"Was hoping you be there." /She brought the sword up, towards the lizard's neck. (she's like 4 ft tall don't forget mr "onto her back.") edit - (sticking with narrowleaf's since he posted first.)
/Paladin watched as Tristana was occupied with the reptile on her. He took that opportunity to charge some kind of energy into his hand./ "Lightning Cannon!" /A ball of lightning shot out from Paladin's hand, and as it came into contact with his two opponents, it exploded./
/Tristana pulled herself off the now part-wall lizard and shook her head. She looked down at a few cannonball that had been knocked out. She stomped on one, thanking everything for her explosion proof armor. They all exploded as a result, launching her over Paladin, and decimating the lizard.
/The reptile hit the ground. He sat there for a moment, holding a scaly hand against his throat. "You... Pathetic... Humansss..." /It hissed as it got up. A green foam began to ooze from it's leathery lips.
/Paladin watched the two, a slight scowl on his face knowing that his Lightning Cannon did very little to Tristana. He quickly shrugged it off and pulled out the weapons in his holsters, revealing two six inch curved daggers./ "Gotta say, this has been quite entertaining...but it's time for me to kick it up a notch."
"Ditto." /It shot a large orb of green venom at Paladin. The venom was not lethal, it was for blinding prey. And the reptile knew who it's prey was.
"Please... oh please let this work..." /Tristana held out the hand that wasn't holding her cannon, and closed her eyes. She quickly opened them and above her hand was a small ball of fire. She smirked and closed her eyes again. When she opened them, her bruises were gone. She threw the fireball at Paladin. "Gotta love summoner spells." edit- (just realized he said humans, tristana is tiny and blue skinned, with pointy ears, not human)
/Paladin barely managed to dodge the acid orb, a bit of the residue catching his left eye. The pain caused him to falter, but only for a moment. He recollected himself and went on the offensive against the reptile. A swift kick to it's jaw made it stumble back, before the Paladin took a bit of revenge and slashed at one of the reptile's eyes with his dagger, him equally as blind as Paladin's left eye. He followed the strike with another slash across it's chest, and one final kick to once again send the creature to the ground./ "How'd you like tha--" /He stopped as he felt magical energy building up. Paladin turned around just in time to see the fireball rushing at him. He charged up another Lightning Cannon, and shot it at the fireball, both exploded but both were also close enough to the Paladin that the shockwave threw him back. As he stood back up, he smirked./ "You're just full of surprises, aren't ya?"
"Look at you knowing something!" /Tristana grabbed the triangular medallion off her belt and hooked it onto her cannon, then proceeded to do the same with the green gun and her sword. She aimed at Paladin, and fired. The shot smashed him and exploded. Small orbs of green and blue light flowed out of the explosion and over to her. Paladin felt heavy, as if he had been put on slow motion.
/Paladin fell down to his knees, breathing heavily. He looked up at Tristana, his vision blurring. He then pressed down on two metal indents on his neck./ "N.V.I...Activate the Duodecim Armor." /Paladins clothes began to harden, turning into what seemed to be like metal, then they began to cover his entire body, forming into a sleek black armor. Finally, his head was covered in the armor and a skull-shaped mask formed where his face was, two glowing yellow lights replaced his eyes. The armor glowed for several seconds, and soon after, Paladin stood back on his feet./ "You know, I promised myself I'd never use this armor again, but you've forced my hand. Fun times over, Tristana. Now comes the part where I put you in the ground."
"Hmmm... I have slowing abilities linked to my shots, and you just made yourself at least three times as heavy, and even less agile. You just made yourself a turtle." /Tristana backed up quickly, stopping at the wall. "Also. Acid spitting lizard behind you."
EDIT: Ninja's, explainations later. /Paladin was caught off guard by the attack from the creature, but he quickly regained composure and shook the creature off. He then unleashed a barrage of punches and kicks to the reptile, and with the armor, they were stronger than ever. Finally, two blades shot out of Paladin's forearms./ "AFTER YOU!" /Paladin plunged them into the creatures shoulders. Instantly, thousands upon thousands of volts of electricity began coursing through the creature. Paladin forced the creature to the ground, simply staring at it in silence as he continued to electrocute it, staring at it with the cold, emotionless yellow eyes. Finally, he removed the blades, letting the creature collapse to the floor./
"You have too many upgrades." /Tristana shook her head. She held up the boot hooked to her belt and it vanished, replaced by a dark blue square shape, painted like a face. "Go ahead, kill the lizard. I'll be waiting."
/As the creature fell, it drove it's barbed tail through the Paladin's stomach. "F-Fall..." /The Reptile coughed up blood, melting the floor.
/Seeing the opening made by the tail of the dying creature, Tristana smiled. She held up her new trinket and 2 small, shadowy figures emerged and floated over to the two. They both slipped in past the tail, making the inside of Paladin's armor smokey. "Your fancy armor? I still can abuse it..."
(Just for the record, the armor is literally a second skin.) /Paladin took the stab wound, wincing in pain before pulling out the tail, he noticed two smoky figures circling around him, attempting to invade the suit but to no avail. Paladin turned around. His armor began to glow with energy before exploding outwords in a bright light./ "Nova Flash!" /The entire arena was flooded wiith a bright light that rivaled even the sun, destroying the smoky figures and blinding Tristana. Paladin took the opportunity, he rushed towards her and threw her into the air. He jumped towards her and grabbed her by the arms, driving her down towards the ground in a Crucifix Powerbomb/ "Aegis Driver!" /Tristana crashed into the ground almost head first, Paladin jumped away, clutching his wound./
/Tristana coughed and stood up. Her face was bruised, and she was holding her shoulder. She kicked one of her scattered cannonballs, and it rolled over to Paladin. She frowned and held up the medallion again. The figures reappeared and floated in front of her. She smiled again as she picked up the green gun and the sword. She shot one of them and slashed the other in half. They both produced green and blue orbs that floated over to her, healing every point they touched. She closed her eyes and opened them, using the healing spell again. She stood up straight, reattached her gun and sword to her cannon, and picked up the cannon. "Y'know... This is the best battle I've ever had." /She cracks her neck and fires her cannon at the lizard, in an attempt to finally finish him. "I do hope we'll have more company before one of us kills the other." (edited for narrowleaf)
(This is gonna be my last post for now, then I'mma head off to bed.) /Paladin watched as Tristana healed herself. He smirked. He pressed down on the wound in his stomach, a glow emited from his hand, and as he removed it, the wound had been partially healed, at least to the point where it wasn't bleeding anymore./ "I haven't had a thrill like this in awhile." /Paladin charged at Tristana, charging magical energy into his palms, he hit Tristana with a series of strikes, each of them hitting her both with physical damage and Paladin's lightning magic.A swift kick to her face sent her crashing to the ground./ "But now this is where it gets fun."
