He turned to her general vicinity. "Well.. Things aren't how they used to be. The leader of up there, Saint Michael, has become rather corrupt over the years.. The Archangels are under his command and the angels slave away to his whims. He doesn't want it to be an equal rule between this place and up there.. He wants it all. He is planning something. Something big."
She hesitated before looking around the room. "I'm going to take the stuff off your eyes, okay? Just... don't scratch at them. It'll be nice for you to be able to see."
"I'm better now," he said, his voice quiet. "They had almost got me. Their touch gives you horrible visions. They had grabbed my arm before I managed to get away.
He sat obediently. "The Archangels. I had gotten past them, but once I opened the portal to get here they grabbed me."
She took a deep breath as she pulled the last binding over his eyes away. "Well, you're safe now. I think, anyway. Do you... I don't know. Do angels sleep?"
His were reminiscent of ice. They were rather striking and looked somewhat fearful. However, around his eyes there were scratches, the red contrasting with the light color. "We do."
She squinted for a moment, her green eyes meeting his. There was a pause before she gave him a small smile, setting the bindings down. "Well, you should sleep for a while, okay? Try and get some rest. You're safe."
He nodded uncertainly, standing slowly. "If you say so." He paused, his expression becoming nervous. "But you must go. The longer we wait the worse it will be."
"You have a long road ahead of you. However, if you succeed in this you will be able to see your sister again. But.. It won't be easy. You'll have to defeat Michael."
He glanced back at his wings. "We don't know. That's just what the universe decided, but.. You have to do it."
He seemed insistent, taking one of her wrists in his hand. His touch was odd; strangely pleasant, neither too warm or too cold. "You have to do this or something terrible will ensue."
She raised an eyebrow, looking amused and a little annoyed. "Yes, I got that, Starchild. I don't have to like it, though."
