"Cargo has been stored and is ready for flight." It responds. "I have signaled the port and they are ready for is to depart." It adds and the doors above them open to a cloudless sky.
He puts some sunglasses on and grins "Alright sky is the limit lets get going." he finishes the flight check before starting to fly the Spartan
The jets roar to life and the heat thrust upon the ground, pushing the ship into the open and awaiting sky. The sky peeled away as the ship breached it, pushing them to the boarder of space and into the void. The Spartan shook as it punched through the atmosphere and leveled out as they went deeper into the void. "Do we have a plotted course?" Luna asked.
"yes here are the coordinates." He types them in "the captain said 10 hours so I'm not going to really rush until he gets up." takes a look back
"Calculating co-ordinates." Luna replies as Showtime stumbles down the hallway, holding his head. "Whats happening...? Who are you...?" He asks Grey softly.
"heh wow you were out you hired me I'm your new pilot." he says with a smile "you also have a job for delivering something to some planet so thats were we are off to."
He looks at him like everything he said was jibberish. "Wait, hold on, back track... who are you?" He asks as he stumbles to the kitchen and starts to make some coffee. "And not so loud this time... I got a thumping headache for some reason..."
"The names Grey lighting you hired last night when you were in a bar." He says more softly "From the way you were i'm not surprised your hungover." he keeps his eyes on the screens in the cockpit still getting used to the way the ship flew
He pours some coffee and takes a sip, then adds some whiskey to it. "Okay, So you're my new pilot, Grey Ploting." He repeats as he takes a sip, "And whats happening to my ship?" He asked
"you said you had a job and its in the cargo bay so we set off to deliver it." He looks back to Showtime "you really did have alot last night didn't you?"
Thinks, "No more than average." He said as he takes another sip and adds some more whiskey. "So what are we delivering and where are we going?" He asked and looked at the screen before rubbing his eyes, the hang over making it difficult to read.
He looks at him a little unimpressed, "Glad your not our navigator.." He says to himself. "Who is our navigator by the way?" He asks as he takes a big gulp of his drink which was now more whiskey than coffee.
Sits in the chair keeping on the course he plugged in "hay Luna you know anything about the planet we are going to?"
"Plant Keth in the Arvenell system." Luna responds. "Oh Celestia..." Showtime mutters to himself, "The computer is navigating...." He walks back towards the kitchen area, "I'm gonna need a stronger drink."
Pours a glass of burbon and then drinks from the bottle leaving the glass behind. "Yeah. Its a **** hole." He tells him, "not to worry, with her navigating we'll be luck if we end up in the right system." He adds.
He shakes his head and smiles. "Last time she navigated, I ended up having to pay my way out of slave labor." He looks at Grey for a second, "its a long story."
