"I will have a chocolate milkshake with whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles and a cherry please, good sir!" Eris announced, happily. "But I too require more time to browse your food menu,"
The waiter nodded and walked away. "I have no idea what I want. I can just have a croissant or danish," Flutters said while trying to pin point what to eat.
"We could get a platter of pastries, then take the ones we don't eat home?" Eris suggested. It was always good to have spare pastries...
"Agreed!" Eris said, grinning. "Waiter! Make it so!" She exclaimed, pointing her paw dramatically, sending the poor waiter pony who'd brought their drinks off a little confused. He came back a short while later with about a dozen sweet and savoury pastries on a plate.
Flutters grabbed a cheese pastry and started eating. "Its so good," she said with food in her mouth. "Oh I gotta drink my tea too!"
Eris smiled and wiped a few pastry flakes from the corner of Flutter's mouth as she drank her milkshake. It was so good! Better even than normal chocolate milk!
Flutters grabbed another pastry and ate it. "Man I can eat like 10 of these!" she said laughing. She knew she should stop after this one but she needs her energy for later tonight.
Eris giggled, and ate a pecan one herself. She liked the savoury ones too, but had much more of a sweet tooth than Fluttershy. She sipped some more of her milkshake, getting some of the whipped cream on her nose.
Flutters giggled and wiped the whipped cream off Eris nose. "Silly," she said, "what did you want to do tonight?"
Eris scrunched her nose a little, then licked the cream off Flutters' hoof and smiled. "Well... I thought we could do a little bit of planning for the wedding, then watch a movie, and then... maybe snuggle a bit?" She suggested, looking at Flutters, hopefully.
Flutters looked at Eris. "We can do that. I mean we do have a lot of time to plan but I guess its better than waiting till the last minute," she said. She called to the waiter and asked for a box to put the goodies away. The waiter left the bill and Flutters got up to pay the bill. "Are you ready?"
"Sure am!" Eris said, standing up and smiling, before kissing Flutters' cheek. They paid the bill and left, heading back through town to Fluttershy's cottage just as the sun was starting to set. Eris held the box of pastry delights under one arm, and wrapped the other gently around Flutters' shoulders as they walked. Once they were back, Eris went to put the pastries in the kitchen and make some tea, and let Fluttershy tend to her animals.
Flutters tries to comfort Angel but he isn't having it. "I'm sorry Angel," she said, "look the others are okay with me being away seeing how I brought yummy treats." She hold her hand out to show Angel, who looked and slapped it out of her hand and hopped away. Flutters sighed and went to sit on the couch.
Eris finished making the tea, and brought it to Fluttershy on the sofa. "Everything alright?" She asked, looking a little concerned as she handed Flutters a cup.
"Yeah, I knew Angel would be mad at me," Flutters said. She takes the tea from Eris. She grabbed the sugar that was on the table and put two cubes in. "What did you want to watch?"
"Ah... that bunny needs to learn he's not the only thing in the Universe anyway!" Eris said, smiling and trying to cheer Flutters up a bit. She turned on the tv, to browse the films. "Well, I've heard good things about No Country for Old Mares, but I don't really mind," She said, cuddling Flutters.
"Okay then, No Country it is!" Eris announced, putting the film on. She smiled, and kissed Flutters' mane as she cuddled her happily.
Half way into the film, there was a knock at the door. "Who can that be?" Flutters said while getting up to answer the door. At the door, Flutters opened it to see Pinkie. "Hey Pinkie," she said. She was curious as to why she was here. "HEYYY!" Pinkie said, "I heard you came back to town today and I wanted to stop by and bring you these!" Pinkie holds out a tray of cupcakes, each one with different toppings, smiling. "Oh," Flutters said, "they look yummy." She took the tray from Pinkie. "Well, I gotta go! Don't want to interrupt anything!" Pinkie said while winking. "I'll see you around!" Pinkie turns and hops away. "Bye," Flutters calls out. She watched as Pinkie hopped off into the sunset. "Well, we have more treats," she said to Eris while closing the door. She walked into the kitchen and put the cupcakes down then proceeded to the couch and sat down.
