couldn't agree more. that was whole point of those "overdoing it" topics few weeks ago. We need to send massage to other bronies to keep ponies within their personal space. not to be ashamed of it, but to keep it in personal space, and if it's ok moment, just share little bit of that space with someone. If we like mlp, doesn't mean that someone else will like it. Same thing, imagine that someone is constantly telling you to watch .. idk Dr. House. even dough you are normally neutral about the show, you'll start to dislike it and find it annoying that someone is constantly talk about it, and you may start think that it's whole community is that way and starting disliking people who like Dr. House. yes, you can make bronies, but please people, don't force it down other people's throats.
Ups: Ive become more couragous because ponies allowed me to accept just who I am. Im more approachable as a person because Im so laid back with everything, love and tolerance all the way The music, the music which has heart and soul, the music that put my faith back into artists. A brand new, happier outlook on the world. Who needs fears when theres laughter? This Community, people who know that theres more in the world than material possession, true happiness from within right? And Downs? I can barely concerntrate, I always think about ponies and whilst it isnt affecting me right now, It may distract me from A-Level work, but the net value is positive because now, at last I have something really worth fighting for.
You know that I could just change the comment in my friends list. All it says is "DRD" now. :derpe: Good thing you didn't add my Pony PSN. "TheRainbowDash" Come to Florida and you can probably get some merch. My family already knows, so I'm cool with it. I'll buy a Fluttershy just for you, just because I can, whenever you come to Florida.
You're too kind DRD! Don't worry, I can buy my own Fluttershy when I head over there, I'm not completely broke! XD
:derpe: Good, more monies for me. I need to buy this transparent Rainbow Dash keychain somewhere... I heard that there was some in a toy store in Universal City Walk. :/
Well it's not really called "toy store" Source I'm not sure if I've pasted by this store or seen it at all... I've been to Citywalk for like...alot and I don't remember anything at all. lol.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU! Well that's out of the question...eBay eventually... Your not even nearer than me to the other side of the US. Lol. Anyways come to Florida. :/
The ups: Happiness and Friendship all day, and I met a ton of great bronies, whith similar intrests other than ponies even ^_^ Got a whole bunch of great music and stuff, too. The downs: Hard to convert peeps, most tease a little bit. But I'm getting there... XD Tons of haters. But some people don't mind ponies, too. That sums it up for me. ^_^
↑ The Ups Pinkie Pie, of course. Seriously though, I'd say the community is the biggest thing I like about bronydom. I love the show, but I don't think I'd like it quite as much if it weren't for this community. It's so kind and welcoming. It is also prepared to help anypony in need. It surely doesn't lack creativity; look at all the fanart, fanfics, and pony songs! Eeyup, bronies are awesome. ↓ The Downs We have a lot of haters out there that make ludicrous accusations about us. Due to such, I'm still in the stable, but one day I may slowly reveal my bronydom just to see the reactions I get— mostly from students and anyone in the general public that may see me with a brony shirt on. I don't think I'd ever tell family. I never tell them my personal business anyway, so it's not like it's something exclusive to bronydom.
Ups : Like almost all of you had said, The Comunities, the Images and Fanfics Is so great and joyful to me had met a great show that no only is great, cute, fun, and all the good thinks XD, also that joined (or unit, not sure what word use XD) so many people that are all so friendly, goods and...... everything good that I can think =). Really the people here are closet friends to me. and the Downs: also like the others as said, the haters are bad people, I dont had the bad experience of met haters of MLP, thanks God. But, at the same time, thats my other down: I never had met hater because.... nobody out there in my country know that Im a brony (just my two best friends), not even my family............ Im afraid of make public that Im brony because......................... my family................ Im afraid of how they could react.......... I know my parents, and Im almost sure that, if they know, they gonna try to keep me away of it, quit me my computer, my X-peria,.... and said me that this is not good, that is bad to a man of 20 years see that type of things................... belive, Im almost sure that gonna happen if I tell they. But........ Well is not so bad ......... I just feel a lot......... bad for know that can tell my parents this....... So that are my Ups and Downs XD, a lot long, sorry.
This amazing little girls' show has honestly, in my opinion, brought out the overall most intelligent-acting and generally kind and unhostile souls I've ever seen. Anywhere else, everyone seems to either act like idiots, are generally jerks to you, or both. Friendship is Magic truly is special. c:
Zora, I feel for you. It's hard for me to empathize because I've never been too closed as to how I am (other than initial stranger meetings mostly due to being shy) but it really is hard to have to hide your true self. Nai you couldn't have said it any better. ePONY, I hope you'll be able to show your true self as well eventually (I'm sure you can do it with a Hop, Skip, and a Jump) and yes, this community is awesome. The show has definitely brought together the greatest group of people in the world.
The Ups: The show itself, the community - when I start dreaming about you guys, I know you've infected my life (for the better, of course), the fan contributions from stories to music to drawings. The Downs: That so many of my friends feel they have to hide it. I find this to be the strangest thing. Yes, I know there are haters out there, I've had lots of experience with them. But, from my experience, they only bother you if they see they're bothering you. If you ignore them, they eventually get bored and drop it. Now, that's not the way with all of them, of course, but that's the way it is with lots of them. I don't hide my bronism, but I don't announce it either. At work, I have a uniform to wear, so I can't wear any t-shirts, but I do have a little pendant of Rainbow Dash's cutie mark that I wear under my shirt. I can understand being a little embarrassed that you like a "little girl's cartoon," and afraid of what people will say, but I bet more people will just give a "whatever" than you realize.
I'll take that, thank you very much. :derpe: As for me which I've already said in the post in the previous page. Blah blah, etc... all I do is wear my shirts, nothing else. I don't plan on hiding or showing it off.
Would you like my wife to make you one? Let me get some pictures up, maybe tomorrow (they just called me into work), so you can see what they're like.
I'd like to see pictures of it. I might want one, but then again I can't pay over long distances. Only locally.
I'll post a picture tomorrow, or send you one. And for just the one, we won't charge you for it! Silly filly! Any ways, we're just across the country in Nevada.
So awesome! Can't wait to see pictures and such. I'm looking forward to it, just hit me up whenever you need my details to send it out.
