"Jack, I have the ears of a bat, and you're hiding ten feet away from me. I can hear you." Silver slapped his hoof to face in annoyance. "Honestly, this is just pathetic." He sighed. "Moving on... Tricorna is right. Now is not the time for extended reunions. I need to report in to the princess, and I have a feeling she is NOT going to be happy." He turned to Tricorna. "Everypony will most likely be in the vicinity of the castle. If it's Razona that you seek, he's probably at the Ryborian Embassy."
With the parties taking place amongst the city, some of those who had fought against the Phoenix Queen still had some business to take care of. Crimson quit acting as a full-time doctor at the Canterlot Hospital, and returned to become an Agent, whom the former Queen of Equestria once dubbed "Archangels" once more, but under the leadership of Princess Candace instead of Celestia. Crimson, now acting as an Archangel, was outside the city mopping up with any resistance to the NM and Candace's new control over the homeland, but encountered nothing serious. With Ocean and Summer inside the city partying, Midnight trained constantly to face off against the abomination that is Plague. By himself, he was nowhere near Plague's power, especially after what he did to Celestia, tossing a God around like a rag-doll. Since he returned, he usually spent time to himself training with physical copies of himself, sending a dozen at a time to attack. Meanwhile, Venquis was putting the finishing touches of the Ryborian Embassy. It had previously been ransacked by Celestia, replacing the embassy with a hotel. With the hotel being abandoned, the three story building received a new paintjob, interior design and an office for some Ryborian sectaries. It was made with a much more comfortable atmosphere then the hotel it was formerly, but despite it's former history, it was still a nice place to be in. The Eriborian stood at the desk standing infront of a young Ryborian mare, who looked like she had just passed her maturity stage, dressed in a light blue dress and a curly brunette mane. "Everything set, Alxia? The presentational fireplace seems to be the main feature in the lounge. The bedrooms have received a five star makeover and there is nothing apparently out of order. Just let me know if you have any problems?" "Yes, my Eriborian." The Young mare replied with a warm smile. Venquis smiled as he looked at the fireplace. "I'll be heading back to Ardelan soon, still need to fix up preparations for the building. I'll head upstairs if you need me." The young mare nodded as looked down and filed some documents into order as she could see the Eriborian walk upstairs out the corner of her eye.
Robin approached Ocean and summer dressed in formal attire He then proceeded to pull 3 glasses of champagne from a nearby waiter from a close by restaurant who was serving free drinks. "Ladies" he proceeded to hand the others a glass each. Trying to act suave in front of summer. A skill he lost with the death of his first wife... 100 years ago.
“Ah. Robin, good to see you could have made it here after all the commotion that is taking place around the city.” Ocean said cheerfully while taking the drinks for Robin and Summer. “Thank you for the drinks, haven’t had champagne until a few days before my death. You know how that turned out...”
After leaving Nightshade to introduce her newly revived mother to everyone, Silver headed for the castle. The look on the Dark Princess' face when she saw Silver walk into the throne room sent most of the ponies within fleeing for the door. The few brave enough to stay followed the others quickly when the princess whispered, in an icy voice, "Leave us." Nightmare Moon glared at Silver with a look of pure rage. "You dare show your face here again?! It took all that I had give the order to end my sister's life, and I did so ONLY because I believed that no pony should possess that kind of power! The power which you then stole for yourself! OF ALL THE ARROGANT, SELFISH..." Silver sat calmly as her furious shouting shook the walls. He caught himself wondering for a moment why she had bothered to send the other ponies out. Anypony within a quarter mile of the castle could hear everything she was yelling. She would finish eventually, and until she did, he would wait patiently for the chance to explain himself.
Meanwhile Venquis heard some muffled yelling from the top of the embassy. While not the furthest building from the castle, it would still within walking distance. He heard the Princess, while very muffled due to the soundproof walls, speak furious word. As he was listening, another sharply dressed Ryborian stood next to him. "I take it that Silver Crescent has returned?" Venquis spoke. The guard replied with a small nod. The Eriborian looked out the window towards the palace. The other Ryborian then whispered something to his ear, something clearly not meant for a civilians ears. Venquis then chuckled slightly upon the end of the message. "I would not be surprised. The bounty she was going to place on him was enough to purchase a small country." Venquis replied. "Very well, just report downstairs and put up some of the portraits. Maybe fix up the chapel, don't want to insult the gods with a mediocre prayer room."
