Robin and Cobra walked into the building in which Yclept and Star were. "Hey guys, just here to check on you; see if you need any help". They both sat down cobra was by star and Robin by Yclept
Star glanced up at the two newcomers with her green eyes. "Take me to my palace. I hear that much has changed since I was here last. How have Cadence and her infernal husband kept it during my absence?"
"Shining Armour is dead and Cadence was stabbed by queen Chyrsalsis of the changelings. Not sure if she's back in action or not. Anyway follow me, I believe Cadence and Nightmare Moon wished to speak with star anyway. As they walked out the door and onwards to the palace.
“This is our plan. We have done some research on this matter as well, so we have gathered some shocking facts. The Allied Nations, which are made up of independent nations are struggling to face up to Celestia’s mooks and rangers. By ourselves with our current resources and numbers, we have outnumbered ten to one and easily under equipped. If we continued on this path, Celestia could defeat us one by one. It sounds grim, but my husband came up with this idea.” Ocean said, allowing Crimson to speak. “My idea is a provisional super nation united against a common enemy that can be made permanent after the war or disbanded after it. If we our numbers and united all of our supplies and set up a government that is completely focused on destroying the Equestrian Empire, we will be able to become equal or maybe even stronger than the Empire. Me and Ocean has listed and drawn up equipment, resources, government and any other nessacary details. We could not get approval of this idea while you and Nightmare Moon were unconscious. So we waited until you would both return to consciousness. All we need is one approval and we will be able to turn the war into our favour.”
"What happened, you ask? I've made some improvements to one of my creations. You're welcome, by the way." Discord stepped out of the room and examined the hole that Silver had made in the side of the hospital building. With a snap of his fingers, he repaired the damage, and then stepped back into the room. "When I created the Dragon Ponies, I threw all sorts of fun critters into the mix. Dragon and pony, of course, as well as a little bit of bat and a dozen or so other things. I must say, you and your kin were fun to make." Silver had winced when Discord called him a "Dragon Pony." It was name that he had spent much of his life trying to forget. Discord noticed the look on his face, and sighed. "What's the matter? Is the name I gave you not good enough? Fine. 'Lunar Pegasus' it is! Anyway, when I brought you back... you still haven't thanked me for that, by the way... I tweaked the mixture. You are now as much Dragon as you are Pony. As a result, you are now stronger, faster, and tougher. You are also fireproof..." He yawned. "...and you now have the ability to use Dragon magic." Nightshade flew north as fast as her wings would carry her. Her new horn was proving to be great fun, and she fired blasts of destructive magic at every that she saw moving below. After a short detour to slaughter a group of fleeing refugees, she returned to the sky and began singing. With her new equipment and new powers, she felt invincible.
Cadence nodded in approval. "I am unapposed to this plan. We've already made a stand here, just as a few hundred stallions held back thousands at Thoroumopoli. We have proven to the world that the Equestrians, and the so-called Phoenix Queen, are not invincible. If all of the Allied Nations can unite as a singular force, we may just turn the tide back in our favor. ----- Star blinked for a few moments. She seeemd to be losing strength from her internal fight with the Dark King. Finally, she seemed to regain herself as she looked at everyone with her yellow eyes. "I think...I think the power of the Crystal Heart might just hold him back from taking me over. The closer we come to it, the weaker he'll be." She looked apologetically toward Yclept then. "I'm sorry to put you through this. You must think that I'm stupid, trying to summon Sombra again..." She looked down at the ground, then said, "It's not that he should return. But...like this, I have access to everything he knows about Dread Magic, which is more than a thouasand volumes I could ever posibly read. It sounds selfish to say this, but I only want his power. I...I hope you can understand." ----- Scree, finally having made his way inside the shield, by being invited by a pair wandering of crystal ponies, commanded his troops to return to their true forms. All roughly 50 troops grinned wickedly at each other, chittering about the kind of havok they could cause here. Scree quickly silenced them. "-SHUDDAP! Mother wants us to be 'friends' with these ones, not enemies. Come! We'll go announce ourselves now!-" The soldier and his troop quickly made their way to the palace.
