Brave "You know" Brave's voice sounded strange. There was something amiss with him. "Maybe Facade's going to play a huge throw over to the end. Maybe he'll help win all of this *yay*" He leaned across the table, then he fell on it. After staying there for some few seconds, he got up then sat accordingly. Brave "Maybe we can win all of this." The air reeked of something. Alcohol. Brave Cape was drunk as ever. ((I beg of you, PLEASE SLOW DOWN D)
Fire walked out of the room to blow off some steam. The resistance soldiers watched in shock as Fire walked down the hall with his tail and mane on fire, he muttered insults aimed at Facade as he walked.
Arcane ignored firebreeze's little rampage he had. He was still obsessing over having a magic horn. He had no idea how to use it but still liked having it. He realized he would have to start focusing on the task at hand. He went outside and carved a healing rune successfully this time and carried it with him, following firebreeze. Since firebreeze wasn't to happy he decided to use it on him while he wasn't looking, hoping the slight relief of pain would allow him to calm down. He threw it onto his leg and quickly activated it. Arcane then ran for cover expecting firebreeze to blow up in fury. but at least the rune would do something.
Fire felt something hit his leg, he turned around and yelled, "what was that!?" He soon realized something different, his leg didn't hurt. His mane and tail turned back to normal, he sighed, "whatever it was... it helped..."
Arcane, proud of his work with the rune, went back into the room to get a drink of cider. It had been a long day and he really wanted to relax. Tomorrow he would see if he could use his new horn.
Dark tossed and turned in her sleep that night. Old memories of the 'bad times' haunted her dreams. Suddenly, a black tentacle of magic crept up the side of her bed, and Dark started mumbling in her sleep. "No, no, never again." was the usual mumblings as the tentacle danced around her bed. This process had repeated itself every night Dark went to sleep alone, but this time something new happened. A white magic tentacle lowered from the ceiling and then fought each other, in the end, the white tentacle managed to win out and force the black tentacle away. The white tentacle then formed into the ghostly shape of a white pony and sat next to Dark, watching her, ever vigilant
Arcane stayed up all night drinking cider. Whenever he fell asleep his head would throb violently, and he could see the guard he let live. The horn knew he was still alive and so did Arcane. "Because he is still alive i can never get rid of this head pain. I dont know how to get rid of the horn either." He thought. Arcane paced around the room thinking then sighed. "I know what i have to do." He said. "To dangerous to go alone though." He went over to Dark and woke him up. "Dark I need some help." Arcane said. He then awaited a response.
The Commander poured over a map, thinking were to send troops next to help quell any idea of revolt. She then saw a part of the map that no troops had ever been sent, the ruins of Canterlot. The Commander rubbed her chin, and then moved several peices that represented units onto the spot.
Facade walked over to The Commander and examined the map below her. "Hmmm...Any reason you are sending experienced troops into a place we've cleared out a long time ago? The Resistance would never take into Old Canterlot. Not a great a place to defend at all. They would be slaughtered." He leaned over and pushed the pieces she had just moved into garrisons surronding Ponyville and the nearby Cloudsdale. "I've heard that Cloudsdale is contemplating revolution. Placing troops there will remind them of our power. And Ponyville...Well you know there history." Facade said with a nod and a smile. "Trust me. I know what I'm doing."
"Yes yes." she said, moving some pegisi units to Cloudsdale. "You know what, let's teach them the full power of our might." and then she moved some peices not even Facade could reconize. " I'm going to keep a few units in Old Canterlot because something tells me there is something there.." and she contiued to look at the map, shifting units to and for.
Firebreeze suddenly woke up from a nightmare and noticed it was the middle of the night. He sighed and got out of bed and walked to his desk. He didn't use it often, as it was meant for planning operations and missions, which wasn't really his job. He often wrote letters to his other friends in ponyville that he hadn't seen for a long time, knowing very well they wouldn't ever receive them. He thought back and smiled at the thought of living his old, simple life again. He decided to go outside and look at the night sky."
Star Dancer had been following the tracks for hours now, her legs were growing weaker and it was dark, but she didn't have enough focus or energy to make a ball of light. After walking such a long distance she finally came across the ruins of a building. Star Dancer trotted up to the building and began to move bits of wall and debris. Finally she uncovered something to identify the old building, and jumped back when she saw that this had been a secret police building. She was in old enemy territory. She crouched low once more and looked at her surroundings. She didn't see anypony around so she slowly backed away from the crumbled building. She realized she was lost, so she open her star map and tried to locate where the secondary base was. After a long, frustrating argument with herself on where it was at, she finally regained her sense of direction and headed off quietly toward the secondary base, checking around occasionally to make sure no secret police were following her.
Arcane wasn't getting much of a response from dark. He was pretty sure he had seen firebreeze walk out not to long ago. Arcane went to go ask firebreeze to accompany him on the search for the guard then awaited his response.
(Alright, I'm going to fast forward about a year into the future. By now, the Secret Police and the Resistance are at equal strength and this is the critical point in the world. By now, solid lines have been drawn, with entire cities being with the Resistance or held by the Police. Sadly, Ponyville has remained out of reach from the Resistance dispite several attempts to capture it, due to Ponyville's central location and being near major supply routes, it has become a critical target. Oh, and Arcane, you are not an alicorn any more, sorry.) Dark looked at the army assembled before her, it numbered in the thousands of ponies, it was also the largest Resistance force ever assembled for one attack, the attack on the Police stronghold of Ponyville. All the leaders of the Resistance were in the army, directing their own parts. Dark looked the hill they would have to take in order to clear a path to Ponyville. It had already beated back every other previous attack on Ponyville, but this time, they had numbers on their side. Dark looked up into the sky and said to herself, "Snow, watch over us today." in membrance of her old friend that died, one year ago on this day. "Alright men! Move out!" she yelled to the army, and they advanced on the hill
Firebreeze put on his helmet and tightened its grip on his chin. He put the tinted visit down and gave a smirk as he prepared to fight, with his flamethrower clanking against his armor
They got within range of the hill's artillery, and almost instantly came under fire. "Come on! Double time! Take the hill!" Dark yelled, and the army moved all the faster against the hill, but the closer they got, the deadlier and more accurate the fire got. Dark managed to get a small squad to be first into the first round of trenches, secureing the breach for even more troops to flood in. (Oh, and the trenches are zig-zagged so there's no firing down the line. These are basically WW I trenches with modern technology.)
"Damn it! Why didn't we cover though Trenches!" Facade cut off his soldier before he could even make a sound. "Never mind! I want the Artillary firing on the Ponies going down the men! Don't even try to fire on the trenches! I want barbed wire up as close as you can get it and try and make some machine gun nest! And get some damn Pegasus to bomb the trenches damn it!" The soldier saluted and ran out yelling his orders. Once he was alone Facade leaned back into his chair and sighed with relief. "Took those idiots long enough to get here...Heh. Wonder if they are gonna win the town." He laughed loudly and went outside the tent to examine what was happening during the battle.
Firebreeze jumped down into the trench, hardly dodging death from an explosion. "Ok, we're in a trench," he yelled over the gun fire to Dark, "Now what? I think we have a Rough Rider squad somewhere in here!"
Edge was in a trench the artillery had been pounding his troops his troops and him had been creating artillery and anti-armor transport he brought up his mic and yelled "Artillery! Fire at the main army and artillery and get the anti-armor transport! We need them in the front lines!" the artillery started to fire bombing into the secret police and their artillery exploding the transport quickly rushed in the transport's door opened and hundreds of ponies exited the transports quickly firing at the Secret police.