After nearly an hour of being called every foul name known to ponykind, Silver had finally had enough. When the princess paused to take a breath, Silver interrupted her. "Dark Princess... with all due respect... now would be a good time for you to shut your damn mouth and listen." Nightmare Moon's eyes widened in shock. Silver had never dared speak to her so rudely. She wanted to berate him, but she was too shocked to even speak. "When you first attempted to take the throne, twelve hundred years ago, I swore an oath to see you as ruler of Equestria. From the moment when you first sat on that throne, after the Republic took back Canterlot, my oath was fulfilled. I owe you no explanation for my actions, because I am no longer bound to serve you." The princess, still furious, glowered at Silver. "If that is the case, why have you returned?" Silver sighed. "Because I am your friend, Luna. Even more than that, I am an Equestrian. I took this power because I needed it, not only to save my family, but for the battle ahead. A great evil has revealed itself..." Silver spent the next thirty minutes telling the Princess all that had taken place since he disappeared from the battlefield. He told her of traveling twelve hundred years into the past, to the night that Celestia's army burned his home and killed his wife and young daughter. He told her how he entered the blazing house, to find the newborn Nightshade under the charred corpse of Winter Night. He told her how he attempted to return with the foal to his own timeline, only to lose her during the jump. The question had had haunted him for twenty years, how it was that his long-dead daughter had suddenly appeared on the spot where his home had once stood. He now had the answer. She had simply missed the destination. The princess, still angry, but slightly calmer by this point, interrupted him. "This is all very fascinating, but you still have not explained why you have returned, or what this 'great evil' you spoke of is." "I'm getting to that, princess." He continued his story, telling the princess about recovering Tricorna, and what the mysterious figure had said. He finished by telling her of his return to Canterlot, and of Winter Night's resurrection. After another hour, Silver walked out of the throne room to find Holly waiting for him. "Hey, old girl. Seems to me we should go tell Nightshade the good news. She's the new Captain of the Night Guards! I'm just a regular old civilian, now."
Tricorna and Obsidian walked into the Ryborian embassy. The nature of their powers had removed any need for them to get to know each other. Obsidian approached Alxia and smiled. "Hello. Me and my sister would like to have a word with Venquis. Is he in?" Tricorna stood behind him and shivered slightly, nervous for obvious reasons.
Alxia looked upwards to see Obsidian and Tricorna, and smiled warmly. The two also happened to be the first visitors to the brand new embassy. "Why yes. The Eriborian is just upstairs preparing to return back to Ardelan. He was due to leave within the next ten minutes, so it looks like you both have good timing. Please feel free to enter."
"Thank you, ma'am." Obsidian bowed, and started upstairs, followed closely by Tricorna. They passed the guard going down and entered the room. "Venquis. I heard you're leaving shortly. I plan to as well, but first I wanted to make sure my close friend here said some things to you." Tricorna came out from behind him and took a deep breath.
"Tricorna!" The Eriborian cried out, absolutely shocked about the doe's appearance. He then tried to get something out, but only managed to stutter. "How di-, Wha, But J-" The Eriborian then stopped attempting to speak and pointing back and forth, and took a deep breath. "Well...I knew that I would see you again." He said with the biggest smile on his face.
Silver found Nightshade and Winter Night at the tavern closest to the castle. He was greeted by his wife with a furious slap. "Nightshade has been getting me caught up on what's happened since I've been away. I CAN NOT BELIEVE YOU KILLED OUR DAUGHTER!!! ARE YOU BUCKING INSANE?!" Silver watched as Night stormed out, and sighed. She would calm down eventually. She always did. He turned to Nightshade. "I have news..." She interrupted him. "I know already. You got fired, and the Princess gave me your job. It was only, like, half a page ago."
Tricorna just smiled back at him. Obsidian nodded at Venquis before turning to leave. "Be careful with Silver, my friend. He is far more than he ever was before... and that makes him a threat. Now, I'm off. Have fun you two." He left the room without waiting for a response. "Y-yes... I'm sure you've been through much since I left... but we still have a lot left to go, right? Together?"
