Obsidian's meditation was disrupted. A force of magic the likes I which he thought non-existent had rocked the second world, forcing him into consciousness. He walked out of his door and felt sick. The energy coming from Luna's room was sending his chi balance into a state of disruption and imbalance. He knew something awful was happening. He walked cautiously to the door the energy came from and, holding back his illness, knocked on the door. He prepared for anything to be waiting on the other side.
Silver heard knocking, and quickly opened the door. Nightmare Moon greeted Obsidian. "Hello, again, young buck. Or is hello for the first time? I have met you, but I suppose you have not yet met me. I am the Dark Princess, Nightmare Moon."
Obsidian stared at the dark princess. He felt the dark energy leaking into his balanced aura. "I have heard much bad of you. Is your fault, yes?" He turned to Silver as he walked calmly into the room. "I hope you do not regret choice." He turned again to nightmare moon. "Taking a guess. You plan to eliminate daytime, yes?" He remembered the book, and how it told the story of nightmare moon. "Of course, Elements cannot stop you. They are gone. Some pony made foalish choice just n-" Obsidian fell to his front knee. "You are quite dark... It is af-affecting me."
Venquis then went downstairs and went around the corner to see Nightmare Moon standing with Obsidian and Silver. He had to admire the Princesses power, it was on par with his own at his absolute best condition and the Princess had this power like it was nothing. "This is your princess, is it not. I believe this just explained the high magic surge i had just felt." Venquis said, studying the new appearance of the princess. "Sorry princess that i have to ask this, but did you just reincarnate? Forgive me for my lack of Equestrian or Alicorn understanding."
The princess laughed at Obsidian's question. "Eliminate daytime? Of course not! How would the plants grow? You will find that I am not as foalish as I was in my youth. As for my dark powers, I apologise. Some creatures feel adverse effects when they first contact dark magic. I assure you, it will pass." Silver spoke. "To answer your question, Venquis, the Night Princess never reincarnated, because she never died. The Dark Princess is simply the other half of Princess Luna's personality, a manifestation of her most powerful emotions. Jealousy, rage, and bitterness, as well as love, compassion, and forgiveness. The emotions that Princess Luna sought to hide, her darker half revels in. The princess that stands before you is still the Lady Luna, but she is also something... more. She is the night incarnate, hidden for years by the Night Princess. I went against Princess Luna's wishes, and broke the seal that kept the princess' true powers locked away. I do not regret my decision. The illness that nearly killed Princess Luna was easily healed by the power of the Dark Princess. The true ruler of Equestria has returned, and I have fulfilled an oath I swore more than one thousand years ago."
"I understand about you now Lady Luna. And i have some news that you might find interesting, we are currently of the coast of the Crystal Empire. The Empire is one of the very last locations that is fighting against Celestia, or from what i have heard, Empress Solar in the Zebra tongue. The overall structure of the empire remains intact, but weakens with every passing day and the kingdom is expected to fall within the next week or fortnight." Venquis then brought a letter from his suit's pockets. "It's from one of my contacts here. He is going to describe what it's like under her rule." Venquis then coughed to clear his throat and began to speak. "To the last Razoran in the Ryborian royal family and the one i call proud to call my friend By now, you would be near Equestria. It appears that Celestia has been preparing for a major attack against the Crystal Kingdom. They have been creating Ryborian like armor and weaponry, which was the reason they wiped out Ardelan, to leave no Ryborian to challenge her. Equestria has been transformed from a forest like land to a living fortress of stone. It looks like the majority of the civilians wished for Luna to return and set things right and are being oppressed. It is just like what Somba did over a thousand years ago. I have more news for you, in what could seem pivotal to your success. Several large war assets, such as the remaining Zebra, Griffon, Dear and so forth are already at your side, ready to meet you when you decide for "the big one". Princess Candace is still alive but is currently very weak. Ellion forces are coming to congregate to your location soon. I could go on and on, but it seems that messageing is being tightly controlled. It's a miracle that this was sent in the first place. One more thing, She is onto you now in full force, just try and hold the Crystal Kingdom until we arrive. It's a tall order to ask, but everypony's lives depends on it. When you arrive, be ready. I dont know Ryborian well, but may Sihana guide you." -A Venquis then looked up at his companions with a smile on his face. “Thank you Adaria, may Sihana guide you as well.”
