*He took a look around him a bit, before looking back at Blissy and nodded her assuredly before a aura of shimmering blue energy surrounded his horn and started to slowly sweep his immediate area with by turning his head from left to right, while keeping his eyes closed to better sense if there was magic at work. After several seconds of silent concentration and waving his horn, he opened his eyes again and looked at his friends with a mixed expression of both serious and unsure* Your suspicions were correct, miss Bliss. This fog is not naturally created. I don't where it came from, but I do know that this fog is indeed magically powered since I can sense high levels of magical energies flowing around us in every direction. *He turned his attention from the others and began trotting at the bow of the ship. Once there he squinted his eyes to scan the thick fog around them in order if he could see something through it, but all in vain. The fog was too strong for him to see anything farther than beyond his nose and stepped down from the railing he was hanging to, before trotting back to the others with face that looked like he had a plan* I don't know if it would help, but if this fog is really is powered by magic, I think I could try to use my magic disruption ability to clear up this fog around us.
I guess you can try Polly... *she nodded to him, feeling a bit apperhensive as to why anypony would make a magical fog out here in the ocean. But she could see everypony were apprehensive about what was happening, and decided now wasn't the time to ruin the trip with worry.* Do what you can bro *she nuzzled the brown stallion's cheek then turned to the others.* I'll be right back fellas, just going to take a shower and groom my mane. Soon as i'm done I'll try to cook up some breakfast for you all. How does Banana Pancakes with syrup sound?
*He shakes his head and keeps squinting out, feeling more uneasy by the second, his hairs were standing on end a little, without looking at Bliss he said*Perhaps it's best I stay out here... Could try and clear this fog the good old fashion way, besides im not exactly hungry after eating that giant sundae last night with you *He smiles a little and keeps fidgeting with agitation, his growling stomach betraying the lie he just told, he felt very on edge and didn't want to be caught off guard if something was going to happen, he continues on* I could try flying above the fog to see whats happening... but then the problem is finding the boat again*He scratches his chin, feeling unsure what to do, he was used to fighting enemies up front not waiting for something to happen, the fog spooked him alot and he trotted on the spot a few times nervously*
Volt looked at Skylar "well that's a good idea skilar... you could fly over the fog, then i would send some lightings toward the sky with my equipment, so you can find back the boat... Seth can help me dragging here that coil that is in my bedroom... it would act a light spot for you... beside." Volt looked at Blissy "yeah.. i .. i am good to i will skip the breakfast for today.. this fog doesn't convince me at all!"
*He nodded to the white mare, as she left deck and went back down inside to get her shower and do other tasks, before he trotted to the center of the bow and slammed all his four hooves to the ground firmly and after a little bit of concentration, his horn began glowing with a malevolent green glow, that slowly began creating a slowly expanding black aura with equally sickly green sparks flying violently from it to all directions. Just before the sphere of pure negative magic was about to get any larger, he unleashed the charged dark beam straight up into the sky and once it cutted through the fog, it immediately exploded into a wave of black energy that kept expanding into all directions and clearing a short area below around the boat it from the impenetrable fog. Heaving a bit from such a powerful blast of energy he had just dispensed from his horn, he slowly opened his eyes to witness that his magic has done the trick, but before he could say anything positive, the fog rapidly materialized around them again even thicker as if the spell had no effect to it at all* What the...?
*She had just started the warm shower and levitated some spring pear shower gel when she saw the familiar green and black magical aura of Polaris' envolope around the ship. She poked her head out eyes glistened with the majesty of his power...and a linger of doubt caved in wondering if she'd ever get as good as he was with magic. The fog seemed to disperse from his first attempt.* Way to go Polaris! You did it- *suddenly she watched as the fog rematarilzed around the ship, blocking her view of the water completely as well as the sky* But... I though Polaris' magic could stop any magic? What's going on here...? *she pulled her head back and closed the window* Now now Blissy calm down... the guys got this...if all else we'll be through this within a few hours... Just get in the shower, wash up and make those pancakes for them. I'm sure they are starving. *She took more then 10mins which was unsual for her since she's so used to washing in shorter sessions, but she felt compelled to hurry and make breakfast for the stallions and wolf, knowing they were probalby hard at work to figure out the issues with the fog.* *She fluttered out of the shower, the steam poured out since she liked it hot. It annoyingly fogged up the mirror as she tried to blow dry her hair, levitating the drier up with one point of magic while brushing her mane in another levitation.* I'm starting to get the hang of this! *she focused her levitation as her mane dried and straighten out, displaying her rainbow highlights perfectly. Once done and she hanged up her towels and straighten the bathroom up. She trotted passed NightStrike's room, and tapped on his door.* NightStrike? You awake? The others are out on the deck, there's something odd going on outside, that I think Polaris could need your help magic wise. I'm going to make some banana pancakes. I'll see you all later in the kitchen! *Trotting back into the yact hallway, she pushed her head through the kitchen doors and saw the kitchen was in a mess from last night.* Oh... right...last night... *facehoofs herself and gets started on cleaning up the kitchen, starting with levitating the dirty dishes to a large silver washing sink.*
NightStrike heard Blissy's voice coming trough his door. "Ugh, I'm coming there..." He replied. His head hurt, a lot... after that bottle of whiskey. What a stupid action was that. He couldn't even remember that much except for him going to his room after he noticed he got a bit drunk and fell asleep there. Well it was his own mistake, he should get up now. And so he made himself ready for another day showering shortly and making his mane look somewhat more decent. He then trotted outside of his room and spotted Bliss in the kitchen. "Eeeyo, Blissy" He called out rubbing his head a bit and shaking it to clear his mind up. "Sowhatdidyasaywasgoingon? Andwhere'sPolly" He asked mumbling slightly.