Yclept hugged her,"if you learn his magics you could help even more, it was smart to do, & don't call yourself stupid...", Yclept said softly
“Very well Princess. I believe that we shall celebrate this formation by speaking to the crowds of the city; it’s high time to show Equestria that we are not helpless. To help gather more support, I believe that we need the Ryborian to gather support. Surviving a genocidal war is one thing to tell a story about, but a pony of his background would ensure complete Ryborian support and dedication. I will go find Razona and tell him about our new nation.” Crimson said to the princess, bowing before leaving the room. Ocean then gave Candace a small novel of their ideas and concepts, the majority of them being highly detailed drawings and information. Crimson found Venquis looking towards the sky and into the surroundings of the Crystal Empire. He had stood there for a while, concerned over something. It was time to spread the good news to the Ryborian, news that he would love to hear. “Ven, glad to see you. Windaria is now committed to the war and are sending soldiers, spellswords, and essential supplies towards our new nation.” Crimson said happily. Venquis turned around and cocked an eyebrow. “New nation?” “Long story, Candace will tell you more. Anyway, time to gather your soldiers. Windarian Elders, military command and the Ryborian soldiers who fought here wish to see you promoted. They want you to be their commander n chief. They want you to be the Emperor.” Crimson replied. Venquis looked with an expression of surprise and disbelief. The last time an Elder wanted a member of Royalty to take command of all Ryborians in general was well over seventeen thousand years ago. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to an Ryborian. “Me as the Ryborian Emperor? I don’t know what to say.” Venquis said, he then turned to bow at Crimson. “You have my word Equestrian. I will lead my kind to glory and make Equestria remember why they feared Ryborians all those years ago. I will make the Phoenix Queen bow down to her ‘Gods’ feet (In ancient times, Ryborians were thought of as Gods due to their long lifespan, powers, and civilization. It’s kind of easy to see why due to Venquis unrestricted power that can obliterate an entire city.) and she will be taught the meaning of true power. You know what they say about payback, it’s a bi-“ “Enemy spotted inside horizon. Female Alicorn and is wearing White Spell-Sword Armour, identity confirmed as Nightshade.” A guard ran up and told Crimson while Venquis was mid sentence. Crimson looked terrified as he looked at a tiny yet recognisable shadow of an Alicorn portrayed from the sun. It seemed that she was ready to finish the job. “Alert Silver and the military. Me and Venquis will try and hold her off, PULL DEFENSES UP NOW!” Crimson shouted as he ordered to the guard, the guard then left as fast as he could as word spread around like wildfire. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- While Nightshade was flying, she received a telepathic message from Celestia. Being able to send a message from almost four thousand kilometres from her location was proof that Celestia was powerful. She began to talk. “Remember. If you cannot finish the job and you are critically injured, return to the palace. I don’t want to lose you, and there will be plenty of opportunities to finish off my sister. I will not be angry if you fail since you are my agent, and all agents are treated like my children. You are something special. Remember this and good luck. Oh, and if you do kill her. Bring me her head as evidence.
Obsidian now stood on the roof of a building, watching the approaching alicorn. "The first you must deal with is her. The alicorn amulet is her tool. Kill her or remove it, is all we ask for now." A voice echoed in the air around him. He leapt up slightly, phasing out. He reappeared inches in front of the alicorn, grabbing her and sending her flying down into the electrified shield around the kingdom. She rebounded off and landed a distance away from the shield, a crater around where she landed. Obsidian stood on the edge of the crater and his eyes faded through the color wheel as he looked down at the alicorn. "F-F-Fix the univ-ver-verse..." He twitched and walked slowly down the slope of the crater towards Nightshade.
An Earth Pony soldier burst into the room. "Silver Crescent! Come quickly! Nightmare Moon turned to the messenger angrily. "What is the meaning of this interruption? This had better be important!" The pony, upon seeing Nightmare Moon, Discord, and a Timber-Wolf in the room with Silver, nearly fainted in terror. "I... I... I c-came to tell... I came to tell... Nightshade! Nightshade is in the city!" As the terrified messenger fled, Silver walked flew out of the window.. "I shall face her alone. May the gods forgive me for what I am about to do." Nightshade easily defeated the soldiers that attempted to block her path. Obsidian landed a single powerful blow that sent her slamming into the ground, but she quickly recovered and took to sky beyond his reach. As soon as she reached the hospital, she found Silver Crescent waiting for her. "I should have known you'd find a way to cheat death. You always were a stubborn old fool." Silver drew his swords and prepared for her attack, saying nothing.