Venquis then went over and hugged the doe, emotions running through his head. "Together. I've been thinking..." Venquis began. "I was going to originally return to Ardelan in my lonesome, but now I'm thinking you might like to come along. However, not as a friend of the kingdom. As some-pony much more special." (I was considering Ven to propose to Tricorna, but I thought about what Obsidian would think and Tricorna's possible refusal and so forth. Not to mention, they've only been dating for what...a week? So it would have been far too early anyway.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Plague, now experiencing his newfound freedom was busy creating his master plan to ensure his future as king. Not long after he left Midnight, changes began to occur. The biggest of them being the removal of his horn, which seemingly fell of his head and vanished from existence. The second of them being that Plague walks on his hind legs after finding it unnatural and painful to walk on all four legs anymore. He was well out of the view of the Gods, at least the Elders anyway. His first plan was to travel to Tartarus anyway. Plague looked upon the world map, and two extra large maps the size of a large wall adoring his secret headquarters detailing the two other kingdoms, the Elder Kingdom (Where the “Good” gods reside) and the Dominion of Tartarus (Polar opposite of the Elder Kingdom). He looked specifically at the map of Tartarus and laughed to himself. He then looked at a fragment of his mothers corruption, the very essence of Celestia’s downfall. He then opened his arms wide as he felt an astronomical power surge as an evil sadistic smile came across his face, alongside his eyes widening. Plague laughed manically. He not only corrupted himself, but gave him the power to perform the impossible. At long last, he is going to be King of the three kingdoms. (This will end Plague’s story arc for this RP)
(Considering Venquis is... like... easily 1000 years old and still young? Was that it? Regardless, he's been around for a while, and I'd think he knows being patient is a good thing when it comes to "this stuff," so yea...) "I'd be honored..." She bowed slightly and hugged him back. Obsidian exited the building and immediately took off running. He vanished behind a building where he was greeted by Jack. "He has been warned. Let's just hope we are wrong about the dark one's plan." Jack nodded and opened a small green portal, which both of them quickly dissipated into.
Robin approached the Canterlot cemetery for what would be the first of many times. He approached a grave and knelt before it, placing an old blade before it. The blade was the graves owners, A blue Pegasus who served in the first stages as his predecessor. A rapier given to Robin as a memory though it was a memory he could not linger with. He finally stood up and raised his hoof saluting his fallen friend who was still missing in action. He then spoke in the Nightingale's tongue before moving towards a grave that was much more personal and distressing for him. What he spoke was "Resiset ni harmino, Cobrin harth (Rest in Harmony, CobraHeart)". The next grave he simply placed down a bunch of flowers. Before collapsing onto his knees, tears streaming down his face. He died before her and so only assumed she died a peaceful death. What was written in stone made him even more saddened: "A life of luxury she lived, till deaths firm hand took her husband away. Forever remembered as the Duchess beggar." His wife spent 10 years on the street because of him after his death at 45 he only hoped she was treated better than the poor he defended before the final eclipse. Though deep down he knew it was Canterlot's upper class district a place where the poor were ridiculed on a daily basis. (Thus ends the tale of Robin Hoof so far. An emotional end for him.)
(Exactly. He's 557 years old btw, So technically, he would have the physical form of a 23 year old. 2000 year olds have the physical form of a 50 year old, so Dovian was this. And those nearing the end of their lives, 3900 year olds have the physical form of a 95 year old, although some can look younger. I'm considering wrapping this up soon, but we should just eliminate lose ends first.) Venquis then held hooves with Tricorna as they then left the embassy. "Come on. Let's go see the world."
"Rather an anticlimactic ending, isn't it?" Nightshade looked around, mildly disappointed. The Phoenix Queen was dead. Midnight Dawn was free of Dark Plague. He would eventually return, of course, but he was no real threat. She sighed, and spoke quietly. "Suddenly, a dozen Juggernauts appeared, surrounding her." Suddenly, a dozen Juggernauts appeared, surrounding her. "That's better. Time for some fun!" Picking up her spear, Nightshade flew at the nearest foe. Within minutes, the Juggernauts were all dead. Nightshade grinned and, with a wave of her hoof, caused the bodies to disappear. "That WAS fun. Maybe next time, I try a hundred! And one more thing..." She laughed. "...With her true power revealed, Nightshade's role in this story comes to an end." (With her true power revealed, Nightshade's role in this story comes to an end.)
(Welp. Nightshade and Silver are both practically gods, Tricorna is dating Venquis, Most of my OC's have no real relevance towards the rest of the RP, just as filler that would not be necessary. Amazing what you can accomplish in a couple dozen pages.) (One more post then end?)
