"I don't mind, sweetie; I leave it entirely up to you~" She smiled and gazed lovingly at Fluttershy, having finished her food.
"It still is early," Flutters said and looked at the time. Its only going to be 6:45pm. "We can go to that new coffee house. I heard it has great music and coffee along with everything else." She took the last bit and was finished. The waiter came up and dropped off the check then took some of the dishes away.
Eris conjured up some bits, and placed them on the check, including a hefty tip. "Sounds lovely," She said, smiling at the idea of having a coffee and listening to some live music with Fluttershy. She hoped there would be a sofa they could cuddle on...
"Yay! I hope some pony is good playing," Flutters said while getting up. She grabbed Eris' paw and headed to the door. Outside the sun was slowing setting, "oh its beautiful." They walked a bit, window shopping. She wanted to go into all the stores but knew they were closing soon. "I'm glad the coffee house is open late. Oh look we're here." She opened the door and headed in.
Eris was happy to see there was a sofa free, and after ordering their drinks at the counter, they made a beeline for it, taking their seats just as a beige-coated unicorn made her way up onto the small stage. Eris wrapped an arm around Flutters, pulling her close as the unicorn began to sing.
"Mmm. Apparently she made quite a stir in Manehatten before coming here," Eris said, nodding. She relaxed a bit more into the sofa, nuzzling Flutters' mane a bit.
The performance was done. "I'm gonna use the lady's room," Flutters said. She got up and walked to the bathroom. Inside the bathroom, she washed her hands and looked at herself in the mirror. She dried her hoofs and went back to were Eris is.
"Hey, I bought you a muffin," Eris said, halfway though her own when Flutters returned. She offered her the muffin, and smiled, waiting for her to sit down next to her once more.
"Oh thank you," Flutters said while sitting down. "Did they say who was next to perform yet?" She grabbed the muffin and took a bite.
"Oh, some earth pony with a contrabass, I think," Eris said, looking up at the stage. "Apparently she usually plays in a quartet or orchestra, but is trying to branch out into solo work. I'm not really sure how good a contrabass will sound on it's own though..."
"Oh I don't know either," Flutters said while smirking. The performer came onto stage and started talking a bit then started to play. Flutters was too busy eating the muffin to notice that Luna and Tia came in and went into their own little VIP room.
Eris was happy to be proven wrong; the music the pony was playing was simple, but beautiful. She sat back in the sofa, and got lost in the music, not noticing the Princesses either.
"Well she is actually pretty good," Flutters said, "I wonder who is after her." She giggled. "Maybe you should go up there."
"Me!?" Eris said, looking terrified. "No no no... you know I'm a terrible singer." Eris had a very difficult time following a rhythm of staying in one key, tending to just change pitch randomly while singing. It sounded fine to her, but she had discovered that ponies didn't seem to appreciate it much...
"You don't have to sing," Flutters said. She thought Eris could go something that would make the ponies see she isn't a threat anymore. "Maybe magic tricks or umm..something."
Eris thought back to the last time she'd performed in front of ponies; she'd still been Discord back then, and her stand up comedy routine had bombed at one of Celestia's parties... She sunk a little deeper into the sofa. "I-I really don't want to..."
"It's okay," Flutters said. The performer was done and got of the stage. "Well another 5 minutes till the next performer," she said. She kissed Eris and snuggled into her arms.
Eris smiled at the kiss and cuddled Flutters lovingly, perfectly content to sit there with the mare she loved and watch the world go by. She didn't really pay much attention as the next act made their way onto the stage.
Flutters just sat there, listening to the performer. "Maybe we can go home after this act or we can go now if you want."