Nightmare was furious. "Cadence is an innocent! She poses no threat! My sister has gone too far!" She transformed her body into a cloud of blue smoke, and flew out of the room and down the hall. Silver considered going after her, but quickly realized that he would be of no comfort to her. "Her emotions are amplified in this form. She will need time to calm down. Obsidian, we still need Spike and the Dragons. We make landfall in five minutes. Be ready."
(Taken from Celestia’s point of view.) (Note: For some reason, only half of this was posted. Must have been a problem in word since i write my responses there incase the internet crashes. Here is the rest of it.) The Royal Palace was no longer the kind appearing castle that amazed many for generations. If one word was to describe what it was now, it would be “Imperial.” Canterlot and the rest of Equestria was much more of an imperialistic nation than its former self. Canterlot was now what could be considered a fortress metropolis, with the city being much larger than it used to be. On the throne room sat an Alicorn who has many nicknames, but all the nicknames that were given to her still led to the same figure. On the throne sat Empress Celestia, known as “The Phoenix Queen.” Five of her generals went into the throne room when they were summoned. Only five could arrive to her, as the other seven were away preparing for an assault on the Crystal Kingdom in Fillydephia. Celestia was dressed in Red and Gold royal clothing, most likely Ryborian influenced. Her crown having several other jewels embraced into it with the adorning piece being a Violet in memory of her former student Twilight Sparkle. She could tell by her general’s faces that it was bad news, which in turn lowered her mood. Her generals stopped in a line to talk to the empress. “Speak....” said Celestia in a low tone. “What have you found and what is the progress on our final assault until we take back Ellion?” The generals remained silent for a few seconds until one had the courage to speak up. “Preparations are almost ready for the Crystal Kingdom, but we have lost an entire fleet to what appeared to be a stolen ship. Twenty thousand of our soldiers were wiped out by a single ship...” “That’s impossible. How could a single ship take down one of our fleets?” Celestia said as she began to raise her voice. The generals looked at each other before replying. “We have gathered enough intelligence about these individuals. The majority of these were first hand sightings. We have spotted a duelist, a buck, a crystal pony, and others on this ship. Two that will come to your attention is a Ryborian and a Alicorn.” Celestia began to think about these two individuals, before waving her hoof to allow the generals to continue talking. "Tell me about this Ryborian, i thought we had already finished them off permanently. Continue, what did they find." “The Ryborian had a spell sword and had a black and red mane alongside a light almost white coat. He appears young, but has taken down thousands upon thousands of our men in what appears to be an act of vengeance.” The general said. “Venquis Razona, the bane of kings. How is he still alive?” Celestia said. “And the Alicorn, who is it!” she ordered, trying not to show the panic that she had. “It’s.....um....your sister.” Said a general positioned at the end of the line. The last sentence sent Celestia into a fit. She was furious about her sister and what she thought of companions. She knew that Silver would be with her, but with Venquis, the Nightingales and many other new additions. She rose up to her chair and walked up towards the terrified generals. “ Change of plans. These targets are now top priority, higher than Candace’s level.I still want Candace to be killed, but to ensure the future of the empire, these targets are too important to simply let go. I want them stopped immediately. I have lost Princess Twilight Sparkle already, I will never lose anypony ever again....” And with that, the generals ran out the room to rush back and prepare for Luna’s arrival. Celestia then walked over to a porch that overlooked Canterlot. She had changed dramatically, to make sure that something like Twilight's disappearance never happened again. A small tear came down her face, and what could have been the liquid manifestation of the last of her goodness leaving her. Never again, shall the good queen live....
(Crimson... How are every single one of your posts a full length short-story? It's impressive.) Obsidian forced himself back up and nodded his acknowledgement of Nightmare moon not being "evil" and the need for the dragons. "I will need to balance myself again, but 5 minutes more than enough." He ran back to his room and forced a meditative trance in preparation. He delved back into the second world where the excess dark energy attempted to be drained from him, but was stopped when he was overwhelmed by light energy. The second world was being flooded by Celestia's magic, and Obsidian was forced out when he entered with the residue of nightmare moon. As he woke from the trance, he rushed up to the deck, knowing that his aura would never be properly balanced again. He needed to be around agents of the dark princess to keep his aura in check now. His grey eyes faded to black as his body's way of showing the change which only he knew about.
