"I won't get hurt." she argued. "The only way I will be if you do this alone." Charlie stood her ground
Dune kissed Charlie's head. "Okay...but I'm on the front line. You gotta stay at least behind me." He said. "Charlie. I love you." He reminded her.
"Fine, since ur as stubborn as a mule." she didn't like the idea of staying behind but she could start an argument now. "Just stay safe ok?"
He walked over to Knight. "Thanks. Never would have considered. Good to know you got my back. Here." Dune said, handing Knight a necklace with his own cutie mark carved into a metal circle. "It's lucky." He said. He walked back. "Yes...now are you going to return some sort of affection or do I have to tell you you can fight beside me first?" Dune asked Charlie
"Thanks.", knight says, smiling at dune, & putting the necklace on, & tucking it under his chainmail.
"Then do it. You too Knight. But don't be afraid to let me take hits for you. I have sand armor. I can block explosions of cities subconsciously. I am impenetrable. You two are a bit like a family to me. I won't let either of you fall." Dune said, resolve strong.
Charlie smiled pleased with the win and kissed Dune's cheek. "Good then it's settled! Now let's get going." Charlie put all her stuff in her bag and began to walk down the path to the small town down the hill. She passed an apple tree and tried to grabbed an apple was to small to even touch the lowest apple.
Dune punched the tree with a sand arm, causing it to shed all of It's apples. "Dumb tree." He spat, picking up apples with a very shaky levitation spell and putting them in Charlie's bag. "I only really know my sand control spells..." He explained.
"I wouldn't worry, levitating stuff is so overated anyways." she winks and giggled. She took a bite of an apple and hummed one of her piano pieces happily.
"I love the music you play depending on your emotions...it's so...mesmerizing." Dune said. He turned to Knight. "And your family kicks and saves butt at the same time!" He said. "Only lame pony here is me." He said.
"Umm I highly disagree with that. You control sand for crying out loud, and all I do is make music like so many other ponies." Charlie finished her apple and threw away the core in a trash bin as they entered the town.
