Orangebolt saw a beam of magic fly right past him. It was heading at Twister. "I better get out of here before things get messy." He thought, speeding up his pace. He could see the end of the soggy caves.
Twister had just made it out of the caves and could see the cliff up ahead. He was getting worried about Orangebolt catching up to him but he kept up his speed. After narrowly escaping collision with some sneakily hidden obstacles Twister had reached the top of the cliff. He really quickly looked behing him and saw Orangebolt was getting closer. He jumped of the cliff and held his wings in so gravity would do it's work. Right before he hit the ground he took a quick turn and was now going at an unbelievable speed. He thought to himself, "I bet I can catch up to Dark if I keep going this fast."
Orangebolt was right behind Twister. He ran up the cliff, took a breath, held it, and jumped off. He could see Twister land in the water below and make a large splash. He came soon afterward. SPLASH! Remembering Chris' comment about the Sharks, he swam as fast as he could to the shore.
Jaden, (who was curiously AT SCHOOL,) charged up her horn. She duplicated the quick treleportation spell, she had seen another pony do, and suddenly, she screamed. A dark scream made all their bones quake, and worse, their minds started seeing things. For Twister, she saw herself, beaten down, with everypony making fun of her, jeering at her, having no pride at all. Orange saw his wings being cut off, and being incinerated. Chris sees a horn, his horn, being hacked off with a saw, and used as a toothpick. Dark sees her best friend?, screaming for help in utter agony, as Dark herself is trapped, too far away to help him/her. Fireheart sees her family getting killed before her eyes. (Slightly like Dark's) With that, Jaden starts running. She has strong legs, and she is fast.
(Eluuna, Dark doesn't have parents. She was formed, not born) Dark flung past Twister just as he started diving, but all that Twister saw was a black and red streak fly by with a few droplets of water landing on him. Dark was flung nearly twice the height of the cliff into the air, and was flung back all the way to the water side landing strip, where Chris saw a black streak slam next to him, and a hoof held slightly up showing droplets of water from the cliff dive.
(@Eluuna Twister is a guy BTW) Twister looked behind him and saw Orangebolt swimming behind him. "Seeya sucka!" Orangebolt shouted as he made his way to the finish line. "Aw ya! I won!"
Orangebolt had JUST made it to the shore and was taking a little time to dry himself off when he fell to the ground. "OH CELESTIA! IT HURTS!" He yelled in agony "No, it's not real, but it feels so real..." He thought, trying to make sense of what's going on.
Jaden climbed out of the water, trembling. She ran past Orangebolt, murmuring. "I'm sorry...." she said, truly meaning it, but going on. She had to.
The illusion had just stopped. He saw the finish line right in front of him, With almost everypony behind it. He walked up to it and looked at Twister. "I'm not going to lie, you did have some pretty good flying there. I'd be glad to call you my rival!" He said. "So, Chris, who's still not here?" He asked.
Twister, who was chilling at the finish line, looked over at the two other ponies and thought, "Why didn't they just use their magic or wings to cross the water?"
(Twister, I think Caberea has to decide who wins. Otherwise, I could just say that I teleported to the finish line.) Jaden walked over to Orange. "Hey, I'm sorry about that." she said, in a quiet, intelligent voice. She looked truly sorry, and she kicked at the ground sheepishly.
"It's ok, I bet you were just trying to do a teleporting spell or something." Orangebolt said. "I'm going to have nightmares about that for a while." He thought, laughing a little on the inside.
Jaden looked concerned. "I didn't mean to make it so vivid. I... hate my special talent." she turned to reveal a image of a drop of blood on her flank.
"How does somepony that seems so nice like you get a Drop of Blood for a cutie mark?" Orangebolt asked, amazed.
"One more teleportation spell and.... Done". Fire heart stepped across the finish line but noticed orange and rifter already there. "I could of known the pegasi would win. Great job though". She smiled offering her hoof.
Jaden looked up as Fire Heart came in. She stepped back to let her congratulate the other ponies. Sitting down, she looked across the landscape, and looked out into the water. She walked over to the edge of the shore, and stared out into the murky green water.