(Thanks. Even in my smallest RP post, it's about two paragraphs. The longest i have ever written was about 1,700 words, longer than some book introductions. I tend to write a large amount, even if it's by accident. Not only does RP'ing help be write better, but it helps with my stories and novels i write every so often. So yeah, it's mostly by accident. The one above was at around 800-950 words with my trying to write.) Venquis went to his quarters of the ship and stayed in there for a short while. Not only did he prepare breakfast there and take Silver's remedy there which helps him with his sickness, but he had to make his prayer to Sihana. According to the Ryborian's main religion, Sihana is the goddess of life and the afterlife. It is said when a Ryborian dies, the individual can choose to live in any sort of paradise of their choosing for all eternity, be it a humble and relaxing afterlife with friends and family to a warrior heaven with perpetual combat and large meal halls which there is always enormous amounts of food and drink. Because of "The Choice", any believers of the religion thank Sihana for allowing them to have that choice and like to come with good terms with her. Sihana is a major god in the Ryborian religion, which hosts a list of gods to choose from. Not surprisingly, an enormous amount of Ryborians are deeply spiritual... After his prayer, which lasted to around five to ten minutes, he got breakfast and sat outside on the deck with his bowl enjoying it while he watched the stunning scenery around him.
Yclept woke up still pretty tired, then went to the kitchen, below deck, grabbed some forms of ale & went to the top deck, where he sat on some stairs & used his magic to lift the bottles for him,"good morning Ven..."
After finishing some musuli Cobra went up onto the top deck with a small shrine. He placed it down and was joined by other nightingales who circled around the shrine. One by one they added some blood to a engraved bowl in the shrine. Then pulling out their swords they pointed them into the centre before chanting. "Lunaris areno, Lunaris dei. Soreno Kai li Vanen ti. Sa vo ka ne, va no se ka, Lunaris dei areno sa". Then cobra began speaking in the ancient Tongue of the order. "Nightingale sa teo ma song, gret davil Trent ma grow. Nightmarus cresen lunaris tru. Werentus gai obsidian lo, grentanus seren ta Yclept. Venquis zase dren FO". After a couple of seconds and after finishing the nightingale meeting by taking a sip of the blood each they returned back to there duties. ((I'll let you try to figure out what they were saying))
After the battle, Star Shimmer had left the deck without a word. She had walked to her bed, as if in a trance, and upon reaching it, she fell asleep... ------ She found herself in the library's basement. A large, golden star was drawn in topaz dust on the ground in front of her. The Dread King Sombra stood in the center of the star, she stood just outside. Sombra had a calm expression on his face as he paced back and forth, examining the star. "I'm impressed...my Most Faithful Student." Star nodded. When she replied, her voice carried the flat affect that every crystal pony had at that time. "Thank you, Master. I live only to please you." A wicked grin crossed the king's face. "Of course you do." He trotted toward the crystal pony and life's her face toward his with a hoof. "And I am very pleased. Your progress has been astounding." "Thank you, Master..." He dropped his hoof from underneath her chin and walked back into the center of th star. "Now, my Faithful Student, perform the spell, just like I taught you." "Yes, Master..." She lowered her head and starts chantin he eldritch words of power... ------- ...and woke up refreshed. However, all at once, she felt a dark and terrible energy, and thought for a moment that she'd summoned Sombra again...
(I have no idea, but Venquis was mentioned right near the end. It's important right....) Venquis finished breakfast and went back up stairs to look at the mainland drawing closer. He put on his armor and went to relax to watch the mainland. Venquis began to see some very familiar scenery, such as the iconic crystals that the empire had and some mountains. Venquis prepared his bag and went to wait until the boat docked.
Yclept gave cobra on odd lock with an eyebrow raised,"what we're you chanting over there, I think I head my name..."