Obsidian watched as Nightshade flew away, and the next instant was standing on the roof of the hospital watching Silver and her. "Let them fight. If she survives, finish her. Save our powers." The voice echoed in Obsidian's head, and he instinctively nodded. Jack and his armored companion appeared beside him to watch the fight. Several hooded figures appeared on roofs around the area, with the same intent in mind. If Silver couldn't defeat Nightshade, they would all swarm her with weapons bared, but they would let Discord's puppet have the first shot at his child. (Obsidian's power matches that of about Celestia, but he will only fight beings who are disrupting the natural balance, meaning things that are more powerful than... well basically him.)
Nightshade made the first move, using a spell to encase Silver in a block of ice. Using his new Dragon magic, Silver shouted in ancient Draconic, unleasing a fireball that shattered the ice moments before he hit the ground. As he attempted to recover from the attack, Nightshade used the shaft of her spear to knock him through the wall that Discord had repaired a few minutes earlier. Nightshade flew through the hole after him, and headed straight for Nightmare Moon.
Venquis and Crimson went back infront of the night princess to defend her from Nightshade. The two of them looked at each other and nodded as they looked at the hole left in the wall. Crimson quickly got a gem from his saddlebag and threw it across the room where Venquis then fired a beam of magic at it. The gem surged with power as it formed a barrier around Nightmare Moon and the room. As long as one of them wills it, they could keep the newly created barrier up as long as they could hold out against Nightshade. Crimson nodded as he stayed inside of the barrier as Venquis walked out. Crimson was out of the fight. Venquis looked at Nightshade as he drew his staff out again. He did not want to risk using Moonsaber against Nightshade due to the connection between her and silver. Unfortunately, she was the enemy now and he had to snap out of it. Venquis put his staff away and unleashed Moonsaber, the spell-sword already lit up the symbols across the katana like blade. He then walked towards Nightshade as she noticed him walk into view, noticing the pale Ryborian muttering something under his breath. Venquis was paraphrasing the Vitana, a sacred religious text that members in power say to accept their deaths. Venquis was not sure he could survive against the superpowered Nightshade. He smiled at this thought however as he kept paraphrasing the Vitana (Notice how Ryborian objects, some locations and names end with an 'A'. It's a part of their culture, like how the Sangheli in halo add the -ee suffix when an Elite joins the military.), and was ready to accept a potential death. "By the rivers of Givona, there we sat down. Yea we wept, for we remembered Windaria. Remember, Sihana, that your children on the day of the final judgement began to cry out to you. Oh children of Handilan who art thou be destoryed. Happy shall the children be,for your choice will lead to your reward for us as thou served you. Happy shall the children be when the children are taken into your hands and made into your instrument to play the eternal song." Venquis began. "Do you know these words mean Nightshade? These words will be your judgement as Sihana will judge even you for your actions. You have been mislead, and now you seek to destroy your family. This is not my fight, this will be your fathers." Venquis said as he looked at Silver and nodded. Silver knew exactly what Venquis had meant, this really was his fight.
