"You wanted me to talk to dragons, yes? I must travel by land or air to do such..." Obsidian spoke up. "If you wish, I think dragons have cave to near crystal kingdom. Just must walk to dragon cave."
"Indeed, Obsidian. Even a single Dragon would be of great benefit. I don't suppose you know a Dragon called Spike? He was a close friend of the ponies who held the Elements of Harmony. After Princess Twilight Sparkle vanished, the rest of the Elements went searching for her. They were never seen again. Spike was quite young at the time. He's likely fully grown by now. I heard that he went to live with a Dragon clan somewhere in Northern Equestria. Perhaps we will find him in the cave you speak of." Silver thought back on his few encounters with Dragon clans. "Is it still customary to bring a gift when visiting dragons? I have not been among them in a very long time."
"A gift could not hurt..." Obsidian thought for.a second. "Spike... Yes. There was a spike. He was odd. Far nicer than most dragon. He is most likely still alive."
"If were heading to the crystal kingdom, my Order has seeked refuge there. So we shall gain those who have escaped. We could also add the Crystal Snow-Blades Order to our cause. They still train and fight in the ways of old so it could put us to an advantage".
Obsidian jumped in shock as Cobra spoke out of nowhere. "Where is the Seto you went to fight? He not escape, did he?
Cobra pondered for a bit. "There are many clans I no off the Blood Talen clan of the east, The most Barbaric of the clans and the silver scales of the south. The most civilised of the Clans who prefer Books over blades. But I am unsure of the other clans and there behaviour". - - Auto Merge - - Cobra then replied to Obsidian. "Seto won't be a problem anymore. After the fight Seto told me everything. About how Celestia was using force on her own troops to get them in line and how they are getting ever closer in creating dragonscale and phoenix feather armour along with many Ryborian esque Weapons and armour. He had found the error of his ways and has decided to join us in the fight against the empire. He will meet us in the crystal kingdom".
Star Shimmer said nothing for a long time. During the battle, she had merely stood back aghast at the wholesale slaughter she witnessed. Even when things had calmed down and the group was discussing their plans to travel to the Crystal Empire, she remained silent. At the mention of dragons, her mood seemed to pick up, but only slightly. She silently checked Silver's map, the began walking in a vaguely northern direction, for whichever route the party chose.
Star stopped when Yclept addressed her. For whatever reason, her first instinct was to scream at him. Something, anything, just to get it out. But she quickly remembered that he wasn't involved in the fighting and had been just as opposed to it as she was. Instead, she started walking again, just slowly enough that the infiltrator would be able to keep up with her. "Despite the atrocities I witnessed during Sombra's reign, I led a very sheltered life. I've never seen blood before. When one of us is wounded, we crack, like a crystal would. We can't bleed like your kind who are made of flesh and bone. It's...unsettling." That wasn't the entire reason for her silence, but that excuse would probably do for now...
"Oh... I'm sure in time you'll get more used to seeing it...", Yclept said, slowly headed for the group again
Obsidian walked up to Yclept, turned him around and walked him back to Star. "She has more to say." Obsidian looked at the crystal pony with concern. "Speak to us. Do not lie."
"As I said. She has more to say." Obsidian turned to Star. "We wish friendship. Do not hold back from us."
She initially continue walking, ignoring Obsidian's request. However, after several steps of Yclept and Obsidian keeping pace with the crystal pony, Star finally had enough. "I'm not a fighter," she sobbed. "I don't even know what I'm supposed to be..." She shifted the lance on her back to a more comfortable position. "I...I left my home because everything there reminded me of Him... The spires, the banners, even the faces of my fellow ponies... I wanted to escape. The only reason I'm going back now is because the Savior Sister is here." She glanced at her companions. "There. Happy?"
Luna smiled kindly at the Crystal Pony. "You may not be a warrior, but you have already done more for me than you realize. I had thought Cadence long dead. You gave me hope again."
"And you have given me hope that even with my kind entering some of it's darkest days, you have shown that we can make it through this." Venquis said. "Thank you for believing in me. It seems that we have something both in common. I never asked to be turned into what i needed to be and you never wanted Somba to rule. We can relate to that." (Thinkin of using pony creator for a picture of Venquis for reference material. Anybody else want to see?)
"I certainly hope you are glad I made you speak. Friendship is honesty. Honesty is telling not just truth, but ENTIRE truth." Obsidian nodded. "We move faster. I feel an off presence."
Drying her tears, Star Shimmer seemed to glitter in the ambiant light as she looked over the group. Never before had she seen such support, such...friendship. She smiled as she spoke, "Thank you all so much. You barely know me, but you all seem to care. That's more than I could ask from anyone." She bowed to Luna, then turned around and sterted to go again before Obsidian spoke of the "off" feeling he had. "Right. Let's get a move on. We've wasted enough time with my issues." She trotted a little faster to exemplify her point.
Obsidian whispered to Luna asking her to stay at the back of the group with him. She agreed (most likely followed by Silver) "Princess. I have book I found during my time with dragons. It speaks of you, other princess, and 6 champions of "friendship". I learned many lessons from it, but I wish to know, um, more about champions." He pulled an old book out from the pack that his weapon sheath was on.
