Here are some of my unpopular opinions: The Nintendo Wii is highly overrated. Cinema is overrated. I didn't like playing God of War. Parenthood needs to be treated as a privilege, not a right. I am strongly opposed to the use of physical punishment on children (there is a mountain of evidence indicating that its use increases the chances of children developing deleterious psychological effects). Social media is highly overrated. Religion gets preferential treatment, and such treatment needs to end. Texting on cell phones is entirely unnecessary.
I agree with everything you just said, except for the part about hitting your kids. Spare the rod and spoil the child. Kids these days are allowed to get away with anything. Just the other day, I saw a boy that couldn't have been older than ten screaming and cursing at his mother because she refused to buy him an M-rated game. After a few minutes of pleading with him to calm down, she caved in and gave him what he wanted. If I had pulled a stunt like that at ten years old, I wouldn't have been able to sit down for a week.
What makes it an American show? The British cast, locations and references? Perhaps the fact that it belongs to the BBC?
well, its not as popular as it used to be in Great Britain. im positive that yankees watch that overrated show just about more than us now. because of that the BBC betrays great britain by premiering the 50th anniversary trailer in Yankee land. and now Yankees are jumping on this doctor who bandwagon because their sci fi shows are worse. why don't you yanks go watch Torchwood?
No need to be hostile, man. It's just a show people enjoy. And to be fair, you're watching an American show when you watch MLP.
Why don't you stop calling us "Yanks"? It's an American show, aired on an American channel and paid for by an American company.
William you're trying too hard. Calm your jets. FIM is only partially produced in DHX Studios. A lot of the other work comes from Hasbro's own production facilities as well as other contracted animation studios such as Top Draw, in the Philippines.
Listen, you friggin' Limey. Not all of appreciate being called "Yankees." Especially those of us from the South.
I'm from the south and would much rather be called a yankee than a redneck. >3> Not that I like being called a yankee, since when foreigners use it, it's usually with rude intentions.
My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is an animated television series produced by Hasbro Studios and DHX Media/Vancouver (formerly Studio B). It was premiered on October 10, 2010 on The Hub, an American television channel partly owned by Hasbro. This incarnation was created by Lauren Faust, who was a fan of the property in her youth but eventually grew dissatisfied with its poor writing that she felt pandered to sexist stereotypes.[SUP][6][/SUP] Thus Faust endeavored to design her own version of the property to address those concerns and created a series acclaimed for its sophisticated writing and nuanced characters. As a result of these qualities, Friendship Is Magic has not only proven a major success in its intended demographics,[SUP][7][/SUP] but also unexpectedly gained significant followings in peripheral ones, such as teen and adult males. The show has also attracted media coverage for its fanbase, which has spawned numerous adult-themed parodies, mashups, and images, mostly outside its main target audience, especially seen on YouTube and DeviantArt. -Wikipedia And please stop calling us "Yanks". The Revolutionary War ended before ANY of our great grandparents were born.
Please stop trying to "troll". Insulting us doesn't work. Now, back on topic: Lavender Town from Pokemon isn't scary. The music, the lore. Nothing.
we brits including you have always had a bad reputation. The Union Jack is like a blood stained butchers apron. the world has suffered under our flag. Back on topic please.
This contention is predicated on a false dichotomy fallacy; opposing the physical punishment of children isn't tantamount to advocating permissive parenting. Call of Duty video games are overrated (I stopped caring about them when they ceased to be about WWII). I also hate it when people treat those games as a "resource" on small arms. I believe undocumented immigrants in the US should be granted unconditional amnesty. I believe that gun control legislation needs to be loosened, not tightened (most people are in favor of leaving gun control legislation as it is in the US). I honestly don't see the appeal in the iPad. Call me old fashioned, but my laptop gets the job done.
