with the group, Plague trying to push his control onto him. While he was hiding it from the group, Plague and Midnight were speaking to each-other in his subconscious. Plague kept trying to prove his point, knowing that he was going to assume control on Midnight regardless of any intervention. He would never be a memory in the eyes of those who survived Plague's genocide's that almost wiped out an nation, twice. Once Midnight explained that he would like to be alone, he spoke to Silver. "Plague is going to take control of me during the battle. I wont be able to stop him. Kill me if i lose control entirely or if he ever threatens anypony again."
