Dusk helped dust her off, and scraped off some of the pus-goo. Dusk motioned for the others to follow him and they came across an old, partially destroyed, Equestrian Airship.
"Bryz, what your looking at is the pride of the Canterlot fleet, the SS Junkball," Dusk laughed, and headed towards it.
They all took refuge in the giant ship. Parts of it were still functional, and they found the armory and medical decks. "D-dad? My leg... it hurts..." Yuri said worriedly. Dusk took a look at her leg, and pure hatred, mixed with crushing despair, filled his heart. "No..." He said, "No... she couldn't have been bitten..." Dusk sat there, and cried. Yuri was his only family left, and now, she too was going to die.
Charlie was stone cold when she saw Yuri's leg, "But she was right beside me the whole time.. There's no way." She walked up cautiously to Dusk, "I swear she was safe with me the whole time."
Dusk looked up at Charlie and Bryz, hatred burning in his eyes. "No... I-I'm sorry... it's not your fault. Either of you...." Dusk wrapped his arms around his daughter tightly, and held her tightly. "Nopony's going to hurt you... I promise..."
Dusk's eyes went wide, and he held up his revolver, aiming right for Charlie. He fired, and something dropped to the ground, dead, behind them. "Y-yes... go ahead..." He whispered, dragging the zombie away. In the hall, the two could hear him cursing, and beating the zombie furiously. He was cursing at himself.
Charlie yelped at the ring of the gun and ducked, covering her head with her hooves. "W-what just happened?" she asked Bryz.
Dusk came back in a moment later, covered in blood. He looked lost, like he wasn't himself anymore. Dusk walked over to the darkest corner of the room, farthest from them, and laid there. Charlie and Bryz could hear soft crying. Yuri slowly approached Charlie, and hugged her. Them she tried to do the same to Bryz, but tripped and kissed her instead, purely out of luck. "I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to, honest!" She whimpered, looking down.
Yuri sat there, scared, as the two examined her bite mark, and flinched visibly each time they touched it. "I-I don't feel so good..." She said, eyes fluttering.
Dusk was beside them, and waiting. "Get back..." He ordered, crouching in front of Yuri. "D-dad? What're you doing?" She asked, then Dusk did the unthinkable. He bit into her leg, and stayed there. "Ahh! Daddy!?" Yuri screamed. He slumped back, exhausted, "Th-there... now it should be gone..." Dusk said tiredly. His mouth was dripping in blood now, making him look like a zombie himself.
Charlie jumped away from Dusk mostly surprised with what she just witnessed. She stayed a ways back watching ever so carefully.
