Flutters narrows her eyes and gives a stare to Eris. Every time she does it Eris breaks and tells her. One time there was nothing wrong and Eris blurted out something from the past. She can't shake the feeling that something really is wrong and Eris wouldn't tell her.
"Really, nothing's wrong. In fact; everything's pretty much perfect, it has been since I first met you. You complete me, Fluttershy~" Eris thought for a moment, then decided. She'd been meaning to do this for a while now, and this seemed to be as good a time as any. She was nervous though, maybe even more than when she'd first asked Flutters to be her very special somepony. "I... I don't want to be apart from you ever again; I want to spend the rest of my life with you." She took a deep breath. "Fluttershy, will you marry me?"
Flutters couldn't get this all in her head. She was shocked that Eris asked her this, she always hoped it would happen one day. "I-I...I mean yes," she finally says. Tears filled up every inch of her eyes. "I wonder what the girls will say!?" she thought. Flutters jumped on Eris and started kissing her.
"Really?!" Eris said, overjoyed. She squeed, and held Flutter close as she kissed her; this was the best day ever! "Wait!" She cried, in between kisses. She'd forgotten! She clicked her talons, conjuring up a beautiful silver bracelet; it was wrought in delicate leaf designs, and inset with emeralds. She took Fluttershy's hoof and slid it on. It fit perfectly.
"Oh my god babe!" Flutters says, "It's so beautiful. I love it." She didn't know what to do besides make out. "I can't wait to tell the girls! Oh my...Rarity is going to want to design the dress and everything!" She was kissing Eris in between everything she said. "I love you!"
Eris blushed, loving the kisses but a little nervous about everything else; she wanted to marry Fluttershy more than anything, but the idea of the actual wedding scared her a little. What if she screwed it up? "I love you too, more than anything~" She replied, holding Flutters close and whispering in her ear.
Flutters giggles. "I'm so happy," she says, "don't worry babe, it will all be okay." She knew the girls would try everything in their power to make sure its the best wedding ever. "Maybe we can get married next year in the Spring? That way we have time to plan everything." It was almost the end of Spring and love the smell of the flowers when they first blossomed. "Pretty much a year to get everything done." she thought and she wasn't worried.
"Yeah, yeah that sounds nice~" Eris replied, smiling happily. She didn't really mind when it was, or where it was, or even who would be there; as long as she got married to the mare she loved, she knew it would be the best day of her life. Right now though, they were alone, surrounded by nature, and not limited by time. She gave Flutters a smouldering look. "Want to celebrate properly~?"
"Oh you silly!" Flutters says, "here though?" She wouldn't mind but she rather do that when no animals were looking. "Treehouse? Maybe we can stay a night or two here. We would need a bathe and a tiny kitchen, not to mention a bed! It could be our little place to come when we want to get away."
Eris smiled and nodded. "Sounds perfect. Just give me a second..." She reluctantly let go of Fluttershy and walked over to the edge of the woods, just where they met the river. She concentrated for a few moments, and some of the smaller trees started forming themselves into a a small, two tiered house, complete with balcony, nestled up in the branches of the larger trees. She'd let Flutters help her design the interior, but she weaved a spell into the structure so that only she and Flutters could see it. "How's that?" She asked, returning to Flutters.
"Oh babe! It's lovely! We might need to go to town for some supplies. Is there a town close to here?" Flutters asked. It was bigger than she ever imagined!
Eris grimaced slightly. "You know what? While we're here, if you need anything, just ask me, and I'll conjure it up for you. I- I'm putting my hoof down." She said, uncertainly, but trying to look determined.
Flutters looked and didn't know what to say. She wanted to see the surrounding areas, explore places she hasn't but it seems Eris didn't like that idea. "Oh..okay," she said. She went inside the tree house to see what exactly they needed.
Eris followed Flutters nervously, sensing her remark hadn't gone down too well. "It's just, like you said, I thought this could be a place for us to get away; just the two of us? I thought it would be romantic..." She looked down, sadly, feeling she'd screwed up again.
"I meant get away from Ponyville and every pony that has those mean remarks," Flutters says ,"but if you don't want to go anywhere, we can stay here. I just wanted to see how ponies are over here."
Eris Shrugged. "There really aren't many ponies nearby. The nearest big settlement is Canterlot; I used to come out here to get away from ponies after I was unfrozen, but before we got together." She was so lonely and lost back then, and somehow this place had always given her comfort... She wanted to share this; one of the few good things from her old life, with the mare at the centre of her new one.
"Oh, thats the only town around," Flutters said, "Well we are gonna need some towels, pretty much everything for the bathroom, a few pots and pans along with cups and plates. Also a nice big bed with extra sheets!" She smiled and wondered what every pony would say when they hear about the engagement.
"Leave it to me!" Eris said, cracking her claws and smiling. She conjured up two sets of towels, one yellow and one grey; made copies of all the things she could remember from their bathroom at home; some nice copper pots and pans; white plates and cups, decorated with green leaf designs and vines curled into heart shapes; and an enormous four poster bed, complete with thick duvets and lots of plump pillows. "There!" She announced, happily.
"OOOOO," Flutters squeaked, "I love it! Do you think we need again else?" She thought about a little radio or a tv but didn't want to have it if Eris didn't. She kisses Eris passionately. "Want to try out the bed?" she said while giggling.
Eris smiled dreamily at the kiss. "Hubawha~?" She shook her head and focused on what Flutters had said. "Oh, I think it would be wrong not to~" She said, grinning and picking Flutters up. She threw her down on the bed and climbed on top of her, kissing her and running her paw through her mane.