Nightshade avoided Silver's attack and flew at the Dark Princess. She swore angrily as Crimson's barrier prevented her from entering the room. She pounded against it with her spear, cursing her luck. After a few moments, Venquis walked out, muttering some nonsense about his Ryborian god. The only part that made any sense to her was when he said that it was Silver Crescent's fight. "So... I am to fight the old fool, am I? Very well... I'll make sure that this time, he STAYS dead." Nightshade shot a ball of fire at Silver, blinding him for a moment. She took advantage of his blindness and flew at him with her spear. His highly sensitive ears heard her movements through the air, and he shouted a spell in ancient Draconic that knocked her back and flung her towards the ground. She recovered and charged again, narrowly avoiding Silver's blades as he countered. For nearly an hour the two fought, sword against spear and spell against shout, climbing higher and higher into the sky as each searched for weakness in the other's technique. Finally, as they reached the outer limits of the atmosphere, Silver saw the opportunity that he had been waiting for. The air had gotten thin. Nightshade was finding it difficult to breathe, much less fight. She was beginning to realize that her newfound powers were not infallible. Her spells had gotten weaker, her attacks, slower. As she paused to gasp for breath, Silver struck. He charged forward, reached for her throat, and tore the Alicorn Amulet from her neck. Instantly, her horn vanished as the magical corruption left her body. She looked at Silver, her eyes filled with fear. "By the gods... what have I done?" For the first time in Nightshade's life, she saw tears in her father's eyes. "You have done nothing wrong, my beloved daughter. This was my failure, and mine alone. I am sorry. I should have destroyed this accursed amulet years ago." He looked at her grimly. "You have sworn to serve the Phoenix Queen. To our kind, an oath is sacred and unbreakable. Do you understand what happens now?" She nodded. "I... I understand, and accept your challenge." "Then go to the gods as a Pegasus warrior!" Nightshade fought bravely, but in the end, Silver's superior skill proved to be too much for her. When he finally returned to the hospital, holding the body of his daughter, his face held no expression. He placed Nightshade's body at Nightmare Moon's hooves, speaking in an emotionless voice. "The assassin is dead. So you have willed it, and so it now is. All hail Nightmare Moon."
(Going to build up surprise for a several plot event and twists and this will be my last Celestia post for a while because of that. Once the Allied nations push into Equestria, I will BLOW YOUR MIND!!!) Celestia's expression turned stone cold as she felt Nightshade's power simply vanish from her view. She had just lost another highly successful agent, but what she had seen made it worse. She had seen Silver alive fighting her daughter through a secret link inside her amulet. She had also Crimson and Venquis assist Silver alongside Obsidian. She did not see however, that Candace was alive. It seemed that Equestria was going to have a disadvantage against these warriors soon when they made it into Equestria. To make matters worse, some talk about the formation of a super nation capable of taking on Equestria was beginning to take place in the cities. “It’s a shame Nightshade. I could have made you the most powerful of your kind and you would have never had suffered again. Im going to miss your departure....” Celestia said sadly before turning her attention onto her new plan. “Time for phase two....
"Thank you, Parson," Star Shimmer said. She struggled to get to her hooves, then leaned against the unicorn, and let out a soft chuckle. "Can you pick me up, please? We need to get to the palace." ----- Cadence excused herself from the palace/infirmary in search of Star Shimmer and Yclept. As she travelled down the main street, she came upon a troop of Changelings heading toward the palace. She contained her rage enough to merely order them to "HALT!" Scree and his troop skidded to a halt. Some of them cowered in fear before the princess. Scree maintained his composure enough to step forward. Using his best pony voice, he said, "I am Scree. Mother wanted small group of changelings for helping you." Cadence narrowed her eyes. "Why should I trust you?" Scree gulped. He certainly didn't want to anger the princess. "I...what I mean is, we-" "Spit it out! Why should I trust you, or your 'Mother'?" "We not bad! We just...hungry." "You're not making your case..." Scree was just about in a panic at this point. "We not hungry for you Majesty! We starving! Mother take whatever deal she get for food! We not bad, honest!" Cadence suddenly felt bad for the poor thing cowering in fear before her implied wrath. She hug her head and sighed. "Fine... Scree. Forgive me for being so harsh. I've had a rough day..." She held her head up then and addressed him. "So. What is your plan to help us?" Scree grinned. "We help good! We do guard duty for you! We can do other things too. Mother taught us new tricks." He seemed very pleased with himself. Cadence couldn't help but flash a quick smile at the changeling's enthusiasm. "Okay. Go do guard duty. Show us your new tricks." Scree grinned again and turned to his troops. Now speaking in his native tongue, he shouted, "-Alright, guys! You heard Big Sister! Let's go!-". With that, every changeling quickly burrowed underground and burrowed off in different directions.
Yclept smiled & picked her up, setting her on her hooves, then asked,"are you going to need any help walking?", as he started off to the palace very slowly
