"I never said anything about not working as a team, i just wanna be the one to finish him.", knight said, calming down a bit
"WE are all going to take the last blow, WE are doing this as a team there is no I in this." Charlie snapped at Knight then turned to the others., "I don't want to hear anymore of it got it?"
"I'll hold him for you. Shouldn't be hard. I'm more powerful than everything this dragon has killed combined." Dune said, not realizing his error.
"That's it I quit!" she shoved everypony towards the dragon and when they came to the sleeping monster she through her bag down with the elements "There! Enjoy your 'me' time." and stormed out. "Bunch of self.." her voice faded as she moved farther away.
To late, Charlie was already at the mouth of the cave and didn't hear Dune. She stopped and took a deep breath trying to calm her rage. She sat and watched the night sky murmuring things under breathe.
Dune was within earshot of Charlie. He could see her. She would be angry if she saw he had left the group. He didn't care, but he stayed quiet so she wouldn't see him.
Charlie closed her eyes with anger but opened them again with sadness. Her green eyes scanned the starry night looking for a miracle to happen. She looked back into the cage, wondering if she should go back in. Instead she laid in the entrance of the cave and counted the stars.
A single tear rolled off Dune's face. He sniffled and froze momentarily before diving behind a rock. "Buck." He whispered.
Charlie heard a noise and at first didn't care then she heard a faint voice, "Hello?" she said, her voice echoing in the cave. She stood again and watched the entrance for any movement.
"I thought you would be with the others." she spoke in almost a whisper. She laid back down bring her legs in and leaning against the cold cave wall. "Don't you want you piece of the victory?" Charlie closed her eyes again but still listened.
"Not as much as I want you. Not like...uh...please tell me you know what I mean. I care more about you than striking with my hatred against a dragon. And expressing that is more important to me than bringing pain. So no. I don't." Dune said, walking over and laying by Charlie.
Charlie opened an eye looking at Dune then closed it again. "Well i guess it really is just Knight killing it.. Can't wait till this is all over."
