"I'm very excited," she said distractedly, fixing the top button of his shirt. "I'm sure you'll look beautiful."

 

"Probably," she said with a small huff. "Zad wanted me to go."

 

"I think so."

 

"I'm not sure," she said thoughtfully. "I haven't gone to something this fancy lately."

 

"Will it?"

 

"You can't make promises like that so easily, you know I'm fragile."

 

She frowned, tilting her head back to look at him.

 

She paused, her hand coming up to rest on his jaw in surprise as she kissed him back.

 

She flushed slightly, looking embarrassed.

"...hm."

 

"You don't, uh..." She hesitated, looking flushed still. "You don't normally initiate things, so... I, uh... I don't know how to handle it when you do."
