Venquis began to feel better thanks to Starr's words. "Thank you for your sympathy. I don't want to be very depressing but the Equestrian Empire has just invaded the rest of my nation. All Ryborians that did not make it across the sea have been killed, even the children did not make it out alive." Venquis was now very angry at the thought of Celestia turning her back on him, who he called an ally and a friend. "All the remaining members of my race are in Windaria, the homeland. Thousands of miles away from Celestia's wrath." "I know that she must have thought about her decision carefully. Her supervisors must have done the decision for her. Over Five hundred thousand years of civilization ruined in a blink of an eye." Venquis then looked at a nearby crystal and punched it as hard as he could. The Crystal easily broke in two and shattered into thousands of pieces, even through the crystals nearby are known for their durability, some saying they are indestructible, have been broken almost effortlessly by the Ryborian, the very last Ryborian outside Ellion. "She wont die. But her filthy Empire officials will. I will take the pleasure to gutting every single general and military officer in the empire like Cornish game hens." Venquis said coldly. Now has mission against the empire was personal.
"That, Venquis, is an excellent idea. Perhaps you'd like to start now?" Silver had managed to awaken all of the unconsious duelists. He turn to Obsidian and Luna. "I know that you wish to show mercy, but I see no other way. At the very least, they will be given a warrior's death." He turned to the duelists. "Pick up your weapons, and fight for your lives." He gestured to Venquis. "Ryborian, take the three one the right. I'll take the three on the left. Holly, kill the one in the middle." The Timber-Wolf snarled, and rushed her target, who dropped his weapon and fled. Within seconds, Holly caught up to him and knocked him to the ground. He was dead before he could scream. Silver charged in after her, and attacked his opponents without hesitation.
Obsidian stood back quietly, next to Luna, watching the duelist massacre. "I shall not stand in way... I do wonder about this... Seto enemy that friend chased after. I hope he does not escape."
Yclept face hoofed,"you've gotta be kidding me...", then mumbles under his breath,"even I'd show mercy...", then yells out,"killing the helpless is murder!"
Venquis walked slowly towards the duelists, glaring at them with a silent deathly stare. After what had just happened about the Ryborians and Celestia, he even allowed them to attack him first. The duelists however were scared for their lives, their pupils getting smaller in panics of fear as they backed up to a tree. When Venquis stopped in front of them, his hoofs were set ablaze in fire. He had no need to kill him with his sword, they were not worth it. "You will not die by my sword. You deserve something....special." Venquis said as he levitated his three opponents. They were helpless to escape Venquis levitating them as their bodies could not respond. Venquis then walked up to the first duelist closest to him, let mage-fire take over his hand and held it into the duelists face. As he screamed in agony, he did the same to the other two in a brutal but justified display. Venquis then threw them to the ground, breaking their ribs and legs. He then finished up again as he restrained the other two and stood on top of his main duelist. He then raised his hoof as a blue force enveloped it and slammed it into the duelist. "May you find peace in the embrace of the goddess." Venquis said as the following display splattered the duelists head like a messy pancake. He then, out of generosity, allowed Silver and Holly finish off the other two. Insisting that he made their deaths "unforgettable."
Yclept shoved venquis,"you b******, you murdered them when it wasn't required!", & gave him a cold, soul piercing stare that was filled with rage
Silver quickly finished off his opponents, and ran to break up the fight between Yclept and Venquis. Grabbing Yclept, he spoke as calmly as he could manage. "This is not a game, thief. We are at war. Ponies die, and the very best that you can hope for is that you are able to kill them before they kill you. If we had let those ponies escape, how long do you think it would have been before they reported to Celestia? Have you forgotten that the Night Princess travels with us? If Celestia learns of our plans before the time is right, all is lost. We must keep Princess Luna safe! Nothing else matters."
Yclept growls & pulls himself out of slivers grip,"death is never the answer, if you looked them in the eyes you'd see that they were too afraid for their lives, they'd not tell celestia..."
Silver shrugged. He had been called worse names in his long life. He spoke to the empty air where Yclept had stood. "When you are ready to act like a warrior, you may show yourself again. The battlefield is no place for a coward." He turned to his comrades. "Cobra will deal with this 'Kaiba' character. The rest of us should move on." He then spoke to Venquis. "I am sorry for your loss. I have heard tales of your people. They deserved better."
"I'm not a warrior! I'm an infiltrator...", & I only did this so I wouldn't have to continue talking... Bye!", Yclept says angrily
Luna stiffened. "Please... do not call me by that name. Nightmare Moon is a part of myself that I would like to forget. She relaxed, and continued speaking. "Ignore Silver's insults. He's not as... nice... as he once was. He's been a warrior for a long time, and he has seen many friends die. Eventually, he stopped trying to make new friends. Right now, that Timber-Wolf of his is the only friend that he has."
Luna smiled. The argument had ended peacefully. "Of course. No harm done. Shall we be on our way? I am anxious to see Cadence again."
“I just cannot believe it. To see everything I have spent my life rebuilding, to see the war that we won just barely, to see the happiness of my people being cured and then turned to nothing.” Venquis stopped for a moment, choosing his words wisely around the Equestrians. “We deserved better. We were the first to walk this planet, we helped you evolve into what you are today, we helped most of your races become like us because we never wanted to become lonely. We promised unity for everypony, and it was thrown out the window when the Black War came.” Venquis said sadly. “We were cured, and we became as numerous. A cure for a genetic disease that had plagued us for millions of years. And to see the nightmare happen again has just...” Venquis was lost for words. He had no idea what to say to end the statement of the recent events. “From a Ryborian who has seen it all. I personally thank you for your sympathy.” The Ryborian said towards Luna and Silver. “And I wish for this to end immediately. Only tens of thousands are on Windaria. It might take the princess months to get there, but I hope they are ready by then. Now, let’s try and get to your Princess.....Candace, or whatever her name is, as soon as we can.”
Silver rummaged through his saddlebag and pulled out a map. "We should reach the coast soon. I believe that our best course of action will be to board a ship at the Ellion docks and sail for Equestria's northern coast. We can then proceed south until we reach the Crystal Empire. If we move quickly and carefully, we should not encounter any enemy patrols that far north." He put the map away. "Does anypony else have any ideas? Now is the time to speak."
