(OOC: The amount if sighing in this conversation is too darn high!) Steel grumbled a little bit. "Alright it's up to you then Nova, what do you wanna do with these eggs?"
Nova looked at the eggs thoughtfully. "Well... to be perfectly honest, I'm leaning towards making the sale. Setting up a mine is expensive, and Faust knows that Static needs new tools..." Shaking her head, she continued. "I don't think I'll be doing the right thing this time. ... Let's get these eggs back to the farm. If it will make you more comfortable, I'll have the buyer pick them up personally. You can ask him what he wants them for yourself."
Jeremiah nodded, and then proceeded to put the eggs in a large basket that he carried, and followed the others back to the farm. He had actually gotten attached to the place, and it certainly reminded him of his home long ago. He was hoping to maybe settle there, and he certainly liked the others, even though maybe they didn't like him back. He was a bit seasoned, and knew that they might grow to learn what really counted; It's only on the inside is what mattered. Anypony with a big enough heart was certainly welcomed by him, and he certainly was willing to take care of these folk. Too long had he worked for the dead. Now it was time to reach the light at the end of the tunnel...
Noting what Swipes eat, "Sounds great." Blitz didn't really care much, nor did he like walking with others. He was picky about his company this was just too… he didn't know. 'She's too cute- NO, NO, she's too bubbly! Why in the hey am I thinking about that? Why the hey do I care???" There was slight hint of red on his cheeks, maybe Swipes wasn't all that bad, to Dark she seemed annoying, but had another emotion towards her for some odd reason.
"The settlement is up ahead, it's been nice chatting with you!" Swipes said, before she trotted off to plant the pears she picked.
"Alright then," Steel said attempting to hold in his joy, "we can use that money to really help our town but now let's get back to the camp, I don't want to be here she the parents get back."
It was late afternoon when the three ponies made it back to the farm. After storing the eggs in the barn, Nova found Static playing with Silver and the Timber-Wolf puppy in the cornfield. Static grinned when he saw his mate, and glanced at her saddlebag expectantly. She laughed, and tossed him the Cragadile egg that she had hidden in her bag earlier, which he promptly devoured. When he was finished, he sat down beside her and yawned. "I swear, Silver gets wilder every day. Right after you left, I caught him and Holly... he named the pup, by the way... on the roof of the barn. I'm not entirely sure how they managed to get up there." A trio of tired-looking Earth Ponies approached the farm, arguing loudly. The youngest, Violet, was pulling a heavy cart filled with potted plants, and was trying to convince the other two to stop for a rest. "Come on, Dad! I just need five minutes! My hooves feel like they're about to fall off!" Her older sister, Virago, scoffed. "What a surprise! The laziest pony in Equestria is tired! We've been walking just as long as you have, and neither one of us is complaining!" "Of course you're not tired! All you have to carry is your saddlebag!" "It's not my fault you had to bring your stupid weeds with you! "There not weeds! They're medicinal plants! You'll be happy I brought them when..." Their father, Granite, decided that he'd been listening to his daughters bickering for long enough. His back already hurt from pulling an overloaded cart all day, and now he was getting a headache on top of it. "ENOUGH!!! We're all tired, and we're all stressed, but at least we're together! You're sisters! Act like it!" Violet and Virago immediately stopped arguing. Their father almost never raised his voice, but when he did, they both knew enough to listen. Granite smiled. "Thank you. We're almost to Amber Fritter's farm. We can all rest there."
Jeremiah went over to Nova. "There's some newcomers. Appears to be a family; two girls and a father. Thought you should know." The large pony trudged back inside and plopped down in his coffin, blowing his grey hair out of his face, his ragged hat flapping somewhat as well.
As Swipes was planting the pears, she noticed the newcomers. "Hey there! I'm Swipes, nice to meet you!" She said with a grin, before getting back to work on the pears.
As the newcomers approached, Steel kept his distance. He was already a little uncomfortable with the group as it is, he would eventually try to become friends with these ponies but for now he was just getting used to the situation still. He decided to lay on the floor tonight for sleep as aposed to the chair which ruined his back the night previous.
Blitz caught with his sister, who seemed to be drawing a house in a tree of some sort. He looked it over, it was pretty legit, "So ummm… what is this thing suppose to be?" She turned to Blitz, "Its called a treehouse, I want a personal house for tea parties and-" "Well that sounds great, but this is going to be one of those "Lat to do" type things."
As though guided by a force that was too lazy to type up a long post, Granite, Violet, and Virago introduced themselves to everypony and set up their tents near the barn.
The giant grew to notice a chill in the air. "I'm going out for firewood. Anypony want anything while I'm off?" Deep in his mind, he was worried. Not for anypony he had really met yet, but rather because of the fact that the person who owned the place was gone for a while. Too long. He had wished to meet this person not too long after he had gotten here. Though there were some new friends in his life, he found himself rather lonely, rather empty, feeling as if something was missing, a hole in his life. He could only ponder worrisomely on this...
When Virago heard Scarecrow mention going for firewood, she decided to join him. The nearest trees were in the Everfree, and she wanted to see the infamous forest for herself. After finding an old cart and axe in the barn, she caught up with him as he was leaving. "If you're going to get enough firewood to last more than a few days, you'll need help. I'm coming with you."
Steel fell asleep on the floor. (OOC: My character will stay asleep until the next morning or till awoken by another character)
Dark Blitz walked around, seeing what could be built. He knew a water tower was needed (Which was probably planned out already), but what about a greenhouse and gardens? Those could be built in the process, he was thinking about which location he would build his, that would have to come afterwards.
The large pony sighed, and after equipping himself with a red wagon he had while he was a colt and his large, double-bladed axe, he looked down at the girl. "You sure you want to do this? I think that what might happen is the opposite of what you think. I am well acquainted with woods like these. I can usually handle myself."
Virago laughed. "Am I sure? I've been wanting to see the Everfree Forest for the last four years! Besides, the Dragon told me that none of us are supposed to go into the forest alone. So... yeah... I'm going with you."
The big man chuckled. He decided that he could very much well show the young one around and protect her from the dangers of the forest at the same time. But before he went into the forest, the giant went over to Nova. "Hey, I'm getting a bit worried. Where is Apple Fritter supposed to be? I know about her, but I haven't seen her.
Virago looked at the giant pony curiously. "Nopony told you? Amber Fritter was called away from the farm on a personal matter. I heard Nova telling my dad about it not long after we got here. Apparently, they don't know when, or even if, she's coming back." She shrugged. "No skin off my back either way. I'd didn't know her. C'mon. Let's get to the forest." Nova stood beside her draconic mate, watching Silver Crescent play with Holly. She had to admit, the Timberwolf pup seemed different from the packs that roamed the Everfree. The creature had not made any attempt to run away, nor had it acted aggressively towards anypony. Whenever Silver spoke to her, Holly seemed to understand every word that he said. Nova was still not happy about the situation, but, she reminded herself, she had nothing to worry about. Holly was a wild animal. She'd wander off in a week or two, tops.
