    Here is Chapter 1:

The Everfree invoked me to walk in. I stared at the forest quietly, until my hooves urged me forward. I took careful steps, for my brothers', Dusks', traps were set all over to protect his work. I used my magic to illuminate her path, which made the trees nearby glow faintly from my magic. As I walked forward, my hooves sunk into the dirt silently. I stopped in front of an Oak Tree, and knocked a special code. The gears made a sort of squeaky noise, and the base of the tree opened. My mane flowed silently in the wind, and I walked into the tree. The walls moved, opening slots for scarves or coats. "Dusk!" I said, careful not to be to loud in case he was focusing.
"Down here Dawn!" He yelled back, and I galloped down the stairs. I looked around as I reached the bottom, and noticed the familiar blinking lights, and robotics. I smiled at the surroundings, then towards my alicorn brother, Dusk. I ran toward the light blue alicorn, smiling. I hugged him tightly.
"Brother! I missed you so much." I smiled.
"Come on Sis, its only been a few days." He laughed.
"More like a few months for me!" I giggled, and let go of my brother. He scratched my head, and smiled. "What did you call me here for brother?" I asked as my light blue mane and tail sparkled.
"Well, I've been experimenting. You know how you didn't become an alicorn from alicorn parents?"
    "Yea."
He walked over to a table, and pulled a black necklace with a red ruby and a alicorn on it from the table. "I made you this. The pony who wears this becomes an alicorn. Hence why I call it..."
    "The Alicorn Amulet."
I stared at my brother in disbelief. Had he really made something that would make me an alicorn? "D-Does it work?" I asked as I reached for the amulet.
"Yes it does Dawn. It'll only work with our family, because it has our mothers' blood infused with the crystal." He smiled, and snaps the amulet around my neck. "It looks beautiful on you sister."
"Thank you, Dusk." I smiled, and gave my brother a large hug. A sharp pain in my back broke this loving moment. I pulled away from my brother, and fell. My back hurt, and I tried to look at it, but it was too painful. I could feel the bones coming out of my back, coming out of the flesh, and the fur. Feathers, fur, and skin grew onto these bones, and my wings were tiny, but that was because I was merely a filly. I know have wings! I was finally an alicorn! I mean, yeah, their tiny wings, but they will grow with me. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I screamed with delight.
"Your welcome Dawn." He kissed my forehead, and walked over to a big room. "Want me to teach you how to fly?" He asked me. I nodded wildly, and ran into the room. He taught me for a few hours, and then an alarm went off. "Time to get back for dinner Dawn."
"Thank you again brother. I know I have to go, but I'll be back when I can!" I smiled, then walked to the stairs. "I love you Dusk."
    "I love you too, Dawn."
I grabbed my scarf and walked out the door, flapping my wings happily. The full moon lurked from its hiding place behind the clouds, and shone bright on myface. "Like my new wings Mom?" I smiled.
"Of course I do baby!" Her face appeared on the moon. She smiled, and I smiled back at her excitedly. "Now scurry on home. Dinner is ready."
"Yes mom!" I say, then take off into the sky, flying fast towards the house. I walked into the castle. "I'm home!" I smiled, and my dad sat on the floor, and I ran into his waiting hooves, giggling. "Daddy! Your home!" I squealed happily. He laughed, and kissed my forehead.
"And I'm here to stay." He smiled, and I gasped, tears coming to my eyes.
"No more leaving?" I smiled through my tears. My dad was Prince Blood Moon, and had to work, a LOT. I rarely saw him, and he usually came home when I was in bed.
"No more leaving." He had started to tear up himself. He cried joyful tears, and he hugged me tightly. My mom came and sat with us, tears coming out of her eyes as well.
"I love you both so much." I smiled.
"We love you too." They smiled in unison. My mother nodded to my father. and they looked at me. "We have a surprise for you Dawn."
"Your going to be a big sister!" They smiled.
