"Are you forgetting something?" Flutters asked. She noticed Eris didn't have her coffee, so she decided to see what Eris thought Flutters meant. She sat down and started buttering the toast then putting jam on.
Eris grinned dopily. "Probably. I usually am. Uh, let's see... Oh, thank you for the breakfast! It's lovely!" She leaned over and kissed Flutters happily. Sitting back again, she looked around the table. "Oh! My coffee!" She filled her cup and levitated it over with her magic, taking a sip before putting it down. "Um.... Oh yeah!" She took Flutters' hoof between her paw and claw and stared into her eyes lovingly. "Thank you, for making me the luckiest mare in Equestria; you make me happier than I've ever been, and you're unbelievably sexy too." She leaned over again and gave her a longer, more passionate kiss. "That's about all I can think of now," She said, sitting back down and sipping some more coffee.
Taken back by what just happened, Flutters smiled. "I was only talking about the coffee but what you just said was the most sweetest thing ever. I love you!" she says and gives a kiss to Eris. She started to eat breakfast. They talked a little then Flutters got up to get the dishes to put in the sink. Started washing the dishes she says, "Do you want to paint the houses today and maybe have a brunch picnic after?"
"Good!" Flutters says. "I'm gonna put music on. I think this should be our song." She puts the song on.
"Hey!" Flutters says while blowing the bubbles away. "I thought it was a cute song but I guess not." She frowns.
"It's fine," Eris said, "But I'd rather listen to your voice than any song~" She didn't mean to upset Flutters, but she wasn't as keen on all this sing-songy stuff as ponies seemed to be.
"I just thought it was a cute idea for us," Flutters says, "It seemed to kinda fit us." She started to get stuff together for the picnic and put it into a basket.
Eris just smiled and decided not to push the issue any further. "Watcha thinking of for the picnic?" She asked, peering over Flutters' shoulder into the basket.
"Just a couple sandwiches and some fruit," Flutters mentions, "of course something to drink too." She paused for a moment before saying, "can you make some rainbow paint with your magic? The kinda that changes when the sun hits it in different spots." (Metallic style)
"For the houses?" Eris asked. "I could, or I could just make them that colour anyway. My magic does have it's uses you know, we don't have to do everything the pony way." She could understand why Flutters would want to do some things by hoof, but who enjoyed painting little houses!? "It would give us more time to snuggle..." She said with a smile, trying to convince her.
"Only one! I want to paint one!" Flutters says. She likes doing things by hand and its only 10:30am so they had plenty of time to do whatever they wanted.
Eris smiled and nodded. "Okay then. Guess if we're gonna hoofpaint one, we'd better clawpaint the other." She focused on the table for a moment, clicked her talons, and two pots of paint and two brushes appeared. She gathered them up. "You finish getting the picnic ready, I'll go get us set up out there," She gave Flutters a kiss on the cheek, then headed outside.
Flutters smiles and nodded. She watched Eris walked out and started making the sandwiches. Put them in baggies and put it in the basket with the drinks. Looks around for anything else and heads outside by Eris.
"Here you go!" She said, passing Flutters one of the brushes. She'd already opened the paint cans and put down sheets to stop paint falling on the grass. She'd also put sheets up on the trees next to the house she was going to be painting, just in case...
"Thanks!" Flutters says. She started painting one of the houses. "Once we are done, we can have brunch!"
"Yep." Eris chuckled. "It was a complex plan, but I think I got it." She picked up the other brush and started painting, managing to get almost half of it on the house. The rest ended up on the sheets or on her coat.