*Growls a little more, flicking his tail more ferociously, weighing up the options in his mind he sighs and decides it's best not risking flying above the fog, he snorts a little and turns around. He still felt uneasy and felt the urge to be with Blissy, though he could sense she was safe and sound somewhere below he still wanted to be by her side, for her comfort as much as his own. Without speaking to the others who were preoccupied with their various activities he trotted down to the decks below. His ears perked up hearing the clanging of glasses and plates in the distance, he followed the noise as best he could, stumbling into a few wrong rooms along the way until he found the kitchen. A little smirk crossed his face as Bliss had her back turned to him, part of him wanted to sneak up and surprise her but he knew he probably shouldn't after the strange events of the morning and the emotional times they both had the night before, plus she could smash one of the plates or glasses. He groaned a little fighting back his playful side and walked over to her side, clearing his throat a little and grabbing one of the cloths to help out* Hey Bliss, I thought I would come give you a hand.... *he sniffs and drools a little* Is that... Banana pancakes I smell.... *He shakes his head and focuses on the task of cleaning up, thinking to himself that she made alot of mess but didn't mention it, he bumped his side against hers as they stood side to side and grinned a little*
Hehe, hey bro, *she nuzzled him as he helped* Yup its the infamous Blissy Banana Pancakes! I only got started on the batter though. I've not set up the pan and butter yet to get it cooking... This kitchen is such a mess I just couldn't bring myself to make another mess without cleaning up the one from last night! Thanks for helping me. *she smiled gratefully* *She levitated a clean pan that Seth used to cook his meat on, back where it belongs, then proceeded to clean out the coffee cups that Volt, Polaris and NightStrike cleaned out too, when she turned her attention to NightStrike* Oh your up black uni? *She giggled at the bed head hang over unicorn* You might have missed what I heard... There's a weird fog going on outside. Polaris is attempting to clear it with his magic, but it appears not to be having an effect. Maybe you can help him?
Seeing the fog intensify, Seth stepped back a couple of feet. "Hey Volt, I might not be a weather pony, but wouldn't sending pure energy into a dense field of unstable magic-energy be a bit... unpredictable?" He asked, looking over to his friend. "If I'm wrong, just tell me, but it seams a bit off-putting for a wolf who knows nothing about magic. If you need it, I have a rocket launcher-" He stopped mid-sentence, realizing what he said. "Sorry, I mean flair gun that could do the trick." He corrected with a sheepish smile.
Volt locked at Seth like a cow looks to an incoming train "uh.. yeah.. you are right.. but.. we can try! FOR SCIENCE! nah.. kidding... yes it can have some 'unforseen consequences' eh eh... but... maybe the 'flare gun' can work... uhm... i don't know... i need some coffee... maybe i should also get a proper breakfast... why didn't i think about it? meh.. thank you Seth" Volt said nodding with his eyes closed "Luna damn this... for the first time that i could have a nice sun bath! This damn fog! yargh! "
NightStrike said nothing more, and nodded towards the two ponies silently before making his way over to Polly. He'd like to see that weird fog for himself. He finally saw Polly and trotted towards him, "Well, how are ya Polly. So this fog suddenly appeared while I was asleep eh? Can you give me a small sitrep on what happened?" He asked, when he noticed that the unicorn was using his magic manipulate the fog, to no avail it seems. "Can I help you with that Polly? I've always been more of a physical unicorn, I can do a bit of telekinesis and teleporting but not much more. But I might just be able to help you a little bit."
*He turned around to face the charcoal unicorn with a look of an exhaustion in his face, before shooking his head while still heaving from all the exertion that his constant use of negative energy brough to his body* Morning... Well like Blissy had probably told you already, NightStrike, we really have no idea where this fog came from and from what I could sense from it; it seems to be entirely magical in nature and even my magic disruption ability did very little to affect it, since it keeps renewing itself everytime I try to dispel it. I don't know about your magical abilities, mr NightStrike, but if you have any ideas how to deal with this rather mysterious occurance, I'm listening.
