"Huh? Oh, that... it's... it's personal..." Dusk said, reliving his horrifying past. "Stay out of my head..." He growled to himself.
Vergil scouted the West side of Ponyville with binoculars. Few zombies, but the area was completely wrecked. "Something doesn't add up."
"No... it's just... I used to do that to my wife... before she was killed... every morning, before I became the monster I am now, I'd kiss her, and say, 'For luck'..." Dusk wiped tears from his eyes, "I guess you all bring back those memories..." He said softly.
"I doubt your a monster, & many ponies have old habits from the past.", Bryz said, trying to cheer dusk up, & showing a faint smile
"Thanks Bryz... I really mean it..." Dusk said, smiling sadly. They were at the ground level of the silo, and Dusk opened a hatch, leading the way in. "Grab an EVA suit, there's high levels of radiation in there," Dusk ordered with a fatherly tone.
Dusk waited for the rest to put their suits on, and led the way, cautiously. They came to a massive chamber, where a missile should be, but instead, there was a giant, black, obelisk. Dusk stopped dead in his tracks, staring at it. "No..." He whispered, just loud enough for Bryz, the closest to him, to hear.
"I-it can't be! I destroyed the last of those things!" Dusk said, shocked. He almost got shocked by Bryz, but he stopped a few steps ahead.
Dusk looked at Bryz; a haunted, terrified, and even a little deranged expression was plastered on his face ce. "They're Ponykind's greatest accomplishment, yet biggest mistake. This one's called an Obelisk." Dusk stared into Bryz's eyes, "Those zombie ponies are the least of our worries... until it activates..." He ran to a console, "Here!" He hit a button and the statue activated. "Ah, buck!" The Obelisk shot a red beam through the open missile silo. Then the whole facility began to crumble. A chunk of rubble landed on, and crushed Bryz's wing, pinning her to the floor as they ran. Dusk turned back, and grabbed her. "I told you, I'm not leaving anypony behind!'
"Thank you", Bryz said shyly, while smiling, pulled herself from under the chunk, then started to run again.
Charlie notice the red beam and instantly she closes the entrance and stayed close to Yuri. "Ok just breathe everyone is alright." she repeated to herself as she paced. Yuri, who was watching Charlie pace made her stop and sit down. "You need to breath Charlie."
Charles held on Yuri making sure she doesn't loose her. They made it over to Dusk and Bryz not easily though. Charlie's leg was still broken and it only made it hurt worst when she ran.
Bryz flaps her left wing,"gah! Looks like I'm not gonna use that for a while. Hey Charlie, yuri, how are the both of you?"
