"Oh, sorry," Eris said, blushing a little, "I'm still not really sure how all this works. I've never actually been to a wedding before..." "Hmm? Oh, uh... nothing!" Twilight said, suddenly putting on an unconvincing grin. "I'm... really happy for you two, really! It's just..." She frowned, and looked at Fluttershy. "Really? I mean... no offence! It's just... I didn't see this coming..."
"Wow," Flutters says. She looked disappointed in Twilight. Every one else was happy for them. Pinkie stopped jumping and looked at Twilight. She had a shocked face. "What" Pinkie said. "Let's go," Flutters said. Rarity says, "Darling, I don't think--" Eris and Flutters both left before Rarity could finish. "Well now you made Flutters upset Twilight!" Pinkie said while getting her stuff to go after them. Rarity just looked and shook her head. "I agree."
Flutters and Eris had already left the spa, Eris' arm wrapped around Flutters' shoulder as she tried to comfort her, when Twilight teleported in front of them. "Wait" She cried, looking at Fluttershy, "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to upset you, and I am happy for you guys, I was just surprised; I didn't realise you two were the marriage type."
Flutters looked at Twilight. "It's okay." She didn't know what to say. She was a little upset but knew Twilight meant well.
Eris coughed, breaking the slightly awkward silence. "I'm not really the marriage type, I'm just the loving-Fluttershy-with-all-my-heart type, and that you should have realised, Twilight." She looked at Flutters and smiled, giving her a loving squeeze. "Now if you'll excuse us, it's been a long day, and we're going to get lunch. I'm sure we'll see you again soon, Twilight." Eris said, politely, before leading Flutters off towards a little restaurant she liked.
"See you around," Flutters said. She took Eris hand and looked up to where they were gonna eat at. "Really? This place is expensive. Are you sure?" she asked.
"Don't worry about the cost, just enjoy the food," Eris said, smiling, "And the service," she added, remembering the waiter pony in Ponyville... Eris had made a reservation here earlier too, so they were soon shown to a table and given menus.
"Oh babe, I don't know what to get," Flutters said while looking over the menu. "Did you want to share an appetizer? The breaded Zucchini is great but only if you want it. The other items are good too." The waiter came up and asked if they wanted anything to drink. "I'll take Jasmine tea."
"Breaded Zucchini sounds great," Eris said, smiling and squeezing Fluttershy's hoof. She ordered a glass of cloudy lemonade, and then smiled as the waiter pony walked off, happy at the lack of attitude or sour looks. "So you don't want me in a dress?" She teased, looking at Flutters again and grinning.
Flutters popped her head up. "What? Oh that..I always figured you the type to wear a tuxedo," she said. She didn't think Eris would want to wear a dress. "Unless you want too." She laughed.
Eris raised an eyebrow in mock offence. "A tuxedo? Maybe Discord would have worn a tuxedo, but I'm not really sure it's my style..." She pondered for a moment. "I'm not really sure what to wear..." She rarely wore clothes, unless they were props in some joke or prank, but she felt she should probably wear something. A tuxedo felt wrong, but she always felt a bit ungainly and ridiculous in a dress...
"I'm sorry," Flutters said. "You can wear whatever you want." The waiter came back with the breaded zucchini and took their order.
Eris ordered the four mushroom ravioli, then turned back to Flutters. "Are you sure you want to give me that much freedom?" She asked, laughing a bit as images of herself dressed in full carnival gear filled her mind.
"Well it can't be anything I find inappropriate for our wedding," Flutters says. She picked out a zucchini and bit into it. She moaned, "its sooo good."
Eris smiled at Flutters' reaction, picking one up for herself. It was good! "That's why I need your help!" She moaned, playfully, "You know I'm no good at picking clothes..."
"Sure but I don't know now," Flutters said. She keep eating the zucchini. After a couple minutes, the waiter came out with their food. "Oh it looks good!" She thanked the waiter and took a bite!
"Speedy service," Eris commented, looking at the food. "Does Rainbow work here or something?" She chuckled to herself, and tucked into her ravioli. It was delicious.
Flutters laughed. "Dash would never work in a place like this unless she was in charge the whole time," she said. She started eating her special salad. "Do you wanna try? It has nuts, berries, some cheese."
Eris nodded happily. "Sure, sounds nice." She floated some over, making sure to get a bit of everything, and placed it gently in her mouth. "You have excellent taste~" She said, smiling at Flutters. "You can try mine too, if you like" She offered, pushing her plate towards her a little.
Flutters takes a bite. "Oh it is good." She finished chewing it then said, "would you want to get desert some where or anything after?" Started taking bites from her plate.