*Satisfied with the pots, plates and cups being finally cleaned and put away, she levitated out a pan, some butter from the fridge, and along with the bowl of pancake batter and turned on the stove, all in one aura magical sweep of her magic.* It's so odd that I've gotten the hang of this levitation thing... I can do more and more with it then when I first started out! *she placed the pan on grail and started the fire to light it up, then smothered the pan in butter and waited for it to bubble* I wonder if...I should attempt to cook some bacon...for Seth and Polaris I mean... I mean they both love their meat but... *she squirmed, her face turning green* I just can't imagine cooking a...pig...on a pan... *Shakes her head* Oh I forgot about the coffee! *she galloped to what looked like a fancy steel coffee machine and tried to figure out what kind of brew she should make. She loved her coffee as much as the next pony, but when it came to the bean, she always preferred a darker roast. Finally after examining the cans of beans she could choose from, she finally spotted a sparkling brand from the Crystal Empire. It was a crystal dark blend mix, with a hint of vanillia. She smacked her lips in anticipation and began prepping the coffee quickly.* Oh Skylar? *She called as she grinded the beans* Could you pour a small heap of the batter into the skillet now? It should be warm enough for cooking.
Seth waisted no time getting to his room. Hi was still a bit flustered giving away that he had a rocket launcher on the boat. The truth was, it wasn't the only weapon he had. Going over to one of his bags, he opened opened it to reveal a foam cover. Taking off the cover, he was greeted by a pistol, a rifle, two flash-bangs, and the rocket launcher. There was also a flare gun with three additional flares. He picked up the gun and strapped it to his side with a holster that was also in the bag. He then added the extra flares to the belt. With his arms complete, he reseated his bag and walked out the door. Feeling his stomach grow impatient from lack of food, Seth decided to meet the others in the kitchen. He walked in to the smell of coffee and pancakes. Seeing Bliss at the stove, he walked up to the counter. "Morning again. If I may ask, what is that wonderful smell?"
Volt entered in the kitchen, locking and sniffing around for some coffe, he then noticed Seth and his quantity of weapons "ueh ueh wolf! what the hay? are you trying to start another war with all of that stuff? ahahah! " Volt smiled "come on! it is just a supid fog! i am sure it will go away soon! so... somepony got coffeeeeee???"
Oh it's banana pancakes, I also started a pot of Crystal Empire Dark Roast coffee, do you want me to cook you and Polaris up some bac- *she turned around and realized Seth was covered with what looked like a heavy arsenal. Her ears went back and her pupils shrunk* Um...Seth...? Did you see something in the fog too or you just as paranoid as me... *She then turned to Volt and nodded at his comment* Exactly what I was thinking Volt... is there something I'm not aware of with the fog? *She gulped down the intimidation and levitated the pot of coffee over along with 6 coffee mugs and began pouring.* Can we not think about poltential battles and enjoy some breakfast? My treat? *she grinned*
Volt sneaked behind BLiss, and then jumped on a mug after it got filled, taking it with his hooves and covering it with his wings "MAH COFFEE! MAH PRECIOUSS!!" He shouted empting the mug in only one sip "AAHHH.... this is like a drug for me.... i love coffeeeeeehhhhhhh thank you Bliss, this.. was.. awesome!" Volt stuck his nose on the mug trying to clean it up "mppf so.. about the mpfog" Volt surfed from the empty mug "i never saw somwthing like this before.. i am afraid to use my electricty on it.. probably nothing will happen but better safe than sorry.. but again.. we can try to move the ship in another direction! it would be the easier solution... is there more coffee left?" Volt asked pecking his face above Bliss's neck
*He puts a little butter in the pan causing it to spit and splutter a little, his eyes widened and he backed off a little looking unsure, he wasn't used to have to cook at all*Ummmm okay I put the butter in... what do I do know? *he says with a nervous laugh before trotting over to the coffee machine and sipping at one of the cups, he scrunched his face up and hung his tongue out a little, controlling himself as he noticed Bliss look at him*Ah, sorry sis it taste good but... I never really liked Coffee that much, I will just stick to cider... or maybe some tea if you have some? *He swishes his tail at her playfully and walks over to one of the windows, the fog still hung about outside seeming to get thicker by the minute, he fidgeted again nervously, pressing his face to the glass, his warm breath steaming up it's cold surface*
*She giggled at Skylar's apprehension and quicktly trotted back to the pan and levitated the pancake batter carefully, laying down 4 spots of batter at a time and watched carefully for the batter to bubble on the top.* Well I can see Volty likes the coffee at least, *she grinned at Skylar and Volt as she levitates her cup and addes in sweet cream and sugar* I've always loved coffee since I was a early teen filly. My papa introduced it to me when he showed me how to use sweet cream. His favorite was ciniamon hazelnut cream. Sadly I don't think it's made anymore *whimpers a little as she grabs a pancake spoon flipper from a spoon holder* First batch of pancakes should be done soon, who gets the first stack?
