Thanks for the summary! I'd thought of going through and doing something similar. So handy! ^_^ @Snowy No problem! It was linked in the MLP:FiM community on the journalling site I frequent and I knew it was something some ponies here might be very interested in.
*Hugs* Meh, I'm fine. I'm used to rejection because of sexuality at this point. Its a very dangerous disease, you know.
Aye. Just like cooties. I think I'm beginning to draw A correlation here. I must do further research on the matter. Especially with it's *sarcasm*horrid*/sarcasm* symptoms; - Being who you are I just find it odd that people Are so obsessed with such Inconsequential things.
look at any and all hate in the world. it is all born out of ignorance. My mom, dad, sister, pastor, president told me to be afraid, scared, angry, that you are wrong, or something dumb. Then the people that are afraid to form their own view on things and would rather just follow the leader start wars, racism, or hate crimes against those people. Part of the world just has something deeply wrong with it...
Where does that leave all the lefts? huuur. Im really glad that this survey was taken, I've been waiting to have some sort of useful and reliable information with which to counter the anti-brony mindset that is rife in my area of the world.
This is all interesting, but I'm a bit confused about something...where is all this information is coming from? Yeah, I'm surprised to be in any minority at all. For some reason I assumed there would be more high-schoolers, but I guess not. Oh well. Hahahah--wait, what? There's people that believe that say that? Oh right, this is the internet. Still, that's pretty stupid. If the fanbase was 100% straight (which is probably impossible for ANY fandom no matter how you look at it), some people who don't watch the show would still think that, so why get all defensive? People are going to judge other people for really stupid reasons--it's (sadly) human nature. :/ There's nothing we can really do that, since people can be really stubborn about their opinion on something/someone/a group of people, even when the evidence saying otherwise is presented to them...
Ugh, I think people are getting a little too serious with this. The only reason people seem to frown upon the subject is because it carries the title of "My Little Pony." I feel weird when people talk about "converting" their friends or families into Bronies. It's an amazing and lovable TV show, not a religion. With all the perversion and extreme dislike of non-bronies, I'm not sure that I want to hang around with online Bronies anymore. When I first came here, I thought this place was great. I immediately felt comfortable, everyone was nice, and we got to share our love with the show. Lately, it seems Bronies are becoming a bit too stubborn and close-minded. Just because someone doesn't like the show shouldn't make them an enemy to us, though some can be rather harsh about it. I love the show, I love the fandom, and I know how difficult it can be to explain it well enough to someone. That's why I take my time with who I tell and how I tell them. If I were told by a friend that he/she enjoys MLP, I too would have been confused at first. Try to put yourselves on the opposite side. For those who were told about the show from a friend, were you not confused or startled at first? When I found out about the show I fell in love with it and everything it stands for. The feeling I got from watching each episode was like being wrapped in a blanket next to a fire with your family on a cold winter night, with hot chocolate too of coarse. I went in search of a forum because I thought that if I found others who enjoyed the show as much as me, they would have loved it for the same reasons. I found out after some time that it wasn't case. Nevertheless, we are Bronies.....we are family.
The more a community expands, the more diverse it is. Usually, this is not a problem. However, when you get bronies that are bronies only in name (sense of belonging and whatnot, think hipsters), then you start to blur the line. Result? ^^'s post. As for religion, it's as much a religion as you make it. That is one's right, to belive what they want. If they want to worship MLP, let them. No one is forcing you to be near them either, though. This is why this place is nice. I see very little of the overly-obsessive type of people here (With at least two notable exceptions.)
Demopan? IN DANSZE'S SIG!? Stout Shako for 2 refined. Anyways. Not really surprising. I find these results to be quite acceptable.
Well considering there's this whole financial crisis or whatever going on, pretty much everyone is out of a job in the US. Of that "pretty much everyone", there's probably a certain amount of people who watch the show, heh.
