Her eyes widened and she looked around frantically. "You're joking. This is a joke. I have a family, Warner. I'm not dead. This... this is a dream, right?"
The dove towards the buildings, moving swiftly before pulling and landing in front of a building that looked like a large school, the design intricate and roof round. "How do you not remember. You're supposed to remember." He frowned. "What's the last thing you recall?"
She frowned, her brow furrowing. "I... I don't know. I can't remember much before waking up in that place."
He looked to be in thought, his brows furrowing as he scratched a spot on his chest. "This has never happened to me before," he replied. "I.. I think we might have a situation."
"Well.. You should have remembered what happened to you. Or why you're here. But that doesn't seem to be the case." He frowned, adjusting his things before turning towards the building. "I think I know someone you can talk to."
He nodded, slipping off. "Right." He gestured to the building. "This is a school of sorts. It's mostly a place for hobbyists to do what they want to do. It's one of the first places we take people because they have all the time in the world to learn."
"This isn't Heaven. I mean.. It exists but this certainly isn't Hell. Nobody goes to Heaven, really. It's kinda like all the people in charge only."
She stared at him, one dark brow raising skeptically. "Okay," she decided after a moment. "You're gonna have to give me a rundown of this place."
"This is the place for the general people, I suppose. It has its ups and downs and demons and angels of sorts. Over time you conform and just get lost in the drift. That even includes appearance, so don't be alarmed if you find some peculiar figures."
"Are you dead?" she asked, raising one eyebrow as she considered him. "Do we come here as demons and angels?"
"How long have you been dead? How did you die?" she asked, tipping her head back to look at the space they were in.
