On a related note, I find the whole obsession with zombie fad to be really annoying. I've never understood it at all. At one point in time people were so obsessed with the topic of what they would do during a zombie apocalypse that the topic must have popped up on every forum in existence every five minutes. I mean... It's not even a particularly interesting subject to begin with. =/

And then there are the people who actually wanted a zombie apocalypse.

    These people concern me.

I'll make sure to leave you to have fun with the zombies if that ever were to happen.

Related: Dark Souls is incredibly overrated, and not even a very good game. It's pointlessly difficult, clunky, and just generally not very enthralling.

    Also, Zelda > Everything.

Actually the difficulty serves a very clear purpose; it makes overcoming obstacles more emotionally satifying.
The game is difficult, but you never really die 'randomly' or 'unavoidably'. Every death is a learning opportunity.

Combat is very streamlined. Some of Dks1's mechanics are a bit vague, but the game has received universal acclaim for its intuitive gameplay.

I guess that's true if you don't like an ambitious dark fantasy setting brimming with atmosphere and a rich background story that's always dangling just out of reach compelling you to delve deeper into the bowels of the world to unearth its secrets and characters that manage to feel alive and intriguing with just a few lines of dialogue and I need to quit now because I'm having fanboi fit sorry about that.

Meh, I played it and wasn't very impressed. The only remarkable thing about the difficulty was the inability to change it. Personally I preferred the Witcher (the first game); that game was dark, thankless, and entirely unforgiving, even outside of combat. Especially outside of combat. Choices always had notable consequences (all of them) and a dramatic effect on the storyline, which was something I desperately felt was missing in Dark Souls.

I actually didn't finish the game, so I can't say much. But I can say that what I played didn't grasp my attention enough for me to finish it. I see that you're a big fan of the series, and I respect that, but it just isn't for me.

I'm more of a Zelda person, as I said before. The lore and setting of the series is just more appealing to me, personally.

Sounds cool. I actually didn't mind this in DkS because it reinforces the feeling of being a 'pawn of the gods', of being manipilated in your actions by forces beyond your control. This 'not being in control of your destiniy' is more or less a central theme of the game. But on the other hand I also like games that completely focus on providing you with an interactive narrative. I prolly need to start playing more RPGs.

Yeah, Dark Souls doesn't do a very good job at drawing new players in. :p I never played Zelda though. Wish some of those 'old classic' Zelda games were on steam because many people seem to have fond memories of them.

Blame Nintendo for not wanting to share their games.

Video games released in the past decade haven't been too easy or too simple, they've just been generally devoid of anything that should be there to make them challenging; there's usually nothing that has you take a step back and think about how to complete it (save in puzzle games).

If you're up to it, The Witcher Enhanced Edition is some $9.99 (if I recall correctly) on Steam.

Do you like them with custard. Anyway on topic I would have to say is that I like Eurovision a lot. I personally find hardly I hardly know anyone (apart from a few girls) that actually enjoys watching it.
