"I need motivation," she replied, standing up and stumbling for a second, steadying herself against Sariel.
Addie noticed this, rubbing her temples. "Don't be mad at Zad... I asked him to do it." She looked over at Zad, squinting as if staring at a bright light. "You alright, Zad?"
Addie frowned, reaching over and running her fingers through Sariel's hair soothingly. "Don't be like that..."
He seemed tense and protective. Zad spoke quickly and acted quickly. "Adeline, I don't think we should continue our training together. I'll be in my office if you need me." He went to leave.
"Don't be a baby," she replied, her good-humor shining through the fogginess of her mind. "You're just pissed because I almost won."
Sariel seemed hesitant to let her follow. Zad glanced at her. Despite his emotionless face she would be able to sense him disagreeing with her following.
"You're not an *squee!*," she blurted. She seemed quite a bit out of it still and was struggling to put ideas together. "I asked you to do something *squee!*-y and you didn't want to and then I got smacked down - smacked DOWN - and now you feel bad but that's just cause I prodoke..." She paused, frowning for a moment. "Prodoke. Prodokeprodokeprodoke. PROVOKE." She refocused, looking over at him. "I provoked you. Don't feel bad about it, okay?"
"Get all mad at him," she said vaguely, waving a hand. "He didn't mean to." She paused before frowning. "Is Warner around?"
