"Ouch!! Watch it, guy!!" She screamed, falling to the ground. "That hurts, in case you didn't know. Like... A lot!!" Narrowleaf got up, then tripped. "S-Stupid hooves!! Even as a mare, I'm clumsy!!"
She stared at him in disbelief. "You're not normally a mare? Then..." she said, looking down at herself. She began to tremble violently, and then put her hooves on NArrowleaf's shoulders. "Just.. tell me. Be brutally honest here. Am I a stallion?" Her breathing began to get faster. "Am I a guy?!"
"Uhm... Y-Yeah. You are." Narrowleaf responded. "Everypony's like this. We don't know how long this is gonna last. I was actually on my way to go try and be a mare for a while." She thought for a moment, then continued. "Wanna c-come with?"
"C'mon Erryponeh, shmile shmile shmile..." Moon Shine stumbled drunkenly outside, singing off key. "Fill mah heart up wit... shumthin'... shumthin'..." He suddenly realized that he was no longer indoors, and fell to the ground laughing. "Hey, gesh what," he called to nopony in particular. "Teh cure... it ISHN'T booze! I know, cuz I jusht tried it all!"
Lead wandered over to Moon an kicked his side. "You, sir, have a problem. You didn't share any. I could use some of that..." She mumbled angrily and picked up the drunk pony. "Do you have any more?"
Kleft stared between the door and Snow for but a moment before pushing it open. "No. We shouldn't just go barging outside," she commented as she walked out the door and ran out to find whatever had caused the genderswaps. Whatever it had been, Kleft had the faintest feeling that they weren't the only ones affected by it.
Moon Shine kicked Lead Weight in the head to free himself, and opened his saddlebag. It was jammed full of bottles of wine. "Well... I shupose I could shpare a bottle." He tossed a bottle of wine to Lead, and grabbed one for himself. "Bottomsh up!"
Eluuna sighed. "OK, let's do this." She stood, and saw a female picking up a madly bumbling pony. "What..." she began, brow furrowed. She turned to Narrowleaf. "Do you know any of those guys?" she asked, utterly confused. "Should we.. go help?"
"He's just drunk. The other's a jerk." Narrowleaf replied, shrugging. "Y-You can help them if you want. I'm not gonna bother, personally. I was just leaving, in fact." She dusted herself off, then began to walk away.
"Cheers!" Lead quickly chugged the whole bottle and smiled. "That's surprisingly strong stuff, lightweight. C'mon. You wanted to look for a cure? So do I." She offered a hoof-shake to moon, feeling her heart jump like a schoolgirl with a crush. She ignored the loud insult from Narrowleaf.
"Wait.." she said, coming up after him. "We need to work together on this. Please." She shook her head. "I'm not very strong, and frankly, drunks alarm me. But we should help them." She sighed, reluctantly, and groaned a little. "I'm not looking forward to this, but it's the right thing to do."
Tj finally walked out of narrow's shop after a while of hesitating, a frown on his face as he came out, then softly said,"lets go, I want to get back into my old body, this is just... So, so wrong...", when he came out he also saw the alcohol bottle & looked at the ones drinking with disgust
Narrowleaf sighed. "Fine..." She said, frowning. "Let's go... Help 'em or whatever. Hey, drunks! We're goin' to find a cure. C'mon! You're comin' with." She called, motioning for them to follow.
Firebreeze moped around town, mumbling unintelligently to herself, occasionally asking herself questions like, "Do I have to change my name?" or "Oh man, do I have to wear dresses now?" Her mind seemed to have gone into a massive state of confusion.
Moon Shine wasn't much of a follower, but going with Narrowleaf seemed like as good an idea as any. "Hold on a shecond... " Moon plunged his head into the ice cold water of a nearby rain barrel. The chill was enough to sober him up quite a bit. He shook the water from his mane and ran to catch up. "So... where are we headed? I don't think that the library has any books on magic THIS advanced."
"Perhaps we should try to find the others?" suggested Eluuna vaguely. She was having a hard time adjusting to her heavier male body, and short hair. As a result, she was constantly doing short little jumps of flight, and blowing at her hair, and looking all around.
"Oh. R-Right. By others, you mean everyone, r-right?" Narrowleaf asked curiously. "Either way, I agree, I guess. Or whatever. I'm not sure." She sighed, and after a moment of silence, she finally said, "I'll be right back." Narrowleaf ran back into her store.
"I mean all the ones who were affected. We should-wait, I'm sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but where are you going?" she asked, glancing around with a look that said, 'Don't leave me here with the drunks!' She noticed two ponies exit a building, but kept her gaze on Narrow.
"Fine then. C-Come with me." Narrowleaf called. "Let 'em... D-Do whatever. I'm just grabbing a f-few things from my shop. C'mon, you might want something from my shop." She motioned for Eluuna to follow.
