"Sorry... I didn't know I was so heavy..." Yuri apologized when she saw Charlie's struggling, even though there was no way her fragile form could have ever been any heavier than a filly. A heavy cargo chopper impacted the ground next to them, nearly beheading the pair, had it not been for a ruined wall. "Th-the whole world is a nightmare now..." Yuri whispered. Then they heard disturbing, nightmarish moans rising up from Ponyville's ruins. A lone stallion shuffled its way towards them, but it looked... lifeless... its eyes showed a cunning and deadly intelligence, a dangerous trait that it displayed when it saw them. "W-we gotta go, now!" Yuri begged.
Charlie looked to the shopper unsure if it was safe but as the lone stallion came close she had no chose. "Get in the chopper." (Terminator reference!) Charlie limped faster, wincing at each step but finally made it in. The chopper lifted off just in time
The pilot turned around and took off his helmet. It was Dusk. He set the chopper on auto-pilot and got up. He raised a hoof, as if he was going to hit Yuri, but hugged them both instead. "I'm so glad you're both safe... Thank you for saving my daughter, Charlie..." Dusk's eyes were filling with tears, and they spilled down his cheeks.
Bryz took the locker supplies, and went around helping ponies, & bringing them to the desired destination
Dusk took her over to the side while Yuri tried to get some rest, "No... not biologically... I found her all alone in a house... after I was sent in to kill groups of terrorists. She was a gift to my girlfriend... my... dead... girlfriend... she always wanted a daughter..." He put an arm around Charlie, and looked deep into her eyes, "Would you mind looking after her? I'm just gonna be busy with all the survivors and injured civvies. Please?" Dusk wiped some dirt off her face, and smiled.
Dusk hugged her lovingly, "Thanks. Use my quarters, please. It's the nicest, and Yuri is already living in there, so..." Dusk let his voice trail off as he released Charlie from the hug.
What's this? Esy woke up lying on the floor behind a ammo crate. He stood up and looked around, "Where is everpony?"
Bryz flies next esy,and says, loudly,"Hey, you, you need to get to the lower levels of the base, stat!"
Their chopper exploded about four miles from the compound, and it spiraled downwards into the forest. The culprit roared past, firing missiles at them. Then ground troops dressed in Elite Canterlot armor came in, guns blazing. After taking cover, Dusk commed Esy and Bryz, "Esy! Bryz! We got hostiles all over! I need a medic and a pilot, now! I have two injured, and need immediate evac! Do you copy? I repeat: I need immediate evac, Yuri and Charlie are hurt bad!!!" Another rocket exploded just a few feet from Yuri. "Damn... sorry you two, I'm out of ammo..." Dusk said, drawing his knife.
Bryz hears the distress call, & replies,"I can do the medic part, I'm on my way", Bryz then ran in the direction of the crash with the medical supplies.
Bryz flies in, body slamming a hostile, making them get shocked, then flew up to the harmed allies, & got to work healing
"Bryz! Oh thank god you're here! Don't worry about me, just fix up these two and get 'em back to my quarters, alright? Esy? How are things looking? Are the Canterlot forces still coming?" Dusk barked orders and took a few pot-shots at an enemy, after snatching a few clips. He hit three, wounded one and killed the others, and went in with his combat knife. He jumped on the enemy soldier and tore off its mask... and saw the one inside was just a filly. "What the-?" Dusk said confusedly.
Charlie stood clumsily with no weight on her back leg, "So sorry for getting hurt." she said. She just stood un sure what exactly to do in this situation.
"Charlie, lie down, I need you to stay still.", Bryz directed, while bandaging charlie, then said,"I might beable to take some down with a nice tap of the hoof"
