She laughed slightly, looking a little confused. She paused before looking down at her hands, focusing with a furrowed brow.
She blinked, looking surprised. "Wow. That was much faster. That, or you make me really nervous and I just started sweating a ton."
"This..." She looked down at her hand and studied it. Her hand started shaking and she dropped the water, looking stricken. "Oh my God. Oh my God, Warner. I'm supposed to fight a god damn Archangel? Oh my God. What have I done?"
He tilted his head, looking concerned and confused. "Addy, none of this is your fault.. I mean.. You wouldn't have been chosen if it were impossible."
"I can't do this, Warner," she said, sounding panicked. "I was alive, like 30 seconds ago. I can't do this. I can't do this."
"Yes you can, Adeline," he said slowly, resting a hand on her shoulder. "And you wont be alone. Zad and I will be there to help you.. and even that angel boy, maybe."
She looked up at him, her eyes wide and darting around his face, desperate for reassurance. "Warner! I can just make my hands incredibly sweaty! What can that do against an all-powerful being?"
She took a deep breath, looking back down at the ground. "God. This is crazy. Okay. Okay. What elements' next?"
"Zad should teach you. He's the one who does that stuff. Not me. I'm sure he'd be happy to after you're done at the palace.
