"I did not see that much. as the faces of the stallions were covered up. Also the insignia's on there body were hidden away".
"I tore the helmet off one,... it was a Canterlot soldier... but why would they attack us?" Dusk tuned his comm to the Royal Kingdom's frequency, "Why'd you send guys to attack us!? I had fellow soldiers and innocent civilians with me! Da****!" Dusk bucked a body viciously, "Damn you Celestia! Damn you to the Eternal Night!" Dusk yelled, hitting the body furiously.
Charlie helped Yuri out from the crate and moved towards the raging Dusk. "Umm is everythIng ok?" she asked.
Dusk turned towards her angrily, but his visage softened when he saw her, "Did you have anyone close in Canterlot? Ponyville?" He asked, sidestepping her question. He moved closer to her, so they could speak privately.
"Umm no.. I don't think so." Charlie thought back but couldn't remember anypony, the only pony she though of was in Trottingham visiting his family.
Dusk suddenly got a signal on his comm. "Yeah, what?" He asked harshly. Then his eyes went wide, and before he could tell Charlie anything, massive explosions, 3 million that of the Atom Bomb, erupted all over the horizon. Even the base was hit. "It's a worldwide fallout..." Dusk whispered. He could almost hear the screams of ponies as their lives were gruesomely ended. He turned to the mare next to him, "Charlie... I'm so sorry... I've lost contact with all my teams... Trottingham was hit bad, and the city itself is gone. Manehattan's fallen as well..." Dusk hugged her and went to tell the others. Yuri approached Charlie and sat with her, trying to comfort her in some way.
Dusk yanked Charlie and Yuri behind the door, and just before he got behind it, something rips through the back of his neck. "Augh! G-go! Just go!" Just then, thousands of TAA's (Tactical Assault Airships- Aircraft Carrier-sized behemoths, and are basically indestructible. The outer shell is charged with a lethal energy charge that can kill just about anything in less than a second, should they touch it.) rose from the wreckage, and began raining lead storms on them. "Get to shelter! Now!" Dusk screamed as he and Bryz ripped off the chopper door, to use as an umbrella.
Bryz, while still holding the door, pulls out a bandage, & places it on dusk,"that should help a little."
"Th-thanks Bryz, you're one-of-a-kind." Dusk said softly, and herded his survivors into a small cave. "Seal the entrance, so we can get some rest." Dusk began piling rocks behind the metal door, fortifying it.
When they finished Dusk collapsed from exhaustion and his wounds, despite Bryz's medicinal skill. "D-dad!" Yuri screamed, running to his side. "Bryz, is he going to be alright?" She was crying now, "I can't lose him too..." She said softly.
Esy was sitting down a small distance from the others, he looked around as he started to spin his Desert Eagle on his hoof.
Yuri kissed her father on the cheek, then nuzzled Bryz's mane. "Thanks for everything, Bryz... just... thanks..."
Charlie stood in silence still, her eyes huge with fear and sadness. She finally spoke "I.." was all she said.
Dusk's eyes shot open, and he slowly got up. When he spotted Charlie, he hobbled over to her, "Charlie? What's the matter?" He seemed to have forgotten what he said earlier.
Charlie scanned what was a head of her searching for any sign of hope. "My whole family lives in Trottingham.." she spoke in a whispered.
Dusk's eyes went wide, and his lip quivered. Suddenly he got another transmission, "Charlie! It's from my Trottingham team! Maybe they found survivors! Maybe they found your family!" Dusk sat next to her, and everyone crowded around the holographic display. Sir! We've got survivors! They're wanting to come to the Ponyville Outpost, are we clear to go? Just then several TAA's arrived and blasted the survivor team to bits. A face Charlie recognized lay on the ground, staring into the cam. Then her brains were splattered all over it. "So, you thought you and your pitiful band of thugs could save the world did you? Too late, you bucking twit! Now everyone's going to die... prepare for executions. 3...2...1... Fire!" Moments later, the surviving members of Charlie's family were gunned down in cold blood. "I know you're watching this, Miss Charlie... and I see to it that everything you know and love is burned to the ground."
