Sariel was still standing nervously by the door, wings folded tightly against his back. Zad looked over at her. "Why?"
She squinted at Zad before coming over and extending a hand to Sariel. "Because he's an angel and you're a demon, but you're on the same side, so you need to be friends."
"Oh? Then why are you standing in the corner looking freaked out? Is it his nails? I had a similar reaction," she said, leading Sariel over to Zad before going to make tea.
"Well, you're going to have to get over that," she said, bringing a mug of tea over to Zad. "He's easy enough. At least he isn't trying to kill you within the first hour of knowing him."
