Her eyes opened and for a moment, he would see that darkness in them, blackness seeping through the tiny blood vessels in her eyes. It was gone in an instant though and she considered the void in front of her calmly.
She didn't respond, watching the void with something of fascination in her eyes. Darkness still leaked from her fingertips as she worked.
She didn't even blink, clearly too lost in her brain. "I went down, Zad... I don't... I don't think I should've done that..."
He would be struck by the influx of the magic streaming out of her; it was strong and vicious and beat back against him furiously.
After a few moments, the magic diminished and Addie swayed weakly, her gaze losing its intensity as she broke, dropping her hands and falling against him for support. She seemed embarrassed by this, straightening up as best she could but staggering again. "What... what was that?"
"You did?" she asked, sounding bewildered as she staggered back again, leaning back against the wall. "I don't remember that."
She nodded slowly, leaning back against the wall. "I'm sorry... I thought that was where I was supposed to go..."
