No. They tried to kill Cadence when she went to the Badlands. I can't find the exact post right now, but I know Cadence mentioned it when she talked to Venquis in the palace. She said they were "under new management". Unless...did someone else say they were on our side and I missed it? Besides... Spoiler: Spoiler Cadence isn't dead, just paralyzed. It's harder to kill an alicorn than Chrysalos thinks.

I often wonder what Hasbro would think if they knew what kind of bloodthirsty killers so many of these RPs and fanfics turn these cute little ponies into. Also, Discord made his first appearance! Did you catch it?
