"So, what are you guys expecting in this forest? Personally, I'm expect lots of new animals!" Swipes said, as she trotted along, as if her heavy pack didn't bother her at all.
"I've been into the forest a few times. There are many strange creatures in there, and most of them are dangerous. It would be... unwise... to settle in the forest itself." Nova sighed. She couldn't tell if the young mare was foolish, or just enthusiastic.
"What kind of creatures? The most fearsome creature I've ever seen was a dragon, what could be worse!"
"I dunno. Maybe an... Hmmm. Hydra? Oh! Or maybe an hydragon! I should write that one down." She takes out a small note pad and jots down, 'Hydragon.'
Nova grinned slightly. "Vicious Timber-Wolves. Cragadiles big enough to swallow a stallion whole. Poison-tailed Manticores, deadly Hydras, Cockatrices that can turn a pony to stone with a glance... and of course, the Ursa Majors. Imagine the biggest bear you've ever seen... now imagine it a hundred times bigger. A full grown Ursa dwarfs even the largest of Dragons."
Upon hearing Nova, Swipes' face instantly got an serious look. "S-so, you're saying... Excercise caution?"
Amber mumbled when apart of the roof had gave way, revealing a huge hole in the ceiling. The fireplace was very unreliable, and the home she had lived in since her fiillyhood was close to falling apart. She needed to move, set up shop somewhere else...but where?
( Crimson Lionheart - The RP is set five years after the discovery of Equestria. A character in her twenties would have spent her fillyhood in the old country.) Nova nodded. "Extreme caution." The farm came into view, with Static waiting near the door. Nova nodded to him, and he knocked.
Dark sighed, as he began to move on without the group. He was impatient right at the moment, he needed to get his sister to a safer place and not out in the open.
"That is unwise." Nova called to Dark as he walked away. "This area is dangerous at night. You might be able to protect yourself, but can you protect her at the same time?" She pointed to the cottage in the distance. "Besides... the farm is right over there."
Armoured Steel, walked up to the cottage door. "Well, no use just standing around." He then proceeded to knock on the door. - - Auto Merge - - "Hello? Anyone home?"
"Seriously, you insist on taking the planning table. You could easily leave it out here and start planning that sawmill tomorrow." Shielded looked at Paragon who dragged his planning table to the front door. "Trust me the faster I've got it all planned and designed the faster we can build it. I was thinking of a combined style for our town. A mix of Gothic unicorn, rustic Earth and grand Pegasus." Paragon replied as he looked into the distance like he was looking at the future of the settlement but Shielded simply sighed and tried to look through the window.
Dark heard the ideas of the town, "Hm, that seems like a cool idea, but I would suggest building a house or a cottage first."
"I got plenty of tents for all of us, that is, if you don't mind sleeping in the rain!" Swipes said, as she looked to the sky, and saw dark clouds forming.
After a few minutes of knocking, Nova sighed. "I don't think she's coming... I hope nothing happened to her." Glancing around, she pointed to a large barn nearby. "We can spend the night in there, I suppose. Once we're inside and safe, we can start making plans."
"A barn, really? Gah! Well considering they won't open the door I guess it's our only choice." - - Auto Merge - - Steel looked around "Ya know, we could break into the cottage. They would understand, we were helpless," whispered Steel to Nova.
(Crim is leaving the RP for personal reasons. He will, of course, be welcome to rejoin if he chooses to.) Static picked up a small piece of paper off the ground. "This must have fallen off the door. Let's see... 'I apologize for not being here to greet you. I was called away quite suddenly on a personal matter, and I am unsure when or if I will be back. The key is under the flowerpot. Feel free to stay as long as you need to. The cottage needs a lot of repairs, but it should be okay for a few nights.' It appears that there is nopony home."