Nightmare Moon had calmed down enough to speak with Silver. "My sister... I know what you said to Venquis about her, and, at that time, you were right to do so. At that time, I wished only to save her. Now, I am no longer certain that anything remains of the sister I once knew. The Celestia that I knew would never plot against Cadance. I fear that she may be beyond saving. When the time comes... do what you must." Silver could hear the sorrow in her voice as she spoke. He nodded grimly. "As you command, princess."
(Celestia again) Celestia traveled to the major military camp personally to ensure the success of the empires invasion on the Crystal Empire. The camp was located fifty miles from the border and could be seen from space. Celestia wore her military armour, special Ryborian armour made exclusively for her in a deep red and a bright gold. She carried a special spell sword which she had carved by a Ryborian in thanks of curing the Seventhrithium. Her thank you present was the near extermination of the entire race. She was guarded by an elite guard of the hundred best soldiers in the Empire She stayed in the tent which was in the center of the camp. Not only were her soldiers ferociously, almost zealot level, in loyalty but they were now using Ryborian/Equestrian hybrid armour and weaponry. Her soldiers numbered in the millions, and the attack on the Crystal Empire would be crucial to her success if she were to take Ellion. She sat down with her generals, discussing the plans of the attack, the resources needed, the enemy forces and Luna and the Dishonored’s near arrival. She wanted Candace’s death to be a message to every land that Equestria will live again. Once that was done, she left as soon as she arrived a. Allowing her generals to take over for the invasion. Within the next three days, the Crystal Empire was expected to surrender within three days and become annexed by Equestria. If not, then a swift genocide was expected to take place.
As the crew slowly collected on the deck of the Dishonored, a shadow was cast on the ship from above. Obsidian was the first to notice and looked up. "Dragon, incoming." The beast, clearly not an adult, but still much larger than most creatures, flew down and landed on the ship. A crystal pony jumped of the back of the dragon. The crystal pony looked around and saw who the crew consisted of. "We've been waiting for you." He walked over to Venquis and bowed slightly. "We are the representatives of the Crystal Kingdom sent to meet you and your force, Ryborian. As you can see we are already allied with the dragons against Celestia, and need you on land with us as soon as possible. Celestia's empire is pressing hard on our borders, and according to the dragons, she is ready for an all out war." The dragon had grabbed the front of the ship and was pulling it towards the shores of the Crystal Kingdom, effectively doubling the speed of the ship.
“My contact in Equestria gave me word of you already. I believe that she is now the leader of a rebel group, so she would be in hiding until we can try and turn them back. This is excellent news about the alliance with the dragons, they will prove most useful in our fight.” Venquis then pulled out a map and began to study the landscape of the Crystal Kingdom. The lone Ryborian then continued to discuss further situations with the crystal pony who had just arrived. Within a couple minutes, he then turned around to the group and went back over to them. “According to all known contacts, she plans to attack within the next three days. The Dragons and Crystal ponies are already allied, with the remainder and surviving force of the Zebra and Griffon armies en route to the kingdom. We don’t have much time, so we need to get to Princess Candace as soon as possible. If she were to fall, then the kingdom falls.” his latest report, those who survived in Ardelan had escaped in secrecy to the Crystal kingdom to back up it’s defences and the remainder of the civilians were to assist with fortifications. While their numbers are small, they would provide an unparalleled asset to the war against The Phoenix Queen with their prowess and magic capabilities. This made Venquis the happiest he has been in a very long time as a wide smile came across his face. He then seen the Dishonored get closer and closer to the mainland until they eventually arrived at a small shipping town at the Crystal Kingdom.
Cobra was the first to get up only to be met by a group of crystal ponies each carrying a different box labelled with the names of cobra's squadmates such as venquis and obsidian. He graciously accepted the gift opening it and inspecting it. "Brilliant, A crystal rapier. Considered the best military grade duel sword on the entire continent. Wait what's this". After inspecting it closer he noticed some words on the hilt and blade neither equestrian, griffin or dragon. He turned to Venquis. "Ven, can you have a look at this writing. It doesn't look like crystal, griffin or dragon and it's certainly not equestrian".
