"No! No, no fighting here! I was not acting good. I do not want to hurt anyone, but he is royal bodyguard. Just doing his job. All is okay now, yes?" He held out a hoof to Silver to show peace.
Shimmer took a step back when she saw things start to go south between the bodyguard and the deer, and desperately hoped she wouldn't have to get involved. After all, she wouldn't be able to wield her weapon effectively in such a small space. Nevertheless, she backed toward the wall where it leaned and let it fall onto her back. After a bit of finageling, she tied it to her back. Then, her weapon secured, she slowly started to walk toward the door. I'll have to catch the deer some other time. This is no place for me...
Luna stepped forward and pushed Silver's sword down. "I apologise for my knight. He can be... overzealous at times." To Silver she whispered, "Don't be foalish! Everypony that looks at me is NOT an assassin. The last thing we need is for you to start a brawl. We need allies, not more enemies!" Silver sheathed his blade. "Apologies. I find myself wanting for social graces. I shall leave you in peace. Holly, stand down." Silver walked away from Obsidian, slightly irritated that the Princess had interfered. He wished only to keep her safe. Why could she not understand that?
"H-hello princess alicorn..." Obsidian awkwardly bowed. "Um... I am nice to meet you?" He smiled slightly. "You know I not mean harm, yes? Is what the dragons said true? Is your magic most powerful?" (If you need a translation of what he's saying, since it's rough english, ask, and I'll translate. (it hurt my head trying to make those sentences, which is why I mention it.))
"And i wish to apologize as well. This tavern is the only family i have left" Venquis said sadly. "Seeing that this is the last establishment and the only building for miles before the Windarian (Ellion in the One on One has been renamed. Ellion is the continent now instead of the Ryborian nation.) border. And seeing that Empress Celestia has her eyes set on the continent i have saved years ago, i will not let my work be undone. I knew her before the Equestrian Empire was founded and before the tyrant she is now." Venquis turned around at Luna. "Im sorry for what she has become. I wish i could have done something."
"Why, yes, young buck. Alicorn magic is indeed powerful." Speaking to the whole room, Luna described the events leading up to Celestia's fall from grace. "She spent years training a Unicorn to eventually become her successor. When Princess Twilight Sparkle vanished, the Elements of Harmony were rendered useless. My sister, already saddened by the loss of her student, turned to forbidden magic to protect Equestria from the threats it encountered. Eventually, she was corrupted by the power... I still don't understand what happened next. She claimed that she had seen the error of her ways. She said that stepping down would be best for Equestria... She lied to everypony..." Silver spoke up. "The Night Princess needs help. The few Night Guards who remain have protected her for many years, but the Equestrian Empire has become more aggressive in recent months. It was only a matter of time before they launched a full assault. I know that many here in Ellion have reason to want Celestia gone. I ask you now, are there any among you who will join the fight?"
"I will." Venquis announced, shocking everypony in the room as they turned around to the Ryborian in his armor alongside his spell-sword. They could see the amount of emotion his eyes as he said that he would accept. Venquis then decided to speak to the whole room. "Three hundred years ago, Celestia was burdened with a terrible illness that left her unable to rule. There was no cure, and an unknown member of the Royal Family decided to step in while she was in a near death state. He was simply known as Prince Eclipse, as no other records were avaliable about him." Venquis then went on to describe the events during Eclipses rule, his hatred of other sub races when compared to Equestrians and how Eclipse started the twenty year long war against the Ryborians, a war which almost completely wiped out the Ryborians. "As many of you in this building know the legend of the lone assassin, i have no need to explain how the war ended on that day unless you need me to explain. In the end, there were only about a couple hundred of us and not very many of them. As a survivor of The Black War, you have my support. I have lived during the mercy of a tyrant, and i will never let that happen again here."
"Tyrant means "evil ruler" yes? Evil harms the innocent." Obsidian stood up and shook his head. "Only fight to stop the wrong, and to prepare to fight the wrong. Other princess... She is wrong. I will help." He smiles at Luna, then Venquis, then Silver. "War, terrible. Oppression, worse. We end this quickly, to save lives. Hopefully even spare tyrant's life."
"This tyrant is no longer the sister I knew. I indeed hope that she is not beyond redemption, but I am no foal. We must stop 'Empress' Celestia. By any means necessary." Luna spoke firmly, but was unable to hide the sadness in her voice.
Shimmer had just made of to the door and was about to step through when Venquis started his speech about Prince Eclipse's rise and fall. His words struck a chord with her that nopony could understand except one who has lived through such a time. She turned around and approached the Night Princess, kneeling as she did so. "Savior Sister..." Her voice was just above a whisper as the addressd the diety. "I have lived through a tyrant's rule. I watched helplessly as my friends and family were worked to death in slavery. I don't wish to see anything so horrible again." She remained kneeled, with her face to the floor. "I am no fighter, Revered Savior Sister, but please accept my lance." She would remain bowed unil she was told to rise.
"You have my Rapiers. With the Duel Lord of the orders spirit behind me, my duels shall be swift and gentlecoltly. As long as that Kaiba guy me and Ven met in Fillydelphia doesn't show". He nodded towards the group and did the orders duel sword salute. "Luna, You were the one that promoted me from a simple musketeer to a Royal Duelist of the night and so I stick with you through thick and thin".
Luna turned to Star Shimmer. "Rise, young mare. You need not bow to me or anypony else. All that I ask of you is your friendship in my time of need." She addressed Cobraheart. "Cobra, always loyal. Your aid, though not unexpected, is always appreciated." Speaking to the entire room, she said, "Thank you, all of you, for your help." Silver spoke up. "Celestia's forces are far too powerful to attempt a frontal assault. We still need an army. I have a force of nearly two-hundred Night Guards waiting in the Everfree Forest. If anypony else has allies that they can call on, now is the time to do so. Obsidian. You mentioned Dragons. Can you call on them for aid?"
Star Shimmer stared at the floor pensively for a few moments. After a while, she spoke up. "Savior Sister, the Crystal Ponies will certainly not tolerate the reign of another tyrant in their lifetimes, no matter who it may be. I do not know personally where your niece, Princess Cadenza Mi Amore, stands on the issue of Ellion, but I could venture back to my homeland and find out. If it is your wish..."
Princess Luna could not contain her joy. She rushed forward and hugged the Crystal Pony. "Cadance still lives?! This is indeed wonderful news!" She released Star Shimmer, and her expression darkened. "When last I spoke to my sister, she told me that Cadance had been killed by an Ellion assassin. Yet another lie."
"Crystal kingdom, yes? I go with you. Dragon's cave on route, I will ask them for help." Obsidian walked over to Star.
After recovering from Luna's crushing hug, the crystal pony cast a confused glance toward the princess. "Princess Cadenza has not been in any danger from Ellion, Savior Sister. When I left Her Majesty's service, she had just returned from a pilgrimage to the Badlands that..." A shocking realization suddenly dawned on the crystal pony. "That Your Sister sent her on..." She left her sentence trail off there, too afraid to even suggest that perhaps Celestia had expected Cadence to meet an unfortunate fate in the Badlands. After a few moments, she turned toward the young buck and smiled. "I would be happy for the company, mister... I'm sorry, I never caught your name." Then, she remarked, "I've never seen a dragon before. It would definitely be worh writing about in my journal!"
Venquis then went to introduce himself to the crystal pony and the buck. Since that he would be traveling with them in the future, he might as well get to know his ally's better.
"I am Obsidian." Obsidian bows before Star. "The dragons are not kind. They only talk warriors. Most will not let you write."
