"Well, we can't be sure no matter which one we go into, so, I suggest we just sit down, be quiet for a little bit and listen for anything out of the ordinary." Midnight suggested.
Haze walked a little away from the group, backing off towards the opposite corner. She slid down the wall, onto her bum and thought... Maybe the memory loss was due to some kind of head trauma, or drug? It was unlikely- the probability of either of these things wiping out everything but some fragments of the sufferer's memory, and leaving pretty much the same kind of memories in each and every one of them was low... Though Haze's no medical expert, she'd heard of a drug called metyrapone, but again, it was unlikely- The symptoms just did not match well... Haze shook her head, bringing herself out of thought, and began concentrating on looking around the room, for something that perhaps hinted the direction they should go in. There must be something...
"But w-what if it's a trap?" Haze thought a second. "Maybe we should split up into two groups- That way, if one group falls into trouble such as a trap, another group can help out. It might be safer?"
Cloud thought for a moment. "OK, Mystic, Brave, Digi, Robin, and Star, you stay out here. The rest of you, let's go." Morrow went to the door and peered in. "Oh my Celestia!" she said, and stumbled into the room. A pony with a surgical mask lay dead in a pool of blood. (I'll spare the details.)
Jade looked at the body. She sat down with a thump, and started hyperventilating. "What the hay is going on here?" she gasped between tears.
Midnight saw what the sight was doing to Jade, so he took a deep breath, stepped into the room, and dragged Jade out of the room, muttering things like, "It'll be fine, we'll get out of here, that was just done to mess with us, (Etc.)"
Jade wiped her eyes. "You're right. " Her eyes widened slightly. "There were no doors in there, except the one we came in. The murdurer is still in there."
Haze felt something die inside her- She'd tho9ught she could be backup... :ahh: She was atleast conforted by the fact that there would be backup, though. "O-Okay... Let's go."
Mystic waited for the other ponies to move so she could follow them and feel safe, she just wanted to get out of here. She hoped that there wouldn't be anything much worse then this but the unexpected will be right around the corner. She waits for the older ponies to make their next move....
"That...That would be best." Midnight agreed with Haze, "But which way do we go, one wrong turn and we're vulture food."
The ponies came out of the room, and shut the door quietly. Morrow's eyes were wide, and she was silent. Brave walked over to the little filly, and stood protectively near her.
Haze followed, a little unsteady on her hooves- They were shaking slightly, making them a little more difficult to control. Nonetheless, she tread in silently, stealthy as a fox and alert as an eagle. She followed the others, scanning the corners for any sign of hostile life.
