"To us!" Flutters says while toasting, "The dinner looks really good babe. You really are improving! I'm happy." She takes a bite and couldn't believe it tasted so delicious! "So what would you like to do after dinner?" she asks.
Eris smiled at the compliment. It was a fairly simple dish, but it was a lot better than some of her previous attempts. "After dinner? Hmm..." She knew what she really wanted to do, but it had only been a couple of hours, and she didn't want to seem single-minded... "We could sit outside on the balcony? Watch the sunset with a glass of wine?" She noticed she had already emptied hers, and stopped eating for a moment to refill it and top off Fluttershy's.
"We can do that. Maybe roast marshmallows too?" Flutters asks. Its been a while since she had it. Now it just stuck in her head, she really wanted it along with chocolate and graham crackers. "Gooey graham!" she said. Her smile at the moment was brighter than ever before, besides when Eris proposed. (gooey graham=smores)
Eris chuckled, happy to see Flutters grinning so brightly. "Sure, we can do that," She leaned across the table and gave her a kiss. "But let's finish this meal first, shall we?" She sat back in her chair, smiling, and broke off a piece of the baguette.
"Yes babe," Flutters says, "I really like it. Maybe you should cook everyday." She giggled. Took a bite and then sipped on the wine.
After they'd finished, Eris scooped up all the dishes and put them in the bowl to soak, then led Flutters outside onto the balcony. She'd set up a little wicker love seat and a fire pit, and the whole balcony was lit by candles dotted around the place. She sat down on the seat with Flutters, and lit the fire, the flames burning a bright purple. They could toast marshmallows over it later. They'd timed their dinner just right; the sun was about to set, and the sky was already filling with beautiful shades of pink and blue. Eris held Flutter's hoof as she looked at the horizon.
"Babe, thanks for dinner," Flutters says. She was staring at the sky in such amazement, she couldn't stop looking. She could hear the animals hurrying up to their little homes. "This is very beautiful. I'm glad I said yes to coming here." She gave Eris a kiss and snuggled up to her while the fire was crackling.
Flutters blushed, she had to turn her face because she was super red. "It was wonderful," she mentions, "oh look babe." She points to the almost full moon that was in the sky, it had a hint of orange on the surface. "Whenever you want to start the gooey graham, let me know."
Eris chuckled, taking Flutters' words as a hint. She passed her the bowl of marshmallows and crackers, and then looked up at the moon. It was beautiful, but it reminded her of Nightmare, and she blushed a little with shame at the memory. She drank a little of her wine and stroked Flutters' mane, watching the sunset instead.
"Thanks. Did you want me to make you one?" Flutters asked. She started toasting the marshmallow and broke up the crackers. "Oh dang. Babe can you have the chocolate appear?"
"Hmm? Oh, right..." Eris conjured up the chocolate and smiled, "Sorry, I haven't made them before. I'd love one though, thank you~" She sighed happily and looked at the sky. The sun had more-or-less set, and the stars would be out soon. It might get a bit chilly, but that just gave her an excuse to cuddle up under a blanket...
"Thanks!" Flutters says, "Here try." She put the piece of chocolate and the cracker on top. She hands it to Eris. "You have to kinda press them together." She continues to make one for herself.
Eris took it in her paw. "Hmm..." She tried pressing them together, but must have pressed too hard, ending up with a pawful of crushed, smooshed, chocolatey mess. "Aw.." She shrugged and decided to eat it anyway. It still tasted good!
Flutters laughed. "Well that's one way of doing it!" She puts hers together and takes a bite. She moaned at the taste of it. "Thanks for getting this for me. I figured it would be a good treat. Oh we might need milk. Wine won't do good with it." She giggled. It's been a while since she had this awesome, gooey creation. After finishing her gooey graham, she wiped her hoof and and snuggled against Eris. She closed her eyes for a minute, thinking about everything that has happened that past two days.
Eris chuckled. "Is chocolate milk okay?" That was sort of her speciality. She conjured up a small pink cloud, and filled two glasses with the chocolate milk rain it produced. She set them down on a little table, and then licked the last bits of chocolate and marshmallow from her paw, before wrapping both her arms around her beloved Fluttershy. She smiled, feeling her heartbeat through her warm fur, and nuzzled her mane.
"Yes, chocolate milk is fine," Flutters says. She takes a sip and moaned. "Oh its good." She puts the drink milk down and cuddles with her love. She closed her eyes and fell asleep. (Ha i have chocolate milk. Already had a cup.)
Eris smiled at the sleepy Fluttershy, and conjured up a blanket to drape over them both. She stayed outside on the balcony, curled up with her beloved fiancée, looking up at the stars. She had sat in this place and looked at those stars hundreds of times before, and she had always thought how beautiful they looked. But now, their beauty seemed to dim in comparison to that of the yellow pegasus asleep in her arms; watching Fluttershy sleep peacefully in that moment brought her more joy than she'd felt in a lifetime of nefarious plots and trickery. She held her tight, wondering just how she'd gotten so lucky...
Flutters opened her eyes and the sun was already down. The stars were bright and sparkling. She glanced up at Eris. "Oh, aww babe" she thought. She gave her a kiss on the cheek and cuddled back into her arms. She didn't want to wake her. It was a long day, exciting mostly. She knew that took a toll on her love. Flutters just looked up at the stars, smiling.
Eris noticed Flutters stirring a little and opened her eyes, smiling. "Hey," She said, softly. "You wanna go to bed?"
