She fell silent before sitting up. Her eyes were slightly red-rimmed and the tip of her nose was pink. "Can I do yours, now?"
Her fingers traced his spine slowly before she moved along his skin, pressing down on points and smoothing out knots carefully and systematically. It was clear she had done this before.
She took a deep breath at his words, closing her eyes for a moment before leaning down and kissing his spine gently. "I love you too."
She continued to massage him slowly, pressing her thumb gently into sore spots and relieving tension all across his back, pausing occasionally to trace circles in his back and plant small kisses in them.
"Are you okay?" she murmured after a while, leaning forward to kiss his cheek. "This isn't hurting at all, is it?"
She nodded, retreating to continue her work slowly, at this point mostly just rubbing small circles in his back. "I should probably go practice," she said after a while.
There were tears on her face as he looked back, but she wiped them away hastily as he turned to look, avoiding his gaze.
"It's... it's nothing," she protested, shaking her head slightly as more tears fell down her cheeks. "I just... I really gotta go practice, okay?"
