She frowned, looking over at Sariel. "I'm sorry. I don't think there's anything I can do. I can wrap them in, like, a cold cloth or something to reduce soreness? Would that help?"
"No need to apologize," he said, trying to brighten the atmosphere. "It'll grow back quickly. Our blood has healing properties so it won't last as long as normal birds.
"It's alright," she said with a shrug. "I'm not very good at it. I'm much slower than I'd like. I don't feel like I'm doing any valuable work so far."
