"It'll be okay," Eris said to Flutters as they were led into the castle. She kissed her cheek. "I promise." (Shall we see if Princy wants to play Luna and Celestia? Could be fun...)
Soon they arrived in the throne room, and were announced to the Princesses. (Niether do the Princesses I can play them if you want, it was just an idea ;3)
"Eris, Fluttershy; what a lovely surpise," Celestia said, looking at them with a slightly amused expression. "What brings you here?" Eris coughed. " Um, actually, we were hoping to talk to you and Luna..." (I very rarely know what you mean )
Celestia smiled and said something quietly to one of her guards, who then rushed off. "Hello Fluttershy." 'Tia raised an eyebrow, "What is that I spy on your hoof?" Eris blushed. Here we go...She thought to herself.
Eris wrapped an arm around Flutters' shoulder and took a deep breath. "I proposed. Fluttershy and I are engaged." Celestia looked at them with a barely-contained smirk on her face. "Well isn't that just precious? I'm very happy for you both." At that moment, Luna walked in, followed by the guard who had left earlier. "What is going on, sister?" She asked. "Discord and Fluttershy are going to get married," Celestia replied, looking at her, still smirking. Eris blushed at the mention of her old name, and looked at the ground.
Flutters smiled. "Yes sometime in the Spring next year," she said. "Luna, I need your help." She looked at Luna hoping she could help.
"I've been having nightmares...a lot actually," Flutters says and tells her about them. "Do you think something could be wrong?"
Luna thought for a moment, looking concerned. "Why don't you come back to my personal quarters? We can discuss it there in private; Unless you think Eris needs to be involved too?"
Eris looked at Flutters for a second, a slightly unhappy look in her eyes, then nodded. "That's right. I'll see you later, Fluttershy," She kissed her forehead softly before Luna led her away. It killed her that she couldn't help Fluttershy with her nightmares herself, and she wasn't looking forward to her talk with Celestia, but she knew it was what had to happen. Once Fluttershy and Luna had left, Celestia smiled. "So, you need my help, Discord? You wish me to ordain at the wedding, perhaps, hmm?" She asked, in a mocking tone. Eris sighed. "It's Eris now, Celestia, you know that..." Celestia always used Eris' old name; she wasn't sure if it was because she believed the transformation was some trick, liked embarrassing her, or just thought it was funny, but it was definitely intentional, and Eris found it upsetting. "Oh yes, that's right I forgot. What can I do for you, Eris?" Celestia replied with a smirk. "Well, two things actually," Eris began, reluctantly...
Flutters followed Luna to her private chamber. "I'm scared. Do you think it means again?" she asked. Luna pointed to the bed where she wants Flutters to lay. She walks to the bed and sits on it.
"To truly understand what's causing the nightmares, I'm going to have to enter your dreams," Luna explained, carefully preparing a sleeping potion. She walked over to Fluttershy and gave it to her. "Please, drink this, and we will begin. I'm sorry to have to make you experience the dream again, but this time it will be different; I will be there, and I will protect you." She put a reassuring hoof on Fluttershy's shoulder, and smiled. ------- Eris explained what had been upsetting Fluttershy; how the ponies in Ponyville had been treating them, and about Nightmare Moon and the pictures. Celestia sat and listened, still smiling slightly with barely-contained amusement. Celestia chuckled. "I suppose I can talk to Nightmare... although it sounds like you really brought that upon yourself; If you hadn't betrayed Fluttershy in the first place, there would be no pictures for ponies to be shown." Eris hung her head. "I know that, and I feel terrible about it, but I'm asking you to act for Fluttershy's benefit, not my own." After a moment, Celestia nodded. "Alright, for Fluttershy's sake, I shall see to it the pictures are destroyed." "What about the other ponies?" Eris asked, hating every minute of this. "I am sorry that the ponies of Ponyville are giving Fluttershy a hard time," Celestia responded, "But I am not certain what I can do about that; ponies are entitled to their opinions, and from what I heard, you turned a group of innocent ponies into Changelings." She shook her head. "I cannot condone that sort of behaviour, Eris, much less support it by telling those same ponies to be nice to you." Eris wanted to argue that the ponies had been being cruel before she transformed them, but somehow she knew Celestia would not be swayed by that argument. She had to do something though; she'd promised Fluttershy she'd sort it. "I don't care if they're nice to me; I just need them to stop being cruel to Fluttershy." She sighed. "I'll do anything, just convince them to change their attitudes." "Anything, hmm?" Celestia thought about it.
Flutters took the potion from Luna. She looked at Luna and said "O-Okay." She drank the potion and went to sleep within two minutes. ~~~~~In the dream, Flutters was with Eris getting ready for bed the day before their wedding. They both fell asleep and awoke to birds chirping. "Rise and sun, beautiful! You need to get ready," Eris said while kissing Flutters on the cheek. Eris left the room. She got up and took a bath. Once out the shower, she started to get ready. She noticed something was off. "Where are the girls?" she thought, "they must be there already." She headed to the place where it was taking place and no one was there except for Eris. "Where is everyone?" she asked. Eris shook her head. They looked around every where and didn't see any pony. While searching they heard screams. "Oh no!" Eris teleported them close enough to the screams. Almost all of the ponies have died only with a few remaining. The girls and Tia were fighting Nightmare Moon. Some how Nightmare Moon got away from Luna. Luna was on the ground trying to stay alive. Nightmare looked towards Eris and Flutters. "Well look who decided to show up," Nightmare said. The girls looked and screamed. "Get out of here!" Twilight said, "now! You have to get Flutters out of here!" Eris teleported them somewhere only she and Tia can go. "No! Take me back! I need to help them!" Flutters says while kicking and screaming. "No! You heard Twilight!" Eris said, "Tia knows where we are!" After some time, Tia appeared badly hurt. "Oh my god! Are you okay?" Flutters asked, "Where are the girls?" Tia shook her head and teleported them to the place. Flutters since Nightmare was dead, she was happy about that. "Twilight? A.J? Rarity?" she called out. Then seen them. They were dead. She screamed! ~~~~~Flutters woke up screaming loud enough to where both Tia and Eris came. "I can't do it again. Please don't make me," she told Luna.
Eris rushed over to Flutters and hugged her, holding her close, Celestia hung back by the door, watching awkwardly, and Luna leaned against the wall, regaining her breath. After a while, Luna spoke. "That was... unpleasant. You really should have come to me sooner, Fluttershy; allowing the nightmares to continue for so long has let them grow very powerful. I usually have more influence in the dream world than that..." She shook her head. "I believe the cause of the nightmares is clear however; you fear the relationship between Eris and Nightmare will somehow ruin your own, and that your friends will somehow blame you for this, resulting in you being alone. I do not believe that would ever happen, but it is something you are going to have to convince yourself of, if you want the dreams to stop."
Flutters hugs Eris while crying. She didn't know what to say. "But they were the same before me and Eris ever got together. The only difference was it was some pony's birthday and I was helping but Tia teleported me somewhere...well the same place in this dream."
