Total Darkness

"Umm, I have a journal I don't use if you want that, but I don't think anypony took it."

 

"Oh really? Thanks Knight!" Charlie took a small sip before pouring the rest on the sand. Then looked up to Esy "I can help look for it if you would like!"

 

"Was just sketches, drawings and, err, notes. Would be really kind if any of you could help me find it, as it is really important to me". Esy said looking at Knight and Charlie.

 

"Gotcha", knight says as he puts away the journal

(I gtg to school, be back in 7.5 hours.)

 

Charlie walked away from her castle and waited for Esy to land again. "Where did u have it last?"

 

Esy looked over at charlie. "In my backpack, i have everything 'cept my notebook"

 

"Let me see if you dropped it somewhere..." Dune offered. He closed his eyes. "Nope.

 

"Umm... hmm." Charlie jumped into a boulder that was just low enough for her to hop up on. "I wish I had wing.." she scanned the tree tops for the scorched ones then pointed, "is it maybe over there?"

 

Dune walked into the ruin. "It's a notebook...unless he wrote dark secrets in it it's an expendable objective. I don't think we have time to spend right now." Dune stated firmly.

 

"Hmm, i guess I just have to forget about it" Esy said.

"If I'm being too insensitive, speak up..." Dune trailed.

 

"Was some personal stuff in there, i guess it doesen't matter anymore" Esy told Knight

 

Charlie hopped off the boulder and trotted straight into the forest. She came back moments later with not one it two notebooks. One was old and raggedy and the older looked fairly new with a large N.M.M on the front. "One of these?"

 

"Might be, let me have look" Esy said.

(Does N.M.M stand for anything?)

 

(Not yet.)

Charlie slid the books forward towards Esy and waited. "I found one in a tree in an old owls nest and the other in a thing of leaves."

 

Dune's eyes widened, and he was unable to speak upon the sight of the second notebook, although he tried, but eventually began to slowly back away from Esy and the notebook.

 

"Hmm" Esy took a look at the book labeled N.M.M. "This is the one!" Esy smiled at Charlie, giving her a hug.

 

Charlie noticed Dune backing up and she wondered why. She gave Esy a hug to then gathered the first notebook then started to read it.

 

"Th-that's yours? You're sure?" Dune asked, paranoid.

 

"I've had this book for years, using it to write and draw in" Esy told Dune
