The Upside Down (For Eluuna)

She kissed him again on the lips, her hands cupping his jaw.

“I do love you.0

 

She pulled his shirt collar down to kiss over his scars gently, her hand still cupping his jaw.

 

She paused for a moment, giving him a few more kisses before finding his mouth and kissing him one last time. She got off him and sat on the edge of the bed, looking down at him.

"You use the word 'lovely' a lot," she said curiously. "Was that a more common word back when you were alive?"

 

She softened, reaching down to run her fingers through his hair.

"You're sweet."

 

She blinked thoughtfully, watching him adoringly.

"I love you too, babe."

 

She blushed slightly under his gaze, lying down next to him and wrapping her arms around his waist.

"I want you to come back to Earth with me."

 

"Would you?" she asked after a moment. "Would you really? You have a life here."

 

She laughed slightly, sounding melancholy.

"You don't really know me, Warns. Not too well."

 

"I mean... I've only been in Inferno for a couple of weeks. That's not enough time to pledge an existence to someone, you know?"

 

She had to laugh, cupping his neck in her hands.

“Just a lifetime? That’s an awfully long time.”
